Chapter 18

Hokage's Office*

Hiruzen had been sitting with a thoughtful expression ever since Naruto left the room.

"Everybody get out." Hiruzen said.

Several anbu that had been standing invisibly inside the room came out after he had finished speaking.

"Damn, all my plans were ruined. How dare he threaten me! Where could I have gone wrong? More importantly, what can I do next?" Hiruzen thought angrily.

Hiruzen thought for a while then, the man with one eye and arm wrapped in bandages entered.

Hiruzen looked up at the man who had come in, then said, "Danzo, I didn't expect you to know so quickly."

"No need to talk about those things now, you know what's important now." Danzo said.

"I know, but what can we do?"

"You should have given it to me in the first place. I was going to create a weapon loyal to the village from him."

Hiruzen said after sighing, "Sigh* How could I have known this would come to pass? If I had known in the first place that something like this would happen, everything would have been different. Anyway, now we have to decide what to do."

"I think the most logical thing right now is for me to take him into Root. I can make him loyal to the village with the seal. But we need to think about how we can neutralize it without fighting. We don't know what will happen if he fights. We don't even know exactly if he can release Kyuubi. Maybe he's bluffing?" Danzo said.

"We cannot take this risk. We have to deal with it when we send it out of the village. I'll send him on a distant mission after the Chuunin exams. You can neutralize it with root anbu once you get away from that village. Until then, let him do what he wants." Hiruzen said.

"Well, that's fine. I also researched Uzumaki who was with him. She works as a medical-nin in Kusagakure. The reason why she works as a Medical-nin is due to a special situation. If an injured person bites her, the person who bites is healed. I think we should place her in the CRA (Clan Restoration Act) later. In this way, we can raise suitable candidates for the village to be a bijuu container." Danzo said while grinning.

"Sure, good idea. Find a size that fits her body measurements. We make the body you find like her body. We then dismember that body and send it to Kusagakure. So they think she's dead." Hiruzen said with a smile on his face.

"Okay, that job is mine. If nothing else, I'm going now to settle things." Danzo said.

"That's it for now, I'll let you know if anything happens." Hiruzen said.

Danzo nodded in agreement and left the room.

"You asked for these, Naruto. We will enter both the Uzumaki region and Uzushiogakure using you. So the village will be stronger because of you. I actually have to thank you." Hiruzen thought while grinning maliciously.

Morning*

Naruto had never slept at night and was thinking about what to do next.

First of all, the probability of being attacked was high if he left the village. That's why he couldn't leave the village. He would do it secretly, but he never thought that he could leave the village secretly. He thought that dozens of root anbu would follow him when he walked out of the village door.

But there were things to do in the village as well. For example, he could enter places such as the Yondaime Hokage's house and the Uzumaki Clan Compound that only he could enter. He could probably find something of value there.

Naruto got out of bed and went to the kitchen and he saw Karin in the kitchen rummaging through the cabinets.

"Let's prepare breakfast together. You'll know what's where that way." Naruto said as he entered the kitchen.

Then Karin nodded, the both of them started to prepare and eat breakfast together.

"Anko is probably so busy won't be back for a few more days. The second stage deals with those who fail. Finding the bodies of those who died in the forest, keeping their reports, then sending them to the villages they belong to if they have bodies." Naruto said while eating.

"Any information about my condition?" Karin asked.

"You are the only survivor of your team. I don't know how they will report to your village about you. They will either give you a fake death or enter into a pact with your village because you are an Uzumaki. They'll probably show you died if my guesses are correct because that's good for them. Anyway, let's not talk about that now. We'll go somewhere with you when we're done eating."

"Where are we going?" Karin asked curiously.

"We'll go to Yondaime's house first, and then to the Uzumaki Compound."

"I understand the Uzumaki Compound, but why would we go to Yondaime's house? Will they let us in there?" Karin asked in surprise.

"Oh! Honestly, how did I forget it? I haven't told them yet that I know I'm Yondaime's son. Anyway, I can keep that as a trump card. I will be able to handle problems more easily by mentioning this information in the future." Naruto thought.

"I've changed my mind, we're not going there. We will go to the Uzumaki compound from here. In the meantime, we'll be staying there for a month, so don't forget to take your stuff with you." Naruto said.

"Ehh? Why are we going to stay there?"

"We are not very safe here. No one else will be able to enter there, so we can train more comfortably. Don't worry, I'll take you for a tour of the village every few days. But of course, don't forget to change yourself by doing Henge (Transformation) Jutsu. If someone from your village is still around, don't let it notice you."

"Also, have you decided what kind of ninja you will be from now on? You can continue as a medical-nin if you want. Of course, without using your body." Naruto asked.

"I don't think I can do anything but be a medical-nin. I haven't worked on anything else yet. So I don't know what to do." Karin said sadly.

"We'll do some research on you when we get to the clan house. Maybe we'll learn how your body works. That way, we can find a way to use your special situation without biting you."
