35 Jiraiya

Mountain Myoboku welcomed another beautiful day. The sun shone in its full luminance, brightening up the world below and forcing all the frogs to wake up. However, whilst the frogs were just getting out of their dwellings, a single figure was already standing on top of a tree.

Wounds covered his entire body, noting all the suffering he had witnessed in his life. However, his flawlessly built figure and solid muscles draw attention away from his impairments. The man's hair was fully white, stretching down onto his shoulders.

It was uncontrollable and messy, getting shuffled with the passing wind. The man's eyes were closed as if he was in deep thought. Yet, the man suddenly opened them wide. At the same time, light blue circles formed around his sights, causing his hair to slightly spike into the air.

"It's going to be a great day." Zeus smiled, taking a step forward away from the tree. Immediately, Zeus disappeared from sight, rocketing down onto the ground. His hair was pushed back, revealing his forehead, whilst the ground got nearer and nearer. When he was just a few feet from colliding with it, Zeus pushed his hand backward and punched forward.

Surprisingly, the amount of strength held within his punch was so overwhelming that it caused a shockwave. Everything seemed to have stopped momentarily, whilst the grass was pushed away. Zeus levitated in the air momentarily before easily landing on the ground, pushing all the dust away from his shoulders.

Stretching, Zeus glanced one more time at his sturdy body. It had already been a few months since he had started training here, and he had achieved some amazing progress. Now, he was fully capable of entering senjutsu mode while in motion, and he could even keep it for a long time.

Additionally, Zeus began to train his physique, annoyed at always being skinny. He did some crazy stuff with his body, even going as far as not sleeping for multiple days to bench press those huge stone frogs. Zeus had also experimented with his jutsu's, becoming much more versatile in ways to transform his chakra into lightning techniques.

Unfortunately, all good things had their issues. Even though Zeus was capable of entering and keeping his Senjutsu mode for long, his body was still that of a mortal. Constantly using big amounts of natural energy was still straining his physical body and even mind.

However, Zeus had to use some really powerful techniques to cause such an issue, so he barely registered this as a downgrade of senjutsu. Zeus was grateful to both Gamamaru and Fukasaku for allowing such an opportunity. In fact, Zeus would have probably noticed the natural energy by himself eventually, but appearing here kind of fastened this process.

While Zeus was still deep in thought, he suddenly felt danger coming from behind. Turning around, Zeus was faced with a huge tsunami rapidly moving his way. Smiling, Zeus extended his hands forward, causing a huge light blue shield to form right in front of him.

It was translucent, yet Zeus knew how difficult it was to break. The tsunami collided with his shield, burning against it and evaporating into smoke. The rest of the water passed and moved past Zeus, making his feet wet. When Zeus glanced down at his legs, Gamaton appeared from behind, where the shield wasn't protecting him.

A water spear formed in front of Gamaton in an instant, flying toward Zeus. In response, Zeus only shrugged. An identically shaped spear originated in front of Zeus, yet it was created of lightning and held much more power. Sending it forward, it collided with the enemy's spear, causing a crash.

Zeus's attack easily pierced through, and sought straight at Gamaton, who promptly put up a wall of water. Yet, even that was not enough to block the attack, as he was sent flying away into the water created by his previous attack.

"You good, Gamaton?" Zeus asked, scratching the back of his head in shame. He had overestimated his powers a bit. Too bad for the blue froggy.

"Hey, Zeus, when you said you are not going to be holding back, I didn't think you meant it like that!" Gamaton revealed himself out of the water, holding onto his forehead, where a bit of his skin was clearly burned into oblivion.

"Haha, you look like Fukasaku." Zeus pointed at Gamaton's face, then held his own mouth with his other hand, laughing quietly. "I bet you will also be as small as him when you grow up."

A few veins popped on Gamaton's forehead, and he immediately rushed forward, bouncing off the water. "Don't compare me to him! I bet I will be towering over you in no time!"

"Yeah, tell that to yourself in your dreams." Zeus saw Gamaton flying toward him from above, preparing to punch him in the face. Smiling, Zeus ducked, escaping the punch, and then grabbed the frog by the leg. Lifting him into the air, Zeus stared at the frog's upside-down face.

During these few months, Zeus had grown much closer to this blue frog and they have formed an interesting bond together. A few days ago, Zeus said that Gamaton would never be able to injure Zeus. However, this statement caused Gamaton to become offended and he has been pulling off stunts like these ever since.

Yesterday, Zeus was literally attacked in his sleep, yet Gamaton stepped into one of his traps, making the situation even funnier. Still, Zeus had to admit that Gamaton was probably the strongest water jutsu user he knew of, or will ever know.

"Alright, man, it's enough. Let me go." Gamaton sighed. "I have learned my lesson."

"No, I don't feel like you did yet." Zeus smiled in response, moving him back and forth like a clock.

Gamaton contained his anger, eventually continuing. "On a real note, though, Fukasaku has sent me to fetch you. It seemed like he had some important news for you."

"Fukasaku?" Zeus furrowed his eyebrows. "Then what are we waiting for? It has been a long time since I have last seen him."

Not letting Gamaton go, Zeus rushed away from the scene, basically teleporting through the terrain. He was so fast that coldness penetrated through Gamaton's skin, yet he was unable to confront Zeus, his voice lost in the wind.

The scene would have looked pretty funny if anyone managed to see Zeus running. Unfortunately, others were only able to register it as a blue flash. Eventually, Zeus stopped, causing Gamaton to basically fly out of his hands. The frog landed on the ground, breathing for air, then not managing to hold it in and puking out everything he had eaten this day.

"This is revenge for that night when you tried to sneak into my room," Zeus mumbled, glancing away from Gamaton so as to not see the disgusting scene. Perhaps he had gone a bit overboard. He felt evil.

"Fucker." Gamaton cursed under his breath, raising his head. However, when he looked up at Zeus, he saw the man staring away from him. Following his line of sight, Gamaton was surprised to see a nostalgic face. Beside Fukasaku, who was frowning at the way Zeus and Gamaton entered the training ground, stood another man.

"Fukasaku...that's what you wanted to show me? Another human training senjutsu?" Jiraiya raised an eyebrow at Zeus, then his eyes darted towards Gamaton lying on the ground. "Is that you, Gamaton? You have grown up a lot in these few years."

"Jiraiya?" Gamaton jumped to his feet, putting on a smile. With one hand, Gamaton washed away all the remaining soil from his mouth. "You have not visited in quite a while. How have you been?"

"Oh, I am doing fine. I have been quite busy lately though." Jiraiya answered, scratching the back of his head. "What about you? I heard that you have run away for a few months."

Gamaton was about to answer when Fukasaku stepped forward, forcing their interaction to stop. He was frowning uncontrollably and he smacked Jiraiya in the head, forcing him to grumble in pain. "Jiraiya, you bastard, don't you recognize him?"

Jiraiya scanned Zeus from head to toe again while holding onto the place Fukasaku smacked. His eyes stopped momentarily on Zeus's wounds, but he paid them little heed and moved on. Eventually, Jiraiya's expression became even more confused. "Honestly, first time seeing this man. Though, he has terrific hair. The flow is immaculate."

Fukasaku placed his palm against his head, sighing in deep distress. "This is Zeus, Hiruzen's adopted son."

There was a moment of awkward silence during which Jiraiya's face twisted into tens of different emotions. Slowly raising both of his hands and grasping his hair, Jiraiya started pulling. "WHAT?!!!!"
