4 - Bloodline Strengthening

The Forest if death is a huge triangle ground of Konoha. It houses various ferocious chakra beasts and is considered a dangerous place where chunin exams usually take place.

Inside the forest currently a young kid was fighting a huge black near inside the beast's territory.

The beast was more than three meter tall and had a ferocious wide body. Its paws had thick claws which could RIP through human body like nothing.

But currently you could see from the bear's expression that it was furious while chasing the kid around. The exhaustion could be read from its face but the kid looked calm and his breath was unhurried.

The kid was almost six years old Nori. A month had passed since he absorbed chakra from the corpse of a rat type chakra beast. So his body was ready for another steal.

This time Nori chose to fight the D rank bear chakra beast in front of him because he wanted to confirm something about his unique power. Nori had improved a lot but his strength was still not at level of genin.

The D rank beast on the other hand could fight two to three genins at the same time. One would think that this situation would be dangerous for Nori but that was not entirely the case.

It was true that his strenght was nothing compared to that of the bear but his speed was another case.

Nori's body speed was the only strong point which was at level of a new genin. He had trained his body while paying attention to his improvement in speed and even used weights on his small immature body.

Nori also had great reaction speed which complemented his speed and it became easy to dodge the attacks of the bear in minimum time to avoid damage. This was thanks to Minato.

Before encountering Minato, Nori had been focusing on all the aspects of his body while trying pretty much evenly. But Minato had huge advantage in body speed and reaction speed. So to keep up with him, Nori changed his tactics and focused more than half of his training time to enhance his leg strength.

Now his kicks were lethal weapons and his legs could handle burst of explosive speed multiple times in succession without putting large burden on his body. Nori's reaction speed improved gradually while sparring with Uchiha Fugaku and Minato while also due to Nori's practice with dodging projectiles.

He had made a simple set up inside the forest which could fire multiple kunai and shuriken at the same time from different directions and Nori just had to cut a piece of rope to activate it.

The training may be brutal considering his small body but Nori happily completed it daily until exhaustion because he could confirm the results like in the battle right now.

The bear was exhausting his strength but becoming more furious with time. After all Nori was his prey in its eyes but it could not catch him at all. This also made its movements predictable and Nori who had already memorized all its attack patterns , finally saw the moment to strike.

The bear was on all fours but it had to swing its arm to attack so the timing of the swing left an opening every time. Now its movements were become wide because the beast was not in it's right mind and was exhausted.

Nori took advtange of the opening and threw a sharp kunai through the gap with all his strength.

Blood suprt and the beast screamed as it stopped abruptly and held its head. The screams of the beast were loud but Nori was pleased to hear them because his attack could be considered successful.

Nori was also becoming tired slowly after dodging all the time and finaly his irritation was gone with the successfull attack.

Nori took a deep breath and rushed towards the unaware beast. He covered few meter distance in almost an instant and while dodging its claws , thursted the kunai more deeper using his palm into the bear's brain.

The bear stopped screaming and its corpse fell on the ground with a loud thud. A cloud of dust rose in the air and Nori stood smiling whir trying to calm him breathing .

He defeated a D rank chakra beast alone ! This was considered a huge accomplishment for him.

But he had no time to rejoice as the chakra would start leaking faster from the now dead bear.

Nori touched the corpse with his right hand and mentally activated his power " Chakra Steal ".

Immediately soothing sensation started coursing through his body and Nori could not help but close his eyes to relish the feeling.

He could feel it. His cells were vibrating frisky while absorbing the new power like a sponge.

" Chakra Steal " deactivated on it's own after few seconds as the process was over.

Nori opened his eyes and his gaze fell upon the slightly pale dead body.

' Looks like my guess was correct after all!'

Nori thought as he clenched his fist feeling the increase in strength compared to before. This time the increase was a lot and Nori could guess the real reason.

His power stole the residue chakra from the dead body . This was clear to him before.

But now Nori could tell that there was something more and it excited Nori a lot.

His power steal chakra from the cells of the dead body meaning its remaining vitality.

There were many benefits Nori gained from the cellular power of the dead body. First would be increase in chakra capacity.

Second would be the bloodline chakra of the corpse which would be assimilated into Nori's own body ! This was a huge boon to Nori.

Now Nori could understand the real reason why his chakra steal could only be activated once per month. It was simple. Because his own body would take time to completely absorb the new bloodline chakra!

In Naruto world there were many clan shinobi and they had kekke genkai / bloodline limits. Uchiha, Huuga , Nara , Terumi , Hoshigaki etc. There were so many and Nori discovered that he could gain those bloodlines for himself.

The best news was that there were no side effects for Nori at all!!

Now Nori's excitement knew no bounds. He wanted to collect corpses of shinobi as soon as possible to steal their bloodline chakra.

Soon though Nori was forced to face reality as he remembered that he was just a kid right now.

Looks like his dream to have sharingan , wood release , lava release etc will have to wait for future...
