5 Imma Graduate! Where's my robe ?

AUTHORS NOTE : This is a long one, I really liked the combat scene personally, I hope you like them too. I did the author's note before the content because I really want to see your reviews about the combat, so Ciao.

It's test time ! I'm sitting in my classroom waiting for the old man to distribute the writing test. Writing tests in the Academy include all the subjects that are tested through, well, writing. They mostly put Multiple choice questions for ease of correction.

And the moment I get my paper, I fall on it like a ton of bricks, the questions are laughably easy, with a lot of them using ninja words, like "If Jin threw a shuriken at the speed of so-and-so at so-and-so angle at a target then would the shuriken hit the target" or "If Yagi had so-and-so kunais before going out and Akashi used 5 times less than Yagi to have so-and-so kunais, then how many kunais did Yagi start with". Just easy stuff really.

After a short while I managed to finish the test, so I asked the old man permission to get out.

"No, you can't go out until half the time passes"

"But why ? You're a goddamn ninja wouldn't you be able to catch any attempts at cheating ?"

"I don't know you brat ! Those are the rules, just sit back down and wait."

So while waiting I start doodling decorations around the paper to make fun of the teacher. Ah ! He looks so much better with a tic mark on his head !

"Alright brat ! Half the time is up, you can go now !"

So while walking through the corridors to the field, I come across several younger years having fun.

"Oi Fuji ! Wanna hang out ?"

"Sorry man, I have a test to go through"

"Oh yeah you graduate today ! I totally forgot about that."

"Yeah that's really cool ! You'll be the youngest graduate out of the Academy !"

"Yeah, you're going to be the best ninja of our generation !"

"Wasn't there that Uchiha guy at Konoha ? Isn't he also graduating this year ?"

"Yeah ! I wonder who's the stronger of the two"

"Well, we are allies with Konoha right now so I don't thi-..."

While their chattering faded behind me, I enter the field to see a couple teachers waiting for students who got out early.

"Hey Fuji-kun ! Why am I not surprised that you got here first ?"

"Hi Tanaka-sensei ! And to answer your question, it's because I'm a genius !"

"I don't know whether to laugh because it's funny, or cry because it's true. Alright, since you're already here let's just start the individual tests. So first things first I'm going to throw twenty of these paper targets one by one in the air on various positions, what I want you to try to do is grab your kunais and your shurikens, try to hit the first ten with kunais, and the second with your shuriken, you'll get graded out of twenty." He says while holding a stack of cardboard like paper targets. They look strangely like paper Frisbees.

"So then, are you ready ?"

"Hai !"

So he throws the first target, exactly like a Frisbee, it's a simple straight shot so I get it, then the second, and third, and so on. The first ten got thrown with different speeds and distances, it was only when we switched to shurikens did it start to get more tricky, he started to throw them in awkward positions, behind Boulders, targets, one was even behind him, I had to bend my throws in some strange ways to get those, the last one was even 2 targets at once, and to get the best score possible, I tried to get them with one shuriken, which I succeeded at, but it was just barely.

"Good job Fuji-kun, perfect score !"

"Next we'll go to the Academy three, leave the Kawarimi to last, you can start anytime"

"Okay"

I make a quick one-handed Tiger seal, and 5 clones appear in a smokeless screen around me, I switch to a Dog hand seal, and I transform into the sensei. After making sure he noted the two, I make the Clones and the Henge dissipate in a cloud of smoke and perform a sealless Kawarimi with a close stone. The teacher just watches me with a raised eyebrow while he writes something in the notepad.

"Again, perfect score, you already demonstrated that you know how to break genjutsu, and seallessly too, on the class so I'm giving you a full score on that too. We just have to wait for someone else to go through these two tests so we could test your taijutsu, so please wait for a bit."

So I sit under the shade of a close boulder to wait for my taijutsu test, I yawn for a bit, I'm feeling quite sleepy, this position hits just the spot too. I hope I don't sleep while waiting...

*A quick nap later*

I get woken up by a kunai scratching my cheek, I didn't realize what was happening until I saw the sensei looking at me with a disapproving smile. He's one of the silent types, huh? Scary...

"Get up and get ready, you'll be sparring with Kaizou-kun here, do the Seal of Reconciliation and go wild, normal sparring rules, no grave harm, elimination through surrender or unconsciousness. Go on."

So we go to the center of the field while I observe my opponent, I sparred against him previously, average size, medium build and a direct style, his form is very stable and without openings even though he doesn't have great physical attributes, cautious in his approach, doesn't take risks so he won't get baited, I have to create a situation where the safe move is the wrong move, or I have to make him angry/annoyed. Plus I have to end the fight fast, he's 10+ years old while I'm almost 7 so he has a lot more stamina, I think I got it.

