16 Stable Foundation

After eating at Ichiraku Ramen, Yasui went around the village with Naruto and Katsumi. They bought things here and there, but all of the financial burdens came to him. Naruto is broke, and Katsumi had been using all of her earnings to pay back her debt.

As for him… After he paid for Katsumi's freedom, she was free, but it also meant that the amount of money he can work with is very little, only about 1.5 million Ryo at the moment.

It may seem a lot, but in the grand scheme of things, it's not even enough to cause a ripple in the world. That said, he wanted to generate more streams of income.

After returning to his apartment with Katsumi, Yasui had another long chat with her concerning his detailed plans for her.

There were many approaches as to how he was going to get money, but the critical question is if the business can run without him intervening in its operations. Meaning that he needed an approach where Katsumi can operate on her own.

In the end, he decided that he would entrust Katsumi with starting a fast-food restaurant with hamburgers as its main food. After roaming around the village for some time, he had come to an understanding that an establishment of this type has yet to exist.

He needed to dip his fingers into this industry before they even appear. That way, he can earn a lot due to being a leading figure in the field.

"What's a hamburger and a fast-food restaurant?" Katsumi couldn't help but ask after hearing about Yasui's plan. She has never heard of a hamburger before, let alone seen one. She is also confused by the concept of fast food and wonders what the advantages of such an approach are.

Yasui understood her. Since this is the case, he took his time and explained his thoughts from A to Z. He started with the concept of obtaining the right ingredients, how to prepare them, and how to store them in a safe and healthy manner.

He also made sure that she understood that there are many automotive concepts and rules that need to be followed to operate a fast-food restaurant. From the grill to the delivery time of the order, Yasui didn't slack off on the details. If there is some cooking technology that has yet to be developed, Yasui told her to use his investment of 1.5 million Ryo to first create the necessary cooking technology.

Wondering where he learned this? It was his main field of study in his previous life. He had to make use of his knowledge somehow.

As for the details of their partnership, Yasui naturally didn't take advantage of her, and he gave her a 10% stake in the business. Considering that he is the investor and the person who has the plan, he didn't think that this is a bad percentage.

Katsumi didn't argue much because her arguments would be shut down by Yasui. However, she felt flustered at the amount of information that Yasui fed to her. She was not used to learning so much at once, and it was difficult to comprehend many of the concepts that Yasui explained to her.

Seeing her flustered expression, Yasui laughed and handed her a scroll that he prepared beforehand: "Here, this is a detailed list of goals that you should complete in the next 3 months. It is the rough plan that I made, and I may be missing or misunderstanding some points, but I trust that you can figure it out, big sis Katsumi."

"Okay. I'll do my best, Yasui." Katsumi replied with a blush. She felt that her face was red because she never had anyone care for her as much as Yasui did. Although he is a little kid, his mentality and intelligence are much more of an adult.

She admired him for that. It's just that… she wishes for him to stop calling her big sis! Why? She… she didn't know! It could be that she had a romantic feeling for him? It couldn't be, right? She couldn't get together with a little boy!

She felt that her feelings for the boy were becoming ambiguous and complicated. But one thing is for sure, and it's that she wanted to stay by his side and be of use to him. He is the person that will allow her to look forward to the future.

"Alright, Katsumi. I'll leave my separate account with the money in it for you. As for the living arrangements, I think… you can stay with me for a while?" Yasui asked with a hidden evil smile. Even if he can't do adult things, he will make use of the chance to cop some feels!

Haha, just kidding. He wanted her to live with him for the time being so that she won't be so lonely. Just telling her to leave and live on her own could affect her mental health. Having her leave will only make her productivity become worse.

Since he wanted to nurture great underlings under him, he had to provide them with a good environment to thrive.

Katsumi felt grateful and said yes to everything.

After dealing with Katsumi, Yasui left her to start with her tasks while he went to train. There was still a lot of daylight left, and he wanted to make use of it to get stronger.

As he exited the apartment, he couldn't help but recall Minato–the fourth Hokage's–quote. "There is no shortcut to being a ninja."

As that wise man said, there is no shortcut. Like how there's no shortcut to being a ninja, his financial empire has to start from scratch, and his strength also had to start from zero. All of them had to have stable foundations.

Shortly, Yasui arrived in front of a private Uchiha storage unit. There may not have been any monetary inheritance from the annihilated clan, but many of the clan techniques were preserved by Hiruzen after he filtered through them. Obviously, Hiruzen had taken some strong techniques.

Access to this storage unit was given to both Yasui and Sasuke a few days ago. This came at the perfect time because Yasui is in need of the techniques. He had mostly gotten the basics of a ninja down, and he wanted to learn more progressive things. Particularly, he wanted to start developing himself with Genjutsu and Fuinjutsu. While doing so, he also plans to develop and remaster some ninjutsu that he had learned in his previous life.

Also… he didn't plan to slack off on physical and tool-wielding training. He needed to become a well-rounded ninja.

It's at times like this that Yasui wished that he had enough chakra to make more shadow clones. He yearns for the nine tail's chakra inside of Sora so badly!
