Chapter 108: Sasuke, the Pufferfish of Rage (Part 2)

"Ahem, um, Sasuke, don't cry. Your dad and the rest of the Uchiha clan aren't really dead. It was all a fake!" Sakura said awkwardly. Sasuke was clearly heartbroken, and she needed to give him some good news to cheer him up.

"A fake? What do you mean?" Sasuke's tears stopped instantly, replaced with confusion and a glimmer of hope. If his parents were still alive, then that meant his older brother wasn't a traitor, right?

"Well, it's all because of a guy named Danzo. He's a real bad guy. We were all forced to make it look like your family died, to escape from him," Sakura explained. She had no problem blaming Danzo for everything, as he deserved it.

"What happened these past few years?" Minato furrowed his brow. He knew Danzo was always up to no good, even if he claimed to be doing things for the good of Konoha. He was too secretive, too selfish, and too dark for Minato's liking.

"It's a long story. Ever since Uncle Minato died sealing the Nine-Tailed Fox, Danzo and his gang of thieves suspected the Uchiha clan of being involved. To prevent Danzo's scheme from succeeding, we came up with a plan to fake the Uchiha clan's deaths," Sakura summarized the events of the past few years, blaming Danzo once again.

"Also, during the Nine-Tailed Fox incident, Danzo was the one who kept the Uchiha away from the battlefield. If Fugaku had used his Mangekyo Sharingan, you wouldn't have died, and Naruto wouldn't have become an orphan," Sakura added.

"That Danzo bastard! I'll kill him!" Kushina's eyes were full of anger as she thought about Naruto's difficult life. If Minato hadn't died, Naruto wouldn't have been treated so badly.

"Wait, my dad died sealing the Nine-Tailed Fox?" Naruto scratched his head, confused. "But the books say that the Fourth Hokage did it. Did he steal my dad's credit?!"

"Naruto, didn't you read what was written on the back of Minato's cloak?" Sakura was bewildered. How could Naruto not know what was written on his father's cloak?

"Um, Naruto, I'm the Fourth Hokage," Minato said awkwardly, turning around to reveal the words "Fourth Hokage" on the back of his cloak.

"Huh? My dad was the Fourth Hokage? The legendary hero?" Naruto was stunned, but then he started jumping around excitedly in his mind space.

"He was also known as the Yellow Flash, the fastest man in the ninja world!" Sakura gave Naruto a crash course in Minato's impressive career, but when it came to being the fastest, Minato felt a bit uncomfortable. It wasn't exactly a manly title.

However, just as Sakura had finished telling Naruto about his father, she felt a wave of angry and mournful energy directed at her back.

"Sasuke? What's with that look?" Sakura turned around to see Sasuke's eyes full of anger and sadness.

"You lied to me again..." Sasuke's aura of grief was tangible, and he looked at Sakura with a mixture of fury and heartbreak. "You're a demon. I'll never forgive you for this."

Thinking about how he had wasted so many years on his own sadness, remembering how he was tricked into crossdressing as a girl, and then later into helping Uchiha Itachi pursue his girlfriend, Sasuke's heart shattered.

Anger! So angry! Extremely angry! Angry enough to grow spines! Angry enough to swell up! Angry enough to turn into a pufferfish! Sasuke turned his back to Sakura, gritting his teeth as he took out his kunai and started poking the ground. He was too naive after all, and had been deceived once again.

"Uh, your brother was involved in this too, he tricked you as well. Why are you only blaming me?" Sakura pointed to Uchiha Itachi next to her. It wasn't a scheme she had woven on her own, how could she take all the blame herself?

"Forgive me, Sasuke. There won't be a next time!"

Uchiha Itachi smiled and gave Sasuke a forehead poke, instantly dissipating all the resentment in his body.

"I can't believe how obvious your favoritism is, Itachi-kun!"

Sakura felt a headache coming on, knowing that Kiba had a brother complex, but he didn't have to be so obvious about it.

"Hmph, don't expect me to forgive you!"

Sasuke, who was known as the tsundere assistant, turned his head and continued to sulk. He would never believe Sakura's lies again.

"Itachi-kun's relationship with his little brother is really good!"

Jūzō Biwa, who didn't seem like a good person, quietly walked to the side to observe the interactions between the brothers.

"I didn't expect so many things to happen in Konoha..."

On the other side, Minato Namikaze sat there chatting with Fugaku Uchiha, listening to the changes in Konoha over the years and feeling deeply moved.

Meanwhile, the Nine-Tailed Fox's mood was terrible. All these Uchiha clan members, each emitting a cold aura of Mangekyo Sharingan, and that annoying golden-haired guy actually recognized his son. And the most crucial thing was...

What made it angrier was, why was it, a fox, locked up, while the Two-Tails, Three-Tails, and Eight-Tails could roam free? It was unfair!

"Kurama, as someone who has been through it all, let me advise you not to provoke that little girl lightly, otherwise you will die a miserable death!"

Gyuki, the Eight-Tails, spoke in a very profound tone, remembering how he had foolishly challenged Sakura out of curiosity when he first arrived, only to be pressed to the ground and rubbed against. Gyuki felt hopeless.

"Hmph, you coward, you were scared by a human girl like this, truly a disgrace to the Tailed Beasts..."

The Nine-Tailed Fox snorted. She was just a little girl, what kind of trouble could she cause?
