42 Rasa

Rasa stared at the man who had just killed Orochimaru's clone, then frowned as the understanding dawned upon him. That snake hadn't even been coming here with his real body, yet he was proposing deals that would affect the fate of the entire village. His mood soured a bit, but he kept calm before the unknown enemy.

Rasa scanned the man, noting how defined his muscles were. Furthermore, despite being quite handsome, the man excluded a dangerous aura, which was enhanced by the sizzling of electricity around his body. For some reason, the kid seemed familiar, especially due to his long white hair.

"Have you bitten off your tongue? Where the hell is that bastard?" Zeus frowned, remaining standing in the same spot as he repeated his question. However, Rasa didn't even take Zeus's words into account.

"Were you the one that sneaked inside my village and caused a ruckus?" Rasa asked a question instead, forcing Zeus to tilt his head down in disappointment. It seemed like he had met yet another uncooperative individual. Why couldn't people just answer him when he asks a question? They could escape from so many issues then.

"I did. So what? You want me to apologize?" Zeus asked, a giggle escaping from his mouth. He took a step forward. "Oh, the most sumptuous Kazekage that has blessed this village with his existence, could you please excuse me for illegally stepping into your little abode?"

A few veins revealed themselves on Rasa's forehead, much to Zeus's amusement. The Fourth Kazekage finally had enough, lifting his hand forward, as the ground beneath him suddenly exploded into movement. Zeus was already prepared for something like this, as he rapidly disappeared from the spot, running a few hundred meters away.

'Since I didn't catch Orochimaru, might as well force my anger on this bastard.' Zeus concluded in his mind, pushing more chakra throughout his body. The sand moved like a wave toward him, prolonging higher and higher until forming a tsunami. The sand itself looked a bit different from normal, making Zeus quite interested.

Zeus, activating his speed to the fullest capabilities, exploded from the spot. His speed was so overwhelming that he passed by the side of the incoming attack, without letting Rasa change its course. Though, that provided Rasa with enough time to see Zeus rushing at him.

His hands moved like those of a puppeteer, and his fingers twitched, causing numerous golden spikes to suddenly emerge from the ground. Zeus was unable to dodge them due to his intense speed, as his stomach was penetrated by one of them. However, his body suddenly morphed into lightning and produced a terrifying explosion, causing Rasa to lift his hand to block the dust moving toward his face.

It was a different way of using clones, which utilized the friction that could be formed by forcing a bunch of electrical currents to collide with each other, thus producing an explosion.

Rasa didn't stall for long, pushing the golden sand upwards to form a roof over him. From there, multiple lightning nails fell, aimed precisely toward the enemy. They collided with the golden roof, causing tremors to shake the entire place. Yet, despite that, the golden roof held on, though not unscratched. Rasa was breathing heavily, his hands feeling the weight of the attack.

"That's funny. You could basically create an entire house in no time." Zeus's voice suddenly echoed from below Rasa, forcing goosebumps to cover his entire body. Slowly, his eyes moved down, where he saw Zeus leisurely lying on the sand, staring at the golden roof with a smile. "Come now. Why stop midway? A few more walls and I wouldn't mind living here."

In response, a golden tentacle formed beneath Rasa, moving toward Zeus to latch onto his body. However, Zeus instantly raised his body, forcing the attack to miss. Rasa continued twisting his hand, the sand following his movement, yet Zeus easily evaded every attack without much issue. Eventually, Zeus closed the distance between them.

He feinted an attack to the left but actually produced a kick from the right, which connected with Rasa's face. He was sent flying. However, before he could even land back on the ground, an electrical whip latched onto his leg, stopping him in the air. He levitated for a few moments, before falling to the ground face forth, unable to change his body course.

"It's kind of ironic that you use literal gold as your weapon, whilst your entire village is starving due to insufficient resources," Zeus mumbled, pushing some chakra into the whip, causing an electrical strike to pass through Rasa's body, hindering his movement. "Don't you think?"

Of course, Zeus didn't actually let Rasa respond, as he kept pushing chakra into the whip, making the man of little use. Yet, when he was about to finish the job, Zeus felt danger approaching from behind. Ducking, Zeus moved his right hand with his entire body, pushing Rasa alongside the whip and sending him flying toward the new enemy.

It was Gaara, who sent a few sand javelins at Zeus, standing there. Rasa, his father, collided with the youth head-forth, forcing them both onto the ground. Zeus stared at them both from a considerable distance, curious as to how things were going to play out now.

Rasa, who came back to his senses, rose back to his feet, not even trying to help Gaara stand up. His entire body was twitching with pain, but he was unable to rest, for Zeus was staring at them like a wild beast scanning its prey. Rasa considered his options, coming to the realization that there was no way for him to defeat this monster at all.

He had to come up with an alternative. No, just a chance to come out of this situation alive would be enough. His eyes moved down to where Gaara was still lying on the floor, holding onto his head with a frown. Rasa's face became even more serious. There was no other way.

Rasa took out a kunai, ducking down for his face to be leveled with Gaara's. Then, without saying a word, Rasa penetrated the kunai into Gaara's thigh, forcing a shriek to come out of the kid's mouth.

Zeus, who was staring at everything from the side, suddenly had a huge scowl on his face. To think that a father would injure his own son due to his lack of power was both amusing and disgusting to Zeus. He felt the divinity within Gaara become much more clear and pristine, whilst the kid continued to cry and shout, staring at his own bloody body.

Gaara's body morphed and grew bigger, as violent energy spread throughout the vicinity. Rasa moved away faster than Zeus's lightning, letting Gaara continue his transformation. Eventually, Zeus felt a shadow looming over him, as he tilted his head a bit up.

A huge terrifying monster stood in front of him.

Yet, to be honest, this creature looked quite funny.
