A very long and strong looking man. White hair, red markings, he was-

"Jiraya the Gallant Toad Sage is here!" Well, he introduced himself.

Shiori felt very threatened by his appearance. She knew she didn't stand a chance against him, she would most probably be an Elite Jonin at best without any battle experience. Sure, she would be able to escape by transforming into a small snake, but she will loose majority of her power. But Jiraya will continue to come after her. She wasn't Orochimaru who had support of ROOT and hundreds of bases to hide from the world afterall.

So she had to somehow come out of the situation without a fight and convince him to stop coming after her.

"And what are you doing barging into my home?"

"You have a rather good home."

Yeah.

And then he sat down on the ground like he was in his playground. Shiori threw some meat at him and sat down as well. He catched it and thanked her for hospitality. Karen and Karin left the room as they really weren't needed there and could understand Shiori's gestures.

"Eat the food and leave. I don't have anything you can get from here."

"Hey! Do you think I am some petty thief!?"

"Of course not! If you were, you would already be the food of my pets."

"Hahaha! I like you lady!"

A shudder went through Shiori's spine. She immediately got up and covered her assets, if she even had any.

"No! Not in that way! I am not into little girls! And I don't think you will grow much anyway."

He muttered the last part to himself in disappointment.

"Anyways, I will get straight to the point. What is your relationship with Orochimaru?"

"Will you leave me alone if I tell you?"

"If you don't plan to do anything dangerous to Konoha, sure."

"You are not allowed to tell anyone, even your Hokage about my existence. And how can I believe you?"

"Do you have any choice?"

"Fine. But I am living peacefully till now in seclusion without any interference. Please don't ruin my life."

"Yeah yeah, I promise I won't tell anyone."

"Fine. I was kidnapped by Orochimaru when I was around ten. I don't remember much about my life before that except I was a normal villager.

The next thing I remembered was being in an abandoned lab in this forest, with my body like this. I died in the experiment but met with some old geezer. He had that, you know purple eyes and called himself Hagomoro something. I honestly think he was on drugs. He was calling himself Ancestor of Shinobi and some sage of I don't remember which paths. Then he was demanding me to train the second child of some prophecy and bullshiting that the next war will end the world, and only the two children of prophecy can save the world.

The next thing I knew, I was alive and have been living here for about two years thanks to something he did, by giving me some knowledge of Orochimaru's jutsu to survive."

She was bullshiting to save herself. She knew if she didn't have anything major, he will tell the Hokage about her, so Danzo will know and she would be dead someday while sleeping.

On the other hand, Jiraya was shocked at the revelation. He wouldn't have believed her story if not for her mentioning the name Hagomoro. He was the only alive human who knew the name of Sage of Six Path, from the mouth of Toad Sage himself, who apparently taught the Sage of Six Path about Senjutsu. The revelation about war and the end of the World was far more disturbing.

"Did the old man tell you anything more?"

"And what do I get by telling you about that?"

Jiraya now had to tread carefully. He previously thought that he would pass her onto a Yamanaka to get information about Orochimaru, but now she was an important figure for the safety of the world.

"I will give you Toad Summoning scroll. You can call me for help through it if you are in trouble. Your existence will be kept secret with me and I will give you information to survive in this world. How about it?"

Shiori considered the deal very good. The most threat she would face were Danzo, Orochimaru and maybe Akatsuki. And she had to do something about her status as a cavewoman.

"If you provide me snake summoning contract, tell me how to earn money and get various supplies, without attracting attention of any nation or group, then we have a deal."

But she needed more. It was becoming troublesome to deal with the amount of food her snakes ate.

"Fine. I will stay with you for a month and teach you everything about that. But you have to keep in contact with me and pass any strange information or anything about Orochimaru."

"We have a deal." Shiori smiled in satisfaction. She avoided the danger and somehow got a strong backer as well.
