33 Training (2)

Zeus halted his movement entirely, ignoring every ensuing word that came out of Fukasaku's mouth. He put his hands together, controlling his breathing and stabilizing his chakra flow. He forgot every worry in his mind, instead becoming one with the environment around him.

He heard the chirps of birds in the sky, yet they brought no distraction to him. Instead, Zeus stayed unmoving, as even his lungs halted in the body. However, instead of trying to perceive something unnatural in the surroundings, Zeus latched onto his divinity.

He was the God of the Sky and Weather - he was born out of nature, thus he was destined to become one with it. No, he was nature itself. There was no way it would dare scatter away from him. Furrowing his brows, Zeus completely relaxed.

He merged with the wind, with the sun, with the grass slightly brushing past his bare feet. And, finally, Zeus felt it. An abundance of extraordinary energy, which felt similar to the energy back in Heaven. It was pure and heavy, just like how Zeus liked it.

'Come at me!' Zeus roared internally, causing all the nearby natural energy to promptly move towards him. Without even realizing it, Zeus accepted all that amount of energy into his system, as it traveled down to his stomach, colliding with both his spiritual and physical energies.

'This is bad.' Zeus cursed under his breath, finally opening his eyes. Violent energy was abundant within him, and everything was going awry within his body. Ignoring the passed-out from shock Fukasaku before him, Zeus channeled divinity toward his belly, trying to diminish the amount of natural energy within him.

However, before he was even able to do so, Zeus felt a heavy wooden bar hit against his head. It hurt quite badly, forcing him to grab onto his head. Yet, with the sharp pain, all the natural energy within also dispersed, causing him to glance back at Fukasaku.

Scratching his head, Zeus mumbled. "That was uncalled for, but thanks. If not for you, I would have probably needed to blow up this place as well."

Fukasaku didn't asnwer. Instead, he fell against the ground, looking up at the sky, then back down at Zeus. "Listen... have you already learned senjutsu from somewhere before?"

"No," Zeus answered. "I don't think I did."

"Then, what the actual fuck is happening right now?" Fukasaku jumped back to his feet, looking at Zeus like he was some alien. "Do you even understand what have you just done? Let alone feeling a natural energy, you have even managed to attract it, which is equally as hard."

"Really? I didn't think that was that difficult." Zeus answered, scratching the side of his nose. "Perhaps you are overestimating the difficulty of learning senjutsu?"

"Are you kidding me?" Fukasaku put both of his palms against his forehead, feeling a huge headache coming up. "In the few hundred years of living, I have met only three people who could utilize natural energy properly. It's not that learning senjutsu is easy, you are just a freaking monster."

Zeus basically ignored Fukasaku's entire talk, instead focusing on one part that struck him the most impression. "You are a few hundred years? Damn, Fukasaku, you are one old toad."

"You are not listening, Zeus!" Fukasaku suddenly shouted, not being to hold his emotion within himself anymore. Sighing, he fell back to the ground, his back facing the sky. "Just what the hell did I get myself into? Who is this monster?"

"Mhmm, I am still here?" Zeus said awkwardly.

"I don't care!" Fukasaku once again rose back, striking Zeus with the impression that he was communicating with a hyperactive old man. "No, I can't believe it! Do it again!"

'He is funny.' Zeus thought, going along with Fukasaku's words. He wanted to try channeling the natural energy again, so he promptly got down to business. Fukasaku stared at Zeus without blinking, waiting till something extraordinary happened again.

This time, Zeus managed to feel it much faster and sucked a bit inside. However, the amount was too small this time, causing the skin on his face to suddenly feel really strange. Glancing down at the pond, Zeus understood that he looked half frog half human. After receiving another hit from Fukasaku, his face returned to normal.

This time Fukasaku remained calm and collected. Seeing Zeus sitting on the ground, contemplating how to properly collect that natural energy, Fukasaku felt another headache coming up. Putting his hands on Zeus's shoulder, Fukasaku said. "I don't know whether you are a blessing from the heavens or a devil from hell, but I have never seen someone so talented. Did...you already understand what's the catch in gathering natural energy?"

"I need to suck in an amount that would be proportional to my spiritual and physical energy, or else I would turn into a frog?" Zeus mumbled, not even addressing Fukasaku but rather himself.

"Honestly..." Fukasaku sighed. "I don't even feel like teaching you anymore today. Let's go back and eat some food. All this stress caused me to lose like a few pounds."

"I will stay here for some more time," Zeus answered, remaining sitting in the lotus position. He felt like he could do it properly in a few more tries, so he didn't want this opportunity to slip by. Fukasaku sighed, glancing back to see Zeus suddenly standing back up from the sitting position.

"What? You changed your mind so fast?" Fukasaku raised an eyebrow.

"No, I have just thought of something." Zeus put a hand to his chin, looking at the ground in deep thought. "Doesn't senjutsu have a really big weakness? I don't think anyone is going to let you sit unmoving gathering natural energy during a fight."

"Naturally." Fukasaku pointed at his head. "That's why you need to use this to properly use senjutsu."

"Why don't people learn how to gather natural energy while moving though? Wouldn't that be more efficient?" Zeus asked, staring at Fukasaku as if he has just discovered something unordinary. In response, however, Fukasaku only snickered, then started laughing with his back on the ground.

He laughed so much that Zeus felt kind of insulted. Pointing at Zeus, Fukasaku opened his mouth, continuing to giggle in between breaths. "To gather natural energy, you have to become one with the environment. So how are you going to merge with it, and distribute the energy properly, all while amid a battle? I have never heard something so ridiculous, Zeus. That was a good laugh."

"But...it doesn't sound too difficult?" Zeus mumbled, suddenly having a strange grin on his face as he stared at the sky. "What if you simply become like the passing wind, the shining sun...or the quiet sky?"

"You..." Fukasaku stopped laughing, instead laughing at Zeus's serious expression. "Are you for real?"

In return, Zeus licked his lips. "The food might as well just wait then."
