1 Chapter 1: Pain

Nestled amidst verdant landscapes and bathed in the gentle embrace of serenity, the Hidden Leaf Village, Konoha, exuded an aura of tranquility. Its bustling streets hummed with the harmonious melodies of daily life, as villagers went about their routines with a sense of security and contentment.

Towering above the village, the iconic Hokage Mountain stood as a steadfast sentinel, its imposing presence a testament to the village's history and resilience. Carved into the mountainside were the colossal faces of the past Hokage, legendary shinobi who had led the village with wisdom and strength. Their stoic expressions watched over the village, symbols of the enduring peace they had fought to protect.

But amidst the picturesque facade of tranquility, a dark secret lay buried deep underground. Within the hidden recesses of Konoha, concealed from prying eyes, Orochimaru, one of the three Sannin, conducted his vile experiments. Unbeknownst to the villagers above, the shadows of the village held a laboratory of cruelty, where innocent lives were subjected to unspeakable torment.

Behind closed doors, Orochimaru's twisted machinations unfolded. The air within his laboratory was heavy with the stench of suffering, the flickering lights casting eerie shadows upon the grim chambers. Walls lined with macabre tools and mysterious vials told a tale of experimentation and desperation.

Within this malevolent enclave, Orochimaru's insatiable thirst for power knew no bounds. His subjects, prisoners of their own fate, endured excruciating trials, their cries for mercy lost in the suffocating silence of the underground abyss. The depths of his depravity remained a secret, a stark contrast to the bustling streets and cheerful faces that adorned the village above.

On a table writhing in pain lay a black-haired child with pale skin, about 5 to 6 years old, as the Sannin coldly watched and documented one of his last living experimental subjects rejecting the Hashirama Cells implanted into his body. At this moment, an alarm resounded through the depths of the hidden laboratory, luring the Sannin away from his cruel experiment and rushing to another part of the facility. He grabbed things left and right, sealing them away in storage scrolls before rushing towards his hidden emergency exit.

As waves of excruciating pain wracked the fragile body, the child teetered on the brink of consciousness. Through the haze of torment, disjointed fragments of memories flooded his mind — memories that didn't align with the young form he possessed. Visions of beings with extraordinary powers, advanced technology, intricate blueprints, remarkable inventions, androids, and supercomputers danced in his thoughts. Then an ordinary life, mangas, anime, engineering studies, and a young death. But the agony overshadowed everything else.

In the midst of this torment, a sudden commotion erupted around him. The room filled with the presence of the Hidden Leaf Village shinobi, their arrival heralded by the clash of metal and urgency in their voices. Outside, fights with nightmarish experimental subjects went berserk all over the facility. The Third Hokage's forces had discovered Orochimaru's lair, their mission to capture the Sannin in order to bring him to justice for his inhuman experiments and rescue any victims of his cruelty.

Amidst the chaos, a glimpse of the Third Hokage's weathered face caught their attention. His eyes held a mixture of concern and determination as he reached out to lift the boy gently. "Oh, Orochimaru, how could you," muttered the Third Hokage with grief on his face as he cradled the discovered boy in his arms. In that fleeting moment, a sense of safety washed over the boy, a glimmer of hope piercing through the pain, before being handed to another shinobi who carried him out of the underground facility.

While the Third Hokage and his forces followed the fleeing Sannin, who was escaping from the village he called home for so many decades, the boy clung to consciousness, his small body trembling with exhaustion. The weight of his memories — all three of them — those of the boy subjected to Orochimaru's cruel experiments, the echoes of a past life as a genius mind with exceptional knowledge in robotics and bioengineering, the last representative of a destroyed army, and lastly an ordinary life ending early with regret of a young death — threatened to consume him.

But nobody around them knew of this internal struggle. They were seen merely as an innocent child, rescued from the clutches of darkness. The child remained silent, his mind in chaos, keeping the awakening of their past genius a secret, a hidden source of strength amidst the vulnerability that had come to define them.

As the shinobi carried him back to the Hidden Leaf Village, solace awaited within its protective walls. Both sides of the child's mind fought a battle for dominance, the memories of a genius supporting the dream for world dominance and later revenge on an enemy that shattered that dream, a child orphan from Konoha experiencing the cruel and cold truth of the Shinobi World, and a student with an indomitable will to live. The powerful will of such a child devoured all the knowledge and information gained from his past selves but also got influenced by the cold and logical mind behind it and the determined instinct for survival, forming a completely new personality.

