Deep within one of Root's hidden bases.

In the dimly lit and intricate tunnels.

In the darkness, a tall figure gradually appeared—it was Sosuke, clad in a white shinobi robe, with Kyōka Suigetsu in his belt.

He stopped in front of a massive door.

Two Root ninjas guarded the door.

On each bookshelf were various scrolls neatly arranged and categorized: "Earth Release," "Water Release," "Fire Release," "Lightning Release," "Wind Release," "Taijutsu"... Different bookshelves held scrolls of various sizes and vibrant colors, creating a dazzling display.

As Sosuke walked by each one, he didn't spare them a glance.

He went straight to the deepest row of bookshelves.

Danzō continued, "I've always been compared to Hiruzen. In the past, I, who was always seeking strength, often won victories, but when it came to the position of Hokage, I was defeated by him..."

Saying this, Danzō's eyes narrowed slightly, seemingly recalling unpleasant memories, and his face darkened.

Inside the room, the candle flame flickered without wind, casting strange shadows of the two figures.

Suddenly, the candle flame calmed down.

Danzō hoarsely continued, "Forget it, let's not dwell on these matters."

With this thought, the smile on Sosuke's lips grew even more intense.
