14 Subordinates? [14]
(A/N: Uploading this chapter early making it 3 chapters today because I'm impatient. I usually upload two a day but because of this might be only 1 chapter tomorrow!)
"Hello Toki-san!" I greet the tall brown haired Shimura.
"Hello Raiden-sama its been a while, last time I saw you was when I was still teaching you about money management." Toki says with a smile.
Hearing this I grin.
Toki is one of my few cousins who still lives in the compound, because of him being the son of a side member of the Shimura clan members he never really had a chance to become an heir to the clan anyways.
One of the few people I grew up with I have quite the good friendship with.
He's not a shinobi but is currently a merchant who goes around the fire country like to the land of tea to trade supplies.
You could say he's quite loaded money wise, pretty sure he will get married soon.
"Were you able to get the Chakra metal?" I ask with stars in my eyes.
I want to make chakra metal kunais with the engraving of a person's signature or name, it's more of the line of being a collection item that I want.
I mean I don't get much entertainment in the Naruto world so one of the hobbys I will get on top of cooking will be getting the signatures of famous shinobi for the fun of it.
The first few people I could get the signatures are Hiruzen, Danzo, Guy and Kakashi. In the future though I'll branch out and pay Kakuzu to sign one for me.
And maybe Tobi will sign one aswell haha.
A man can dream.
For this year I have been practising fuinjutsu and it has been going quite decently but not as fast as I want to. When I get to a higher level I will ask Kakashi to teach me the extremely nerfed version of the flying thunder god jutsu he has.
What does his nerfed version he inherited from Minato do?
Well it makes him able to teleport items to himself and be able to teleport to Minato's cloak.
I will use the nerfed flying thunder god jutus as teleportation for all my weapons like my kunai so when I throw one to secure a kill I can summon it back to my hand without wasting any movement.
This also makes it so I can indefinitely throw kunai unless I run out of chakra to retrieve them. Also with the weapons being chakra metal I can incorporate an element with them while using my swift release which is a pretty decent combo.
Imagine a chidori kunai with swift release.
"It should arrive in a few weeks Raiden-sama!" He says excitedly as I already told him of the plan of me getting the signatures of famous shinobi I meet.
Is chakra metal expensive?
Yes.
Do I care?
No.
I will flex my money that I totally earned and didn't recieve on my birthday.
Bitch.
After a few minutes of conversation with Toki I make my way towards the main building of the Shimura compound.
I currently live on the right side of the compound by myself while the rest of the clan are either on the left side or somewhere else in the village making absolute cash.
The main Shimura compound is located in the top middle of the compound as it has two bridges leading to the two sides of the compound.
Making my way through the different rooms while greeting some Clan members and maids, I enter the clan heads room.
"Hello Ojisan!" I say cheerfully.
Danzo looking at his paperwork, looks up and greets me.
"Hello Raiden, what do you need?" He says curiously as I don't visit him much as I see him quite frequently playing shogi.
"I have two questions." I tell him, Danzo hearing this nod.
"Do you have any type of lightning cloak that I could use in the future as I really wanted to stack it with my swift release."
A year ago Kakashi tested out my chakra affinities and found out that I had affinities for lightning and wind release which in turn made him believe I had a kekkei genkai. Generally people usually only had one affinity but others with kekkei genkai had more than one affinity.
In the few history lessons I had it was explained that certain blood lines that enhance a certain element like the uchiha wont give the Uchiha the elemental affinity but give the user a stronger potency with the release but not to the point of it being an affinity.
In the end Kakashi was able to find out that I had swift release as he has apparently seen me speed up at random times, which I have but not to the extent he thinks. I mean these are veteran shinobi who have been in war.
There isn't a physical way to hide this unless it's never been brought up or I just have no clue about it myself.
"Hmm... I'm not so sure myself but when you become a Genin i'll allow you access to the Shimura library." He says making me nod.
"I'm also curious if I could get some subordinates for myself." Danzo hearing this starts to get a glimmer in his eyes.
"Specify what you want Raiden. Age, potential and bloodline all factors that matter."
"I want some subordinates around the ages of 8-14 with decent talent that I can shape into what I want and if possible have a kekkei genkai like the Uzumaki I have heard about in my history lessons."
Lately after these few years I've been leeching off the mans iq and have thought a lot about this, I need some loyal subordinates that I can raise up with me.
I know this and so does Danzo, he's told me how fragile a person can be in combat no matter how strong they are unless they are a kage level shinobi that can destroy armies.
So getting some subordinates that cover my weaknesses that I cant cover till I'm stronger is a great idea.
"I'm currently not short of any talent right now but you know what you're asking right now isn't something I'm willing to give for free right?" he says while clearing his table of a stack of papers.
I've already come here prepared as I already knew he would ask something like this so I came here with a way to finesse this guy.
"When I hit the age of 18 will give you three favours that I will help you with if the kids with talent have a kekkei genkai or great potential." I tell him
Danzo hearing this nods while rubbing his chin.
Danzo himself has told me how far a favour can go and so offering three when I hit the age of 18 is huge for him.
The thought I had going into this conversation was to get me indebted to him with the twist of it only being possible to be redeemed when I hit the age of 18, which by then the events of the fourth great ninja war would already be over.
And you might be thinking why after the great shinobi war?
It's because Danzo dies at some point during the war ark of Naruto which nullifies the favours anyways, so I'm basically winning in this situation.
Theres no way an enraged Sasuke would leave Danzo alone.
The only downside is that Sasuke will probably come after me which is bad but by then I hope I will at least be a kage level shinobi by then as he will either use his brains and find out I've collaborated with Danzo or just want every Shimura dead.
"I have quite a few Uzumaki shinobi under me, but they are already getting old and losing their touch with none of them meeting your age requirements. I have a few location of some Uzumaki kids we could kidnap to make your subordinates but they are either too young or too old." He says while reading some files.
"How young are we talking about?" I question.
"Around 4-6 years old young."
"Can you tell me about the eldest one of the people you got located?" Danzo hearing this makes a few hand signs, a few seconds later a root agent appears with documents in his hands.
"Karin Uzumaki, a girl at the age of six and is suspected to have the same healing capabilities as her mother who can heal wounds if she lets a person bite her skin and let her chakra seep into their body."
Hearing this I keep a calm appearance but inside I start to cheer.
'What luck is this, her potential is honestly above kage level with her [Mind's eye of the Kagura] and [Chakra Chains] two kekkei genkai that were from the uzumaki clan and to add the cherry on top I believe she is a sensor!'
"I want her to be one of my subordinates but make sure to kill her mother, while shifting the blame to a Kusagakure ninja so she has no attachments." I quickly reply
Danzo hearing this smiles and puts a check mark on the paper with Karin's name on it.
"Is there any other kekkei genkai release users that you have on your radar that you could get for me?" I ask.
"There are a few but I think I found one that you would particularly like." Danzo says as he picks up a paper with a name on top.
"Asashi Sato an 8 year old orphan from a small village near the land of fire borders currently has the mud release kekkei genkai."
Quickly accepting the offer I tell Danzo that I will scout for other talents some other time and that I'm satisfied with my current selection.
