98 Chapter 98: Rin Joins The Group

Ebisu, unable to contain himself, went directly to find Hagane Kotetsu and Kamizuki Izumo.

"Ebisu, big brother!" Upon seeing Ebisu, Hagane Kotetsu, and Kamizuki Izumo greeted him warmly.

As the two appeared very respectful, Ebisu couldn't help but suppress his anger and asked,

"Are you two spreading rumors about me?"

Hagane Kotetsu shook his head and said, "How could that be? Ebisu, big brother, you've shown us the way, how could we harm you?"

"Yeah, Ebisu, big brother, did you believe slander from others?" analyzed Kamizuki Izumo.

"Now all three groups are spreading the rumor that your new Confusion Jutsu was developed under my leadership. What's going on?" Ebisu said with a stern face.

"We never said such a thing." The two shook their heads.

They just mentioned that Ebisu contributed more.

"Don't talk about these unpleasant things, Ebisu big brother. I have something good to show you." Hagane Kotetsu signaled for Ebisu to come closer, then took out a novel.

"Izumo and I played a significant role in perfecting the Confusion Jutsu. This novel played a crucial part, and I think, Ebisu big brother, you can learn something from it."

Ebisu, with skepticism, opened the book and quickly closed it after seeing the contents, then looked around left and right.

"Cough, cough, this book is indeed good. I'll keep it safe for you temporarily." Ebisu decided to forgive the two younger brothers for now.

"Oh, by the way, look for me during the lunch break. I'll check how your Ninjutsu training is going." Ebisu added before leaving.

...

As soon as Obito entered the training ground, he eagerly found Rin.

"Rin, do you want a teacher or not?"

"Huh?" Rin looked at Obito with a puzzled expression.

"I mean, do you want to practice with Yumi-sensei?" Obito pulled Rin aside and asked.

"Aren't we already practicing together with Yumi-sensei?" Rin became even more puzzled.

Obito scratched his head, feeling like he had already made himself clear enough.

"I mean, not the daytime training, but receiving instruction from Yumi-sensei during our free time after classes," Obito explained.

"Are you asking if I want to become Yumi-sensei's disciple?" Rin summarized Obito's question.

Seeing that Rin finally understood his meaning, Obito nodded in satisfaction.

"Yumi-sensei is really powerful. If he teaches you, you'll definitely become stronger quickly," Obito said.

Because Mutsuki didn't allow disciples to openly discuss their mentor-disciple relationships, Obito didn't directly mention how becoming Mutsuki's disciple had led to such rapid progress.

Rin was well aware of Mutsuki's high teaching proficiency, as their class was often taught by Mutsuki as a substitute. However, Rin sensed keenly that when Obito mentioned "powerful," it might not just be about teaching skills.

Obito's sudden statement, coupled with the changes in Obito over the past few months, led Rin to speculate that Obito's remarkable transformation might be linked to becoming Mutsuki's disciple.

"If you're willing, Rin, after school today, we can go together to a place," Obito suggested.

"Wouldn't this be bothering you and Yumi-sensei, Obito?" Rin didn't give a direct answer but instead questioned Obito.

"Not at all, not at all." Seeing that Rin was considering it, Obito quickly reassured her. He had already discussed it with Mutsuki, and as long as Rin agreed, it would be fine.

In the end, Rin nodded, agreeing to go. Having a good sensei indeed seemed promising. She had a favorable impression of Mutsuki, and with Obito's strong recommendation, Rin couldn't help but become more curious about Mutsuki.

'How did Mutsuki's teaching bring about such a tremendous change in Obito within just a few months?'

After class, Rin stole a few glances at Mutsuki and noticed Mutsuki's good skin but didn't observe anything else.

Mutsuki, catching Rin's gaze, smiled gently in response while glancing at the teaching rewards.

[Completed one major class teaching]

[Rating: A]

[Received rewards: Violent: Leaf Adamantine-Strength Whirlwind, Chakra scalpel]

The rewards were quite good, one being Might Guy's favorite attack from the Konoha Whirlwind Taijutsu series, and the other a high-level Medical Ninjutsu with considerable power in actual combat.

After class, Mutsuki first went back to the main city area to have dinner and then headed to the southern forest to practice with disciples.

This time, it wasn't just the three disciples; Rin joined as well.

When Rin arrived, she happened to see Shisui and Might Guy practicing, which surprised her.

Rin didn't expect that Shisui was also Mutsuki's disciple, which made her even more curious about Mutsuki.

When they noticed Mutsuki's arrival, all four greeted him, "Yumi-sensei."

"Good evening, everyone," Mutsuki responded with a gentle smile.

"It seems like Yumi-sensei in private is pretty much the same at school and the training ground," Rin thought to herself.

Although Rin and Mutsuki hadn't communicated face-to-face, they had already exchanged information through the connection with Obito. Therefore, their interaction went smoothly, and Rin easily became a disciple.

"Your Chakra control is actually quite good. How about trying to learn some Medical Ninjutsu?" Mutsuki suggested.

He remembered that Rin showed talent in Medical Ninjutsu, having mastered advanced techniques like the Mystical Palm Jutsu at the age of twelve.

"Medical Ninjutsu..." Rin pondered for a moment, her eyes gradually lighting up, and finally nodded.

She felt this was a good choice, especially since there were renowned medical Ninja like Tsunade in the ninja world.

Tsunade was an idol for many Konoha ninjas, and Rin was no exception.

"Let's start by learning the basic Healing Jutsu," Mutsuki suggested when he saw Rin had a preference.

In the healing category of Medical Ninjutsu, there were not only advanced techniques like the Mystical Palm Jutsu but also lower-level techniques like Healing Jutsu and Hemostasis Jutsu.

As Rin was new to Medical Ninjutsu, Mutsuki didn't directly demonstrate but instead explained some theoretical knowledge to her.

After the disciples left, Mutsuki practiced breathing techniques alone in the southern forest.

In the Cnstant State, even sleeping was a form of training, but additional exercises would enhance the effects.

Mutsuki was well aware of the strengths and weaknesses of both breathing techniques. Typically, he used Constant with Stone Breathing because it provided a more potent physical conditioning effect, while Flame Breathing excelled in enhancing Fire Release during combat.

He was working on a breathing technique training plan for his disciples. Once it was completed, the disciples would engage in collective breathing practice, except for the newcomer, Rin.

Because neither of these breathing techniques was suitable for Rin, it was highly likely she wouldn't be able to master them.
