I decided to make mokuton be a Kekkei Tōta. it's my fic, so I'm going to make some changes that I think are correct and mokuton is one of them. see, Moegi and Yamato can use mokuton. But Yamato is an experiment, where hashirama's cells were used. He already had the water and earth style, but he couldn't do mokuton, he needed the hashirama cells for that. and Moegi is another example, she has the kekkei genkai mokuton, where she uses water and earth to do justsu mokuton. But you have seen that she is weaker than Yamato. So I thought, Yamato said that he uses the element of water and earth, but he may not know, that Hashirama's cells passively provide the Yang attribute in limited amounts. When Yamato was possessed by Tobi, he could almost reach the same level as hashirama, and Tobi is a being of pure yang. and moegi doesn't possess any of them, at least that's what we know, she might be a lost disentite of the senju clan. and the reason she is not that strong, is that her yang chakra is very scarce and makes it impossible for her to use mokuton in the same way as Yamato.
