1 To New Beginings

As a droplet hit my face, my eyes opened as fast as it could, the water being the stimulant in waking me up. I guess I did reincarnate.

I surveyed my surroundings, and found myself in a very peculiar situation.

In the pouring rain, I find myself as a helpless babe, tucked snugly within a basket, shielded by nature's tears.I was on a doorstep of a large building, most likely an orphanage. Before this, I was an irresponsible college boy whose only thing he would do was watch anime.

I was in a sense of calm, because the last memory I had, was me talking to an absolute symbol of power, a God per say.

After getting hit by a truck, I was transported to an unknown place where I was greeted by an omnipotent being. I remembered the literal life changing discussion I had with the God.

Talking to the God, the being told me that when everyone died, they would be reincarnated into a random verse, with a lot of random variables. To be more specific, the verse, the locations, the era, and a random trait to help the soul.

Starting off with a verse, the God made a wheel with tons of options, so much that the many slices on the circle were so small, I couldn't read it.

With the God snapping its finger, the wheel started spinning so fast, making me feel wind on my face. After a few minutes, the spin finally slowed down to a halt.

"And the winner of the spin, is the Naruto Verse", I remembered hearing the god said. It personally wasn't one of my favorites to win the wheel. It's all good though, because I know a lot of Naruto.

It low key depended on what era. If it was after the 4th Great Ninja War, where the world was closest to peace, I could live with it. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on my side.

Another wheel, with what I assumed was different years I could be reborn. The wheel was spun, and the god revealed to me when I would be born.

"You will be reborn in the same year as many famous people from Naruto. You will be born the same year as Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki", I recall him saying.

This was kind of in the middle. It wasn't bad, nor was it good. Sure, I would have to go through 2 wars by the age of 20, but that was just the nature of the world.

The next thing I had to know was where I will be reborn. If I'm being reborn the same year Minato was, there's really no place to be safe.

After another wheel spin, it was determined I was going to be reborn in Kusagakure, the Village Hidden In The Grass. It was in some unnamed country in Naruto, but the God informed me it was in the Land Of The Forest.

At least that will buy me peace through the Second Great Ninja War, as the battles were across Amegakure, Village Hidden By The Rain. But unfortunately, by the time I'm 20, my new homeland will be a battlefront for the 3rd Great Ninja War.

I'll just have to get strong enough to fend for myself until then. And speaking of getting strong, if my trait is good enough, it's going to get me there. And boy, was it more than good enough.

"Let's see what your future god given trait will be", is what the God said, pulling out another enormous wheel. I was getting tired of those wheels.

For me, the trait was probably the least important, but it's probably my most favorite. Everyone has a power fantasy of some sorts, and you only don't have them, until you're powerful yourself.

I paid more attention to the traits wheel more than all the other ones. And boy, did it take a long time. But after a few unusually slow minutes, it finally stopped.

I landed on probally one of the better ones. " Senju's Talent", meaning I would inherit the best Senju, which was obviously Hashirama, and gain his talents and affinity.

I would inherit the 5 nature transformation, that being Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Lightning. I would gain both Yin and Yang Release. I would also gain his most famous attribute, his' Wood Release.

Those things, compared with the potential Nine Tails amount of chakra reserves, my ceiling was high as hell. I would certainly be a powerhouse in the Naruto world.

I was snapped back to reality as the door opened, and an old woman stepped out. She frowned when she saw the only thing there was, was me.

" Oh, another baby! This one is the 2nd this month!", She exclaimed, kinda sad there was a baby not accounted for. She then picked my basket up before going inside.

Once going in, my suspicions were then validated. This was an orphanage. There were kids all around, some playing, and some keeping to themselves. The kids saw the basket and began to murmur.

"There's another kid".

" Hope he's not a buzzkill like some of you guys"

" Hope he's not an energetic asshole like you"!

I laughed at that, making the older woman carrying me smile. I guess she's not one of the bad types of orphanage workers. It always ruined my mood when I saw news of one.

I guess this was my new life now. Unlike my old life, I'll do anything I can now in advancing my position in this cutthroat world.
