50 Chapter 48

As we were walking to the gate, with me trying to talk it out with Yugito, I saw something flying towards me from behind.

As for how I knew that, I was using the Byakugan. I usually keep it on every time, as the chakra I had was more than enough to keep it in for the whole day and still fight without any problem.

Usually when anyone uses the Byakugan, veins pop out around the eyes, but it wasn't the same for me.

Since all my muscles were enhanced by the serum, the veins don't appear even when blood moves to my eyes with high pressure.

Now, I turned back and caught the thing that flew towards me. It was an arrow with a letter tied to it.

Yugito looked at me and asked "Who sent it?"

I opened the letter tied to it and read it without letting Yugito read it. The message on it read "Report back to the base in a month.

Final mission in Kumogakure: Kill G"

I burnt the letter immediately and replied to Yugito "It's just my bodyguard who sent me a message from my mother."

Yugito smiled and said "It's normal for a mother to worry about her child." while turning gloomy again.

We arrived at the gate, where Samui and Atsui were already waiting for us. Atsui said "Hurry up, we are going on a mission to find a rogue ninja. He won't stay in a place for long. So, Let's Go!!!!" in his usual cheerful tone.

Samui said to me "Hakuto, we are going to kill G, as the situation has elevated a lot from the time you fought him.

He is now a problem to not only our country, but every country. We are going to hunt him today. If you try to stop us, I will view this as betraying the village and we will have to deal with you too." in her usual cold tone.

I just nodded and didn't say anything. Although he was as close to me as my brother, he is too reckless.

The last time I met him, I tried knocking some sense into him on how to finish work properly and not leave any proof, but that idiot was careless and let a man escape.

Darui was the last person. "Sorry for making you wait." he apologized like he usually does and we left towards the Land of Rain.

I still tried convincing Yugito to go out with me. I said to her "Yugito, that was just something sensible in that situation. I don't think it will happen again."

She replied "Ok, even if I ignore that one incident, what are you going to say about your reputation in the Red light area of Arashi."

"That's... that's the trend every Noble follows. If a noble man is famous among women for his skill on bed, it gives the noble a great sense of pride when amongst other noble men." I replied.

Darui, Atsui and Samui sped up as they didn't want to hear our conversation. I wouldn't be trying to convince a woman this much before. It made me feel pathetic.

But I could tell by her face that u wasn't annoying her with my requests, more like she was enjoying it. And I also didn't mind it for some reason.

In my previous life, I grew up in a family where my mother died when I was 2 years old and my father's life turned upside down from there.

With the conflicting thoughts, I kept going, jumping from one tree to another. We had to travel on foot and it would take around 3 days till we get to the border of the Land of Rain.

So, I had time to think of my future actions. Noticing my conflicted look, Yugito said "Calm down Hakuto. Just do what you feel is correct and don't end up feeling guilty about it."

I nodded with a smile and moved faster to catch up to the rest. Samui, for some reason, was in the middle and Darui immediately stationed himself behind me.

Samui said "I decided on our formation when you were having your lovers quarrel.

Since you are the only support class we have, you will be in the center, protected from four sides by us." and when she finished, Samui moved beside me and Yugito was asked to move beside me.

So, with me as the center, I had Darui behind me, Yugito to my right, Samui to my left and Atsui in front of me.

That was a useless formation only used to escort someone. I was stronger than Samui and Atsui, so it made no sense when she said they would also help protect me.

I looked at Yugito, who also understood what was happening. They were trying to keep an eye on me, observing every move I made and deal with me immediately with the help of Darui behind me.

I could already tell this mission isn't just to kill G. Seriously, these ninjas don't know the meaning of secret mission.

If they were going to do something to me, acting suspiciously like this would only alert me more and allow me to plan properly.

I had a suspicion that it could be an assassination mission like the one before where I had to retrieve the scroll from a spy with Yugito and two other ninjas.

I looked at Yugito and after using Mind Touch: Mind Sweep, I found out that she also doesn't know anything.

As for the thoughts of the other three, Darui was thinking "Sorry about this. We have to do this.", Atsui was thinking " I am going to be famous after this mission Yeahhh!!!!" and Samui was thinking "Everything is going according to plan till now."

Someone could argue that they were just keeping an eye on me so that I don't end up saving G during the mission and it made sense, and even their thoughts aren't helpful to come to an conclusion.

I could see through their memories and check what their actual intentions are, but I was somehow excited about the situation. I wanted to become stronger and even though I had powered up significantly, without experience it is useless.

So, I actually wanted to fight these three, I didn't include Yugito in the list as I didn't want to fight her.
