14 Chapter 14: Land of Cockroaches

I woke up from a sound I hear whilst being fast asleep.

As fast as I was able to I jumped from my bed, that's what would humans call it I think, and made my way to the main hall.

The other 17 clan members were already assembled and also the two Arashi stood next to the throne of the one and only leader of our Clan of the Storm, who wasn't here yet unfortunately.

[A/N: Arashi is Japanese for Storm (:]

The main hall was filled with silence, as no one, including me, dared to talk, anticipating the moment of his arrival.

And this moment finally arrived.

A shadow fell from the ceiling, massive in size, a cigarette in his mouth. A white and dense smoke rose from the cigarette's white end, concentrated at the top of the hall, making the ceiling almost impossible to see with the bare eye.

He wore a black leather jacket that was so long it could be confused with a cloak. On its back there was the Kanji for the word Sora, meaning sky.

The giant creature blew another load of smoke out of his mouth and looked intimidating, but yet kind on his clan members and subordinates. This was the elder and leader of our clan, the Tatsumaki.

[A/N: Tatsumaki is Japanese for tornado {:]

The Tatsumaki looked at us and gave a kind and warm smile before his cold and stoic expression returned to his face, as he started to speak in a authoritative voice.

"He has arrived, the first human to ever set foot in our domain."

This lead to a shock in the crowd, who could held it together and remained silent. That was an occurrence, that didn't happen in the last 100 yea-, I mean never. It happened never before.

"However, it seems like this human is not fully grown yet. We can only hope, that he's able to aid to our current situation. But there still is one problem left. We can't let it happen, that the Clan of the Shadow or the Clan of the Flame get him into their hands first. For that regard I nominate the fastest of our attack force to quickly secure him.

If my guess is correct, the Shadow has their 'Eye' already on him. We won't have enough time to discuss any plans, so I order you Pachinko to go secure him alone. Using your size and technique you will be the fastest if you go alone. But we will send a troop to accommodate the two of you on your way back. Understood?"

Even though I was surprised at first, that he meant me, I quickly caught myself and nodded.

"Then go."

As I quickly left the mansion, I heard the Tatsumaki assembling a small troop consisting of our strongest members, even including one Arashi.

I already knew where the human was, since the Tatsumaki used his chakra to create a small gust of wind, that traces the human.

Alright, let's turn it up a notch.

I was already going faster than 70km/h, even though I had incredible small feet, but I had to use that technique, the reason the Tatsumaki send me.

I concentrated my Chakra on my Feet and converted it into wind Chakra, while scarcely heating my chakra with a special Technique of our clan through Fire Release, which enabled me to overcome my physical limitations and brought with my speed on a completely different level.

'Wind Release: **** feet' and 'Fire Release: **** Kettle'

Even though these techniques were mastered by all of the clan members, the first one was most effective on me, which is the reason, the Tatsumaki's decision fell on me. I'm the youngest of our entire clan and have the lowest bodyweight of any member. That is the reason, that the wind at my feet, that boosts every jump I make, is especially effective on me.

[A/N: Just to clarify, Tatsumaki is a title not his name]

Despite the massive size of the forest, I reached the human relatively quickly. What played into our cards was that the human already entered our territory instead of a territory of the other clans. That massively largened the chance of my personal survival, which I actually found a good thing.

As I came closer to the human and already sensed him through the movements of the air.

I did that by extending my Chakra as an incredible thin layer into the air in the shape of a bowl that caught any sudden changes in the air around it and immediately noticed me. It was a technique I learned from my Father, one of the Arashi, called Pachero. The Jutsu's name was well chosen and very creative.

'Wind Release: Chakra Air Bowl'

I sighed. My Father wasn't the best at naming things, I must say, so I wonder if there something wrong with my name too.

Pachinko?

Whatever, there is the human.

What is this?

I stopped, as I sensed something ominous.

I didn't sense it through my Bowl, but it was rather just the feeling, that I was being watched.

I knew that feeling, Oh, I knew that feeling just too well.

I also felt it the day I first went into battle and I also felt it every battle after that, that involved them- the Clan of the Shadow.

Other than us, the Clan of the Shadow is primarily famous for its Illusion and Observation Techniques, which made them a very though and deadly opponent, but also was the reason that almost every attempt to ambush them had failed.

There were some times an ambush was working in the past and I even lived through one of them. It was an open battle between a member of the Flame and 3 members of the Shadow.

After the three were finished dealing with their opponent, without being very exhausted, we managed to attack them from behind and almost killed them with our first strike.

That and similar experiences in the past lead us to the assumption, that their observation is limited to a certain degree. Of course we have some guesses, but there's no explanation, that we can proof.

It had to be a minor weakness as well, as successful ambushes only occurred three times in all of the twelve years of my life.

I have to get the human fast, before the Shadow finds him. I don't have to worry much about the Flame since, they are not suited to move fast in this forest.

Ah, there he is.

A little boy with black hair and outfit, eyes in the color of a sapphire and a sword and scrolls attached to his waist, jumped from tree to tree, moving almost like one of us.

I got behind him and checked out, if he already had any followers.

Not good. My bowl sensed the movements of at least 5 other creatures. From shape, size and the direction they're coming from, I deduced them to be of the Clan of the Shadow.

I tried to make my voice as loud as possible, as I said "Stop right there human!"

The boy stopped on a branch turning himself looking at me with a kind of confused look, which was only natural as he just looked at a talking...

[A/N: Sorry for the short Chapter. I just don't have much time right now and figured it would be better to write shorter chapters then to stop writing chapters in general]