With the end of that internal war, the boy, completely exhausted from the pain of the last few hours and days of torture, gave his strained mind a rest as his broken body wasn't reacting anymore for a while already. He finally faded into the cold solace of darkness.

An unknown amount of time later, the sterile white walls of a hospital room greeted the young boy as he slowly regained consciousness. His eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the soft illumination that bathed the room. He felt the crispness of clean sheets beneath him and the gentle hum of medical equipment in the background. A fleeting sense of relief washed over him, knowing that he was no longer trapped in Orochimaru's cruel clutches.

As his gaze wandered, he noticed the figure of a nurse attending to her duties nearby. Sensing his awakening, she turned, her eyes widening with a mix of surprise and warmth. She quickly approached, a soft smile gracing her lips.

"Oh, you're awake," she said softly, her voice laced with kindness. "You're in the Konoha hospital now. The Third Hokage and his forces rescued you from Orochimaru's laboratory and brought you here. You're safe here."

The boy struggled to speak, his voice hoarse from the ordeal he had endured, his head hurting from the large influx of new information before passing out. With a gentle touch, the nurse offered him a glass of water, which he gratefully accepted, sipping it slowly to quench his parched throat. As the cool liquid rejuvenated him, he found his voice, albeit weak.

"Thank you," he managed to whisper, his eyes reflecting a mix of gratitude and lingering fear. His throat still sore from all the painful screaming.

The nurse nodded, her expression understanding. "You don't have to thank me. It's our duty to protect and help our people. You've been through a lot, but rest assured, you're in good hands now."

As the boy continued to drink, the nurse glanced at the monitoring equipment, her eyes assessing his vital signs. Satisfied with his progress, she turned her attention back to him.

"The Third Hokage is aware of your condition and has ordered the best medical care for you," she assured him. "You'll be under close observation, and the doctors will do everything they can to help you recover. It's honestly a wonder that you survived. A body rejecting the cells of the first Hokage usually dies. Be proud of yourself; you overcame a great calamity."

The boy nodded, a flicker of determination passing through his eyes. Though his body still bore the marks of Orochimaru's experiments, he found solace in the knowledge that he was now in a place of healing and protection.

As the nurse finished her checkup, she offered a reassuring smile. "Do you have any memories before you were in that vile man's hands?" Everything was hazy as he tried to remember who he was. Where did he come from? Did he have parents? What was his name? There was just a lot of knowledge, unrelated to himself. He didn't really remember who he was in either of his lives. As he didn't find an answer for any of these questions, he could only shake his head in dejection after a while. "Don't worry. We will help you. Rest now, young one. You're safe, and we'll do whatever it takes to ensure your well-being."

With those comforting words, she left the room, closing the door behind her, leaving the boy to his thoughts. As he lay in the clean hospital bed, surrounded by the gentle hum of the medical equipment, he reflected on the darkness and pain he had escaped, sorting through his mind, analyzing all he knew and learned. He vowed to himself that he would not let Orochimaru's torment crush him. He would rise from this darkness. He would use his newfound knowledge to reach unprecedented heights, gaining strength so he would never have to suffer in such a way and carve himself a place in this cruel world, leaving his mark on the Shinobi World. He would become superior. With a renewed sense of hope coursing through his veins, the boy closed his eyes, surrendering himself to the healing embrace of sleep. His last thought was, "I am in Naruto."

AN: And this concludes the first Chapter of my first Fanfiction, I hope it isn't too bad and all of you enjoyed it. If you did Leave some Power Stones. It really helps.

As I already explained in the Synopsis, he awakened the memories and intellect of Dr. Gero. But there is no KI in the Naruto Universe so there won't be any Planet destroying levels of Power anytime soon. Maybe at the end of the Story since the Big Bad in Boruto may be on that Level. It took even Dr. Gero decades to reach that level of himself, as the Red Ribbon army wasn't really powerful and destroyed by kid Goku.

The first Character I thought of to get the memories from was Tony Stark the Marvel Comic Version, but in the end I decided against it because a suit of high tech Armor didn't seem very fun in the Naruto Universe. I choose the path of Body Modification and Robots instead giving me to explore a bit of the Naruto Universe I didn't find many FFs of. And Dr. Gero fit very well into that. But that's enough for spoilers just wanting to tell you guys that I have some fun ideas for the Story without it becoming an OP fuck fest where the MC builds a one shot device after finding his first piece of Iron randomly in the Trash.
