Naruto: Resilience

She died and was reborn as Rin Nohara, a character destined to die. She would change her fate and she would change the fate of all the others. Maybe Kakashi wouldn't be depressed. Maybe Obito wouldn't go down the darkside and maybe Naruto could keep his dad. On the other hand... she could live a normal life, be a normal shinobi, get married, have kids, then die a normal death of natural cause. But if she's a jinchuurkiki... how's she going to do that? *sigh...* life is so hard... I don't own naruto or any of the characters sry for grammar and spelling errors Some events might be a bit off for the sake of the story

Chapter 10

I woke up on my own today. Not the sound of Kaa-chan yelling, or to the sound of Tou-san leaving the house. No, today I woke up in excitement. TODAY WAS THE DAY OF MINATO-SENSEI'S INAGURATION CEREMONY!!!!!!!!!

I jumped out and put on my outfit. I ran down the stairs into the kitchen. Kaa-chan was already awake, making breakfast. "Morning!" I cheered.

She grinned, "Ready for your sensei's inauguration?" she asked

I nodded. "Well," she said, "Breakfast first."

I grabbed a piece of bread and stuffed it in my mouth, then I grabbed an extra. "Seeing someone?" she asked.

"I'm going to find Kakashi," I replied.

"Oh," she handed me an extra piece of bread, "Give him some more, honestly, that boy is wat to skinny."

I laughed, he would probably run away from me. "Okay Kaa-chan, I'll make sure he eats."

The sun was bright that day and even in the morning, the streets were lively. "Guy!" I called, seeing the familiar green spandex. "Have you seen Kakashi?"

"Yosh! Rin-san!" he shouted, "How YOUTHFUL of you to eat FIVE pieces of BREAD for BREAKFAST!"

"Actually…" I said, "These are for Kakashi."

"OH! How YOUTHFUL of him!" he shouted, "It seems my ETERNAL RIVAL is eating more breakfast than me. Yosh!" he called to a nearby stall, "Boss, give me ten pieces of breakfast bread. Yosh! I must beat him!"

I waited not so patiently for Guy to get his breakfast. "Do you know where I can find Kakashi?"

Guy looked at me surprised, "He's probably at home, Yosh! Let us go find him together. ONWARD! Towards our journey of YOUTHFULNESS!"

I sighed and followed him.

Kakashi opened the door, his hair messy and his one eye glaring at us. I ruffled his hair and he smacked my hand away. "Got you breakfast!" I handed him the five pieces of bread.

He glared at me, "I'm not eating this."

"Kaa-chan insists," I said, "If you don't, she said she would personally get Kushina-nee to come with her and hunt you down until you eat all of it."

"Yes!" declared Guy, "How YOUTHFUL of them! As expected of Rin's YOUTHFUL mother!"

"Guy," said Kakashi.

"Yes?"

"Could you please quiet down? Some people are still sleeping…" said Kakashi.

"YOSH!" screamed Guy, Kakashi and I covered our ears, "How YOUTHFUL of you to care about your neighbors."

Kakashi sighed and I noticed the bread was gone. "You… ate it?" I asked, "All of it? That quickly?"

"Yes."

…

It was crowded and I had to tiptoe to see. Minato-sensei stood at the top of Hokage tower, smiling and waving. His golden hair looked like the sun. Everyone smiled, and I did too as Minato talked about peace. He talked about peace with the other villages and peace with Konoha. He talked about political stability between Konoha and the clans. I had to save him. I had to save him, and Kushina-nee too. Naruto deserved a dad, a dad who was happy, powerful, and protective. And the villae, well, maybe the village deserved a hokage who could truly bring peace. If Minato lived, so many things could be prevented. I sighed.

I spotted a flash of white hair. 'Jiraya?' what was he doing in the crowds? Shouldn't he be with Minato. Then I saw it… well… I saw them. I group of women. I sighed and turned back to Minato-sensei. He left Hokage Tower. I grinned and hopped to the top of the buildings and ran toward the tower.

"Minato-sensei!" I called.

The turned and smiled. Kushina was there too, and so was Lord Third. "Hey Rin," smiled Minato-sensei.

"Yondaime-sama," I bowed.

He cringed, "I'm still your sensei."

"Soft." muttered Danzo, thinking he was too quiet for anyone else to hear.

Kushina shot him an annoyed look and he left. "I'm so glad I could see your ceremony before I left!" I said.

"Left?" asked Minato sensei, puzzled, "You're going somewhere."

'Oops, I forgot to tell him.'

"You forgot to tell him~" laughed isobu.

"Right…" I said, "I… " I took a deep breath, "I foundasummoningcontractwithShikkotsuForestandLadyKatsuacceptedmeasherapprentice… so… sheisgoingtoteacheslugsagemodeandthestrengthofhundredsseal. I don't reallyknowhowlongit'sgoingtolast. I thought I told you… "

He laughed and Kushina stared at me in shock. "You're going to learn sage mode? Oh! That's awesome."

"Whats this I hear about sage mode?" asked an obviously drunken voice, "Don't tell me, flat-chest Tsunade got an apprentice?"

"Hey Jiraya-sensei," said Minato.

"Actually," I said, "Lady Katsu got an apprentice. Tsunada-sama is probably off somewhere getting drunk and going into debt while you are here in Konoha getting drunk and going into bars to meet women half your age."

"JIRAYA!" screamed Kushina and she punched him in the face.

Minato snorted. Very unHokage of him.

…

"RIN!!!!!" shouted a voice outside the house.

I ran outside and saw of group of people. There was Genma, Izumo, Kotetsu, Kurenai, Guy, Asuma, Iruka, and Hayate. "Hi," I waved, opening the front door, "What are you doing here?"

Kurenai linked her arm with mine and dragged me out, "We're going out to get dango! I don't want to be the only girl! You're coming with us!"

I laughed and followed them outside. We went into one of the shops. "Boss," called Asuma, "Nine dango please."

"Coming right up!"

We sat down and started chatting… about politics… of course. "I'm glad," said Genma, "Minato-san's Hokage now."

Kotetsu nodded, "Definitely."

"You must be excited!" exclaimed Kurenai, "Rin, you're sensei's hokage!"

I shrugged, "Yeah… but he'll be more busy."

"True," said Asuma, shuddering, "That Hokage work is no joke, my dad had so much paperwork. Ew!"

"Lazy," laughed Izumo and we all laughed.
