27 First Day of the Academy [27]

"This is so boring." I quitely grumbled while resting on Hinata's lap.

Hinata seeing me squirm around starts to giggle as she caresses my hair.

"We should explore the academy grounds more." Hinata says while looking around the place.

Hinata and I were currently near the back of the academy near the entrance was as we just exited the classroom.

After the first boring class of me just sitting there with Hinata in the back, Hinata and I went to the grounds to just take in the fresh air as it was our first break today for the academy. The first day was just our teacher who I cant bother to remember telling us our subjects and what we were gonna do for that year.

But with me already having enough knowledge to graduate I don't see a point in paying attention as I'm outta here in a years time.

Playfully squirming around I start to complain a little.

"But the lap pillow." I say to Hinata in a pitiful voice while hugging her.

"W-Well I can do it for y-you later" Hinata says blushing.

Grinning because of the fact I secured the future lap pillow, I started to get my ass up and started to explore the place with Hinata.

The academy is quite the spacious place unexpectedly for a place which divides three different groups.

There are three seperate areas of my personal knowledge which were told to me by Danzo. These areas include the civilian park, shinobi park/training grounds, and the secret Anbu trainee ground. The names are pretty self explanitory as they are trying to seperate the three groups from each other.

Originally the civilian and shinobi sides were shared but Danzo has told me that "apparantly" Hiruzen wanted to isolate the shinobi side of the area to make it so that the shinobi in training that would leave the academy wouldn't have any connections to get any other job.

This was maybe to force people to stay on the shinobi path to dissuade anyone from leaving the military and get influenced by an outside source who wants to live a normal life. This in all fairness might work as the kids who graduate wouldn't have specialities in any other field, and wouldn't get any interactions with any other kid limiting what other peoples opinions could effect others.

The shinobi park/training grounds was pretty easy to access as it's to go through the entrance then turn right and into a big field with multiple structures.

The most well known structure though was the obstacle test as it hosts several speed records coming from people like Minato Namikaze and Itachi Uchiha.

I plan on becoming the newest prodigy the Hidden Leaf has produced, and the best way I thought of for any initial fame is to graduate at the age of six and absolutely destroy any past records this academy has held by past years.

With me being a high Chunin in overall skill with that potentially being a low Jounin by the end of the year, I'm pretty sure I should be fine at breaking some records.

Back to Hinata and I though, were currently near the middle left of the field and started to spot a few of the structures that we had heard about from our teacher in class.

"Rei look, there are some targets over there." Hinata points out while we slowly take in our surroundings.

We may as well get used to the place we will stay in for about six years, or the others will as I will graduate early.

"Hinata theres quite a few playgrounds, lets try to find Karin and co." I tell Hinata as she nods.

'She's so cute when she nods.' I think to myself.

Hinata and I spent the next couple of minutes roaming the left section of the wide area. We chatted with a few people and just in general had a great time.

I didn't really want to talk to other kids because of me just not wanting to, but if someone comes up to me with genuine intentions then there's no point being a dick to them. Just converse like a normal person.

Never knew why in some fanfics some MCs would start to ignore others "go under the radar".

Just having your everyday chat someone would make it easier to blend in than fucking cucking yourself in the corner inviting the wrong type of attention.

We walked around for a few minutes but didn't spot Naruto and co, so Hinata and I after a while went to go find some shade.

Going near the edges of the open area we spot a great area with massive trees from the outside of the academy that still covers the place with some nice shade.

"Lets keep walking Rei, I want to find a place to sit."

Walking with Hinata through the edges of the field we find a huge tree isolated with no other trees in sight. The tree was massive and was probably the same size as the trees from the forest of death in the Chunin exams.

"That's huge." Hinata says out loud in awe.

'Phrasing my dear, but those are words you will be saying frequently in the future.' I think to myself nodding

"Sure is." I respond

Looking under the tree with a nice patch of grass I spot two kids just relaxing and chatting. One of the kids has black hair with a pony tail while the other has spiky brown hair with a little chubby build.

Realising who they are my face starts to get a grin.

"Hey Shikamaru, Choji!" I call out while waving as I'm still a fair distance away from the two clan heirs.

The two kids hearing my voice turned to look in my direction and started to wave back at me.

Hinata and I make our way over to them as I unseal a shogi set from my left glove.

"Hey guys, it has been a while since we've met but I still remember you guys from Hinata's party!"

"Hey Raiden, yeah it has been a while. Hows the academy life been treating you so far." Shikamaru responds.

"It has been a drag so far." I reply with a smile.

Choji and Hinata hearing this start to giggle a little bit making Shikamaru blush in embarrassment.

While the three of them start to converse more, I start to set up the shogi board with Shikamaru helping me right after I get the pieces out of the seal.

Shikamaru and I started to get into our shogi match as Choji and Hinata talked about what happened during their time in class.

"In the civilian shinobi class there was this one blonde kid in the race who kept on running for sooooooo long." Choji says in a cute and exuberant way flailing his arms around

Their conversation in the end by some bullshit switched topics with Hinata looking shyly at the ground as I finally beat Shikamaru in the shogi match.

"Damn, that was a close matc-" Shikamaru says before getting cut off mid sentence.

Shikamaru starting to listen in to what Hinata is saying starts to get a surprised look on his face with me laughing right after.

"Raiden and I got engaged." I hear Hinata say to Choji making his eyes widen.

"You guys got along well, but I didn't expect this." Choji says with an amazed face remembering how much I hogged Hinata's and Himawari's attention on her last birthday.

[A/N: Hand over the power stones and we wont have any problems >:) kohai. Typed the chapter up on the phone and expect me to do this for like a few weeks as I'm going to be on a two day drive to Perth. So expect some more chapters with scuffed but not mtl bad grammar and english!]