We stood some distance apart from each other, as per the rules we had to bow each other. The moment we finished bowing I ran full speed towards him, he was startled but still took a stance. I tried to jab him in the face but he blocked with his left hand, then I went for low kick on his left leg which he dodged to the right. He tried to jab me in the face so I ducked while I aimed for the opposite leg through a low roundhouse kick, since he over committed with the jab he couldn't dodge or block so he naturally had to jump over it.

I took advantage of his inability to move by going with a powerful spinning kick headed for his torso, he winces as he tries to block with his arms and he gets blown back from the blow. I don't give him an inch as I follow him before he recuperates, I do a slight jump while I feint a low kick with my left foot, he falls for it so I quickly switch to a right middle kick which connects, his guard drops while he instinctively reaches for his right side because of the pain, so I connect with a quick left jab, and another, and another, he gets annoyed so he dodges the next one to go for a right hook.

I slightly tilt my head to dodge the punch while I go for a gut punch, he really fell for the taunting jabs huh... Ugh I got saliva on my leg. Looks like he still has some energy on him so I go for a high kick, he puts up a weak block so I bypass it by switching to a Brazilian one, he falls to the ground so I put my leg on his back to keep him down.

"Do you surrender ?"

"Yeah, yeah, ouch ! Damn that hurts Yuji-kun"

"Yeah, sorry man"

I help him up and we put up a Reconciliation Seal, he does the same.

"Damn man you were really aggressive, you don't do that usually on our spars, or any spars for that matter." He says.

"When I fight to learn I tend to fight cautiously, I previously only sparred to get used to getting attacked so that I could get more combat awareness. When I fight to win I like to switch my fighting according to the opponent."

"That so ? And why go aggressive for me ?"

"Well, from how you're always serious in your studies, and how you got out early from the writing exam I surmised that you were the diligent, studious type, you like to observe and you tend to follow instructions, that means that as long as you're calm you go for textbook responses, you jab before a hook, you start with a low kick, and you try to get close to someone smaller than you, I had two choices, either create a situation where a cautious textbook answer is wrong, which I don't know how to do with just Taijutsu, or get an early advantage and try to make you annoyed so you'll slip, in this case, the jabs."

"Yeah, they didn't hurt as much but I was waiting for you to go for something else, when you didn't, I just thought you were underestimating or making fun of me so I thought I'd shut you up with a hook. "

"At the time It looked like I had the advantage, but if you endured a little more or tried to go for grappling I would have lost since while I may have been faster and more flexible than you, you have more strength and endurance than me, but I made a risk since grappling seemed too close for your comfort and got lucky."

Your Taijutsu is very solid but your battle awareness and your analysis of your opponent was outstanding, since I know you did pretty well for your written exam you get to get your headband right now.

"Finally ! Can I get the neck one please ? With a black sash too."

"Of course" He pulls a scroll and takes out the headband.

Before he even says anything I snatch it from him and tie it around my neck, kind of like how Hinata wears it. For some reason the added weight and the coldness of the metal makes me feel more ... complete.

"Hahaha ! I'm a ninja now !"

*Bonk* "Shinobi don't shout you brat ! Are you trying to burst my eardrums" He says while he has his pinky in his ear

"Ouch ! That's my Head !"

"Alright, since this is wartime come back this afternoon to get your team assignments, usually you'd get a weeks vacation but we really need the help"

"Alright ! See ya."

I run towards the corridors to the exit, just outside the academy I come across the kids that I bumped into earlier.

"Hey guys ! Wanna go eat some steak ? On me ! I'm finally a Ninja !"

"Hell yeah ! Let's go guys !"

"Thanks Fuji-kun, I was getting really angry"

"Yeah you're a lifesaver man."

*A good meal and a nap later.*

I'm going all jittery from this waiting, it's finally time to see who's going to be my Teammate, and what kind of team we'll be, I can fit in every kind, especially a tracker one with my natural sensing. I'm already friendly with everyone here so I know their personnalities to a certain degree.

The old chuunin sensei comes in along with a group jounins, the jounins stand in a line in front of the blackboard while the teacher sits on his chair.

"Alright everyone, it's time for your team assignments ! I will call your names along with your jounin sensei, which you will follow to whatever activities he or she has planned for you ! So without further ado,

Team 1, Kaito Hachimura, Chigan ..... .... .... ....

Team 2, ... ... ...
