Chapter 159: Classic Projects of Konoha
"Really looking forward to it, the life of a ninja," Obito woke up early, finished his morning routine, and headed to the meeting point agreed upon with Mutsuki.
"I wonder who the other teammate will be. Could it be Rin? Is Yumi-sensei deceiving us to give us a surprise?" Obito couldn't help but fantasize.
"Uncle Teppan, give me a pancake," Obito quickly ran to the pancake shop to buy breakfast.
After buying it, Obito briskly ate while walking towards the training ground.
After studying at the Academy for so many years, he finally had the opportunity to experience the life of a ninja, and Obito was very excited.
"Ma'am, do you need any help?" Obito suddenly noticed an elderly person who seemed to need assistance.
Obito quickly finished his pancake and disposed of the trash before going to help.
"After helping the second elderly person, today is also a meaningful day," Obito said with a smile.

"It shouldn't be. Kakashi has graduated for several years, he's already a Chunin. How could he be interning with us? He must be here for training and just happened to run into us," Obito reassured himself.

"I should be the one asking that. Aren't you supposed to be in school at this time?" Kakashi said indifferently.
"You idiot, the Academy has been on break since last week," Obito seized the opportunity to retort.

"I don't have time to waste with you today," Kakashi said, ready to search elsewhere. He didn't have Obito's habit of being late.
"You're Hatake Kakashi, right?" Mutsuki appeared next to Kakashi in a flash and asked.
"So fast!" Kakashi's pupils contracted sharply, instinctively taking two steps back. He hadn't sensed Mutsuki's presence at all, not even a hint of his chakra.
After regaining his composure, Kakashi nodded and said, "Yes, I am. You must be Yumi, the Squad Captain."
Sarutobi Hiruzen had informed Kakashi that the squad leader he was to meet was Mutsuki Yumi.
Looking at Mutsuki's face, Kakashi recalled some memories. He seemed to have seen Mutsuki once before, perhaps during the Youth Ninjutsu Competition.
"Yes, that's me," Mutsuki smiled and nodded.
"Squad Captain?" Obito's sense of unease reached its peak.
"That's right, Kakashi will be your teammate from now on," Mutsuki announced directly.
"No, that's not right at all," Obito couldn't contain himself.
He couldn't fathom how the person Mutsuki claimed to know was Kakashi. It was true that they knew each other, but Kakashi shouldn't be here under any circumstances.
"Do you have any questions, Obito?" Mutsuki asked.
"Why is Kakashi, who graduated a long time ago and is now a Chunin, joining our internship team?" Obito scratched his head in confusion.
He had never imagined that it would be Kakashi, but somehow it turned out to be him.
"Internship?" Kakashi also looked puzzled. He had thought meeting Obito and Guy was a coincidence, but it seemed they were his teammates for the upcoming period.
"There are some special circumstances, but for the next few months, Kakashi will be your teammate. That's for certain," Mutsuki replied.
"Obito and Guy haven't graduated yet. The Academy organizes internships for outstanding students to get hands-on experience in ninja work," Mutsuki continued, answering Kakashi's question and explaining the internship for ninjas.
In an instant, Kakashi felt like Hiruzen had played him. What kind of nonsense was it to throw him directly into a group of ninja school students?
"After resting for a while, did I become careless and not even notice the Academy sensei getting close?" Kakashi reflected.
"Let's all introduce ourselves. Although we're interns, we're still ninja, and things are different now."
"Let me start. My name is Mutsuki Yumi. I enjoy teaching and watching students grow stronger little by little. As for hobbies, I like calligraphy and cooking," Mutsuki said with a warm smile.
"Indeed, Yumi-sensei!" Guy gave Mutsuki a thumbs-up.
"I'm Might Guy. I love training, and my dream is to become the strongest taijutsu ninja in the world. I want everyone to know that even if you can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu, you can still become strong!" Guy exclaimed passionately.
'He really would say something like that' Kakashi thought to himself, sarcastically remarking that only Guy could say such things about becoming strong without relying on ninjutsu or genjutsu.
"I'm Uchiha Obito. I enjoy helping people in need, dislike doing exams, and my dream is to become a Hokage surpassing all previous Hokages!" Obito quickly added.
Seeing everyone else finish their introductions, Kakashi realized he couldn't avoid speaking. He thought for a moment before speaking up:
"I'm Hatake Kakashi. I don't feel like mentioning what I like or dislike, and I don't have any particular interests or dreams."
"You didn't say anything except your name, did you?" Obito couldn't help but comment.
Kakashi simply ignored Obito's remark and looked calmly at Mutsuki.
"We can't force personal matters. Let's start our first training session," Mutsuki said, taking out three small bells.
"Within the next day, your success will be determined by whether you can grab one of my bells," he continued.
"Those who fail will have to deal with dinner themselves tonight and miss out on my special cooking."
"Boring," Kakashi thought, unimpressed by what he considered a trivial punishment.
