Next Day

POV Atsuchi

I arrived at the academy early in the morning, just in time for the scheduled theoretical exams. Quickly, I located my friends and classmates, all wearing serious expressions on their faces, indicating the importance of this moment in our lives.

I approached my group of friends calmly and greeted them. "Good morning, Rin, Kurenai..." I addressed Rin and Kurenai, nodding briefly to the other boys.

"Good morning, Atsuchi-kun," the two girls responded in unison, returning to the main topic of the day, the Genin graduation test.

"You can bet on it. After all, I'm going to become the Hokage!" Obito said with a smile, trying to impress everyone.

"Idiot," Kakashi retorted, making provocative gestures towards Obito, which visibly irritated him. Soon, a brief argument ensued between the two.

I watched the exchange of banter between Obito and Kakashi with amusement. With the prelude to the war starting at the borders of the Land of Fire, these comedic and lighthearted moments would become rare occurrences.

"You two, cut it out," Rin intervened, giving a serious look to Kakashi and Obito. "We need to focus on the exam now." Rin reprimanded their behavior.

Not long after, Guy joined our group. Normally, Guy would act as usual, but due to his nervousness and concern, he was unusually quiet.

"Don't worry, Guy. There's no way you won't pass," I reassured him, trying to convey confidence. Guy gave a still nervous smile, thanking me for the support.

"Thanks for the support, Atsuchi," Guy said somewhat reserved, making a thumbs-up gesture, a bit more reserved.

Seeing the other students walking towards the classroom where our theoretical exams would take place, we began to walk, following the herd effect.

As we walked towards the examination room, my mind was filled with chaotic thoughts. Seeing all these children walking towards the exam room made me question if they really knew what they were getting into.

No one here could understand the implications of waging a war. Brutality, hatred, and death were very common side effects. I had seen the suffering caused by these conflicts, witnessed lives being taken and families being destroyed.

As we advanced through the corridor, I noticed that some students seemed excited, talking about their future ninja missions. They had no idea of the weight that carried. The shinobi world was not just a game; it was a serious and dangerous responsibility.

As we entered the examination room, I sat at my desk and observed my classmates around me attentively. Some were confident, while others showed evident nervousness on their faces. I knew that the theoretical test was only the beginning of a challenging journey to become true ninjas.

With the pen in hand, I took a deep breath and focused on the questions in front of me. Each question required careful reasoning and a solid understanding of the topics we had studied. As I read and answered the questions at a steady pace, my mind began to question the apparent ease of the exam.

"It seems like the questions are easier than expected," I thought to myself. "Are they lowering the difficulty level to increase the number of passers? It seems like an insensitive approach considering the context of the imminent war."

I reflected on the implications of this. Konoha's goal was to train as many ninjas as possible to fight in the war, regardless of their age or abilities. This approach seemed cruel and inhumane to me, putting the lives of young and innocent children at risk.

As I finished the theoretical exam quickly, I handed my paper to the responsible Chunin teacher and left the examination room. Now it was time to face the practical part of the test. I headed to a room entirely made of wood, where a Chunin examiner patiently awaited. His expression showed surprise when he saw me arrive so early.

"It's a little early for someone to finish the theoretical exam. You must be one of those smart kids," the examiner commented, smiling friendly and indicating for me to stand in the center of the room.

I remained calm and stoic, waiting for his instructions. The examiner explained the stages of the practical exam, emphasizing the demonstration of Taijutsu skills as the first stage.

"You can demonstrate some Academy Ninja Style Kata or show your own Taijutsu for evaluation," he suggested.

Performing a sequence of choreographed movements, I demonstrated my martial art, combining punches, kicks, and feints with fluid acrobatics. The Chunin examiner watched attentively and praised my performance.

"Congratulations, you have some impressive moves," he stated, jotting something down on his clipboard.

Let's continue the exam then. For the second stage of the practical exams, you need to demonstrate your proficiency in executing the three basic ninjutsu techniques from the ninja academy. I'm sure your Chunin instructor must have already instructed you on this before." The examiner explained as I nodded in agreement.

