Chapter 3: Isaac III

...........

"I don't want to be at the mercy of my emotions. I want to use them, to enjoy them, and to dominate them." ~ Oscar Wilde

How much would Isaac love to say that he dominates his emotions... He can't. Sometimes he believes himself to be the most flawed person in the world, yet he need only look around for a bit to realize that there are people with flaws as vast as the ocean.

That's especially so as he read through the history of the world, a history of stupidity and narrow-mindedness, so much so that it was driving him mad, and he was having thoughts he shouldn't have.

That's exactly why he can't control his emotions. He simply can't help but want to fix broken things and perfect them. It almost feels like a responsibility from which he feels unrivaled satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment like none other.

It's his obsession, his drive, but also his flaw, especially as he read through several documents speaking of the situation around the world, not just Konoha.

'Yes, this world is garbage,' Isaac took a deep breath as he closed the document, 'Konoha might as well be heaven in comparison to the majority of other places, including the country of fire in which Konoha lies.'

The conclusion as to why, according to Isaac, is feudalism, a horrible socio-economic system with issues such as social inequality.

Feudal societies are characterized by rigid social hierarchies, with power and wealth concentrated in the hands of a small elite, typically nobles or monarchs.

The first issue leads to the next, lack of mobility. If you are born a beggar, you'll stay a beggar, never having the opportunity to change your social class.

That leads to the worst problem as the rigid social structure and lack of economic mobility in feudal societies can lead to economic stagnation, as resources and opportunities are often allocated based on hereditary privilege rather than merit or innovation. This can hinder economic growth and technological advancement over time.

The famous ninja wars are also a symptom of the lords and vassals competing for territory, resources, and power.

'But why?' Isaac was utterly confused, 'I can understand why the dumbass first Hokage didn't realize this as his intelligence attribute must've been entirely distributed to ninjutsu, but what about the second Hokage, Senju Tobirama? Maybe he's the same?'

Isaac couldn't help but rub his temple, having a headache on top of his eyes stinging all the time, 'Even technology is concentrated only among the select few. Some live in modern times while others live in the Stone Ages... Aghh, I want to dig my eyes out.'

However, happiness came suddenly as one of the clones approached him, "It's done," Just those simple words brought endless joy to Isaac. The clone dissipated and Isaac gladly accepted its memories, the fruit of labor.

It took him quite a while to completely accept the memories, the memories of the transformation jutsu, a more perfect version of it.

Right after getting the transformation technique, Isaac saw the potential in it, thus he studied it thoroughly, and combined with his never-ending training of chakra control, he was able to transform himself into various birds and other creatures, even tiny ones.

However, the technique is flawed for in front of sensory ninjas, and especially ninjas with special abilities such as the Uchiha or the Hyuga, the transformation would be useless since they would be able to detect your chakra signature or chakra pathway among other things.

All of these differentiate greatly from other creatures, so Isaac improved the technique so it could mimic the specific creature's physiology perfectly.

Of course, the technique requires one to have extensive knowledge about the creatures they want to transform into, but that's to be expected, 'Finally.' Isaac let out a breath of satisfaction.

Isaac can finally spread his wings to the lands far away. That day, about half of the clones in his house disappeared.

"OH! Youth! 1... 2... 3... Youth! Faster! Don't let your youth run out!!" By dawn, the usual yelling reverberated throughout, although a bit louder than usual. Today was after all a special day.

"Give me a minute please," Today is a special day because a youthful kid joined Might Duy and Guy in their youthful activities... However, the kid is a bit special as Duy noticed.

Isaac stopped simply to fix his hair and clothes, something he does often. He feels uncomfortable otherwise.

The two were used to his strange behavior by now, so they continued right away, "Go go go! Youth never stop!!"

The training was arduous, certainly not something Isaac ever faced, although the difficulty was more so not looking too bad while panting and sweating heavily.

Perfectionism is a disease that ruined his past life, leaving him doubtful all the time, not daring to do anything for fear he would do it imperfectly.

That had to change in this life as while he still detests imperfections, he also realizes that perfection is impossible. He could only console himself with the pursuit of perfection to the best of his ability.

So he worked harder, harder than Might Guy, although he was still far away from the monstrosity that's Might Duy.

Physical exercise isn't something that can be left to his clones. He had to do it personally, and he did it wholeheartedly.

He learned all he could from Duy, the knowledge he needed so as to not permanently damage his undeveloped body.

That was especially beneficial since he started putting on weights based on Duy's recommendation, pairs of ankle and wrist weights.

They weren't very heavy, just 2.5kg each, amounting to 10kgs in total which is half of his current weight, so you can imagine the difficulty.

And so, the somewhat hilarious scene of Isaac sparring with Guy appeared as they struggled to even move about, their every action occurring in slow motion.

"You're doing it again!! The enemy won't wait for you to complete your flashy moves!!" Might Duy's strict yelling resounded in their ears, "The goal is to hit the target, not dance around!"

Duy instructed, throwing them an appreciative glance. Honestly, even he didn't expect how much Guy needed a sparring partner, a rival he could grow with.

'However, little Isaac seems a little too talented, hope he doesn't leave Guy behind,' Duy couldn't help but note, barely able to guide Isaac as the latter seemed to notice his own flaws at all times and correct accordingly.

Rather. Duy had to guide his son to give Isaac a challenge, thus leading them to improve together.

The training session soon ended as school time was near, so Isaac bid them farewell before running home, quickly taking a shower, putting on clean clothes then heading to school.

Isaac was the first to arrive, like always, and his destination was always the school library as it includes some books exclusive to the school, mostly books written by the second Hokage.

'Principle Of Nature Transformation,' Isaac opened the book containing mostly theories and explanations instead of anything practical. He already has a bunch of techniques at home, he needs to understand the truth of this mysterious power system to use it to its fullest.

The school is quite lax as the classroom was opened very early, giving him a place to read comfortably while waiting for the teacher to arrive.

"Studying strange books again?" Rin was also one of the early arrivers as she took a seat by his side.

"Is it strange?" Isaac wondered, truly curious.

"Strange, very strange," Rin nodded repeatedly, "Everyone else hates books that aren't ninjutsu, even Kakashi."

"Oh," Isaac nodded as he stroked his chin, "I guess you get different priorities when you realize that life is a luxury for most people."

"Ah...." Rin was speechless. She really just wanted to start a conversation, not open old wounds, so she was suddenly left embarrassed.

"Look at me," Hearing his voice forced her to look his way, left even more embarrassed when his hand approached her and fixed her hair, making sure it was perfect before nodding in satisfaction.

Those few strands of hair sticking out were bugging his mind, so he had to wash the anxiousness away, "You should study hard too, and if you need anything, tell me. I don't want you to die too."

And then he simply turned his attention back to the book, leaving the girl steaming with embarrassment, her face buried in her chest.

'Children are easy to manipulate, I need to start focusing on guiding them toward a more perfect direction. Maybe they can turn into helpers of my future empire,' Isaac mused in his mind.

Isaac then self-reflected on himself, 'I am kind of a scum, aren't I? Who am I to expect perfection from others when I am so imperfect?'

'Who says being a scum is imperfect?' Isaac closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before opening them again, 'Sometimes I really hate myself.'

Seemingly to show how much he means it, his inky eyes rotated by themselves, turning blood red, two tomoe slowly forming before he closed his eyes, hiding those radiant yet dangerous eyes... Such is Isaac.