Without further ado, let's start with the most basic technique: Transformation." He ordered, and I quickly performed the hand seals for Dog → Boar → Ram.

"Transformation!" I announced my jutsu, and in a brief puff of smoke, I reappeared taking on the appearance of the Chunin examiner in front of me.

"You transformed into me. Good." He announced and made a note on his clipboard.

"Now, perform the substitution technique when I throw a kunai at you." The examiner said, taking a kunai from his ninja pouch. Looking around, I located some tree trunks in the corner of the room and quickly gestured to indicate that I was ready to execute the technique.

Watching the Chunin instructor throw the kunai in my direction with a simple motion, I quickly performed the hand seal sequence with agility: Sheep → Boar → Ox → Dog → Snake. Just as the kunai was about to touch my "body" - or rather, my residual image - I left a log in my original position, which I had grabbed while running at high speed for a brief moment.

"Good execution of the technique," the Chunin instructor repeated, making another note on his clipboard.

"Now, for the last technique of this practical exam, I want you to use the cloning technique." He said, and with a simple motion, I performed the alternative Tiger hand seal.

"Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!" I announced my jutsu, causing three corporeal clones to appear around me in a cloud of smoke.

Receiving a sharp gaze from the Chunin instructor, I remained silent, awaiting his pronouncement.

"Incredible! So, the rumors were true? I don't understand why you didn't graduate earlier if you already mastered a forbidden jutsu from the Scroll of Seals." He said, impressed, and went back to jotting something down on his clipboard.

"I appreciate the compliment, senpai." I thanked the examiner, who quickly called me to pick up one of the headbands lined up on the table, waiting to be given to the respective genin.

As I approached the table, the examiner quickly picked up one of the headbands and handed it to me. "Congratulations, you have just become a full-fledged Genin. Tomorrow, you will be introduced to your Jonin instructor and your three-person team." The examiner said, congratulating me.

Seeing his clipboard on the table, curiosity got the better of me, and I took a peek at what he had been jotting down. However, as I observed the content of the clipboard, a disgusted expression took over my face as I noticed that the Jonin instructor hadn't made a single description of my practical exams. Instead, all this time, this idiot was drawing explicit sexual scenes in various positions.

Noticing my expression change from joy to disgust, the Chunin instructor asked, "Is something wrong?"

Noting his lack of shame, I replied, grabbing my headband and preparing to leave, turning my back, "Pervert." I spoke with disdain.

As I walked out, I quickly came across Kakashi, who was waiting for his practical exams to begin. With a scowl on my face, I warned him, "Don't look at your clipboard, you might regret it."

"What's gotten into you?" Kakashi asked, not understanding, and simply went to take his practical exams.

As our group had previously agreed, we would go out to celebrate at a restaurant after our graduation. With nothing else to do, I waited for Kakashi to finish his exams.

Not long after, Kakashi, once stoic, finally emerged from the practical exam room with a disgruntled look.

"I told you not to look," I scolded Kakashi for not trusting my words.

"Idiot, it's your fault," he said, irritated.

"So, what did he draw?" I asked curiously, as the examiner had a surprising talent for drawing sexual content. As perverted as he was, in my past life, he would have been a great hentai content producer.

"He had drawn a woman..." Kakashi was saying but was interrupted by the arrival of our classmates.

"What were you guys talking about?" Rin asked, smiling.

"Nothing, really. Were you saying something, Kakashi?" I quickly deflected the question.

"No, must have been your imagination... Where's Obito? Hasn't he finished the written exam yet?" Kakashi shifted the attention.

"Obito is having some difficulties with the exam... For some reason," Kurenai said.

"Sometimes, I'm amazed by Obito's intelligence. How did he manage to spread terror throughout the shinobi world with that level of IQ?" I silently reflected.

And so the day continued, with all of us easily becoming genin, except for Obito, who lost even to Guy in both the practical and written exams.
