19 Chapter-19 End of Gato

In his previous life Sasuke wanted to travel around the world, experience different cultures, taste different foods. For the first eight years of this life he was happy with his family, he did not have any memory of past life so he spent that time like a normal kid. That life fall apart the day he got previous life memory, same day Uchiha clan got annihilated. So in after that, apart from training he did not do anything else.

He was little exited to visit new place and in his excitement he forgot that people of this village were suffering due to Gato. There was a gloomy atmosphere in the village, he saw kids begging for food, vegetable stalls and shops barely have food to sell, sadness and hopelessness were on faces of people everywhere. This was the second time he felt the cruelty of this world. After the Uchiha clan massacre he immersed himself in training, he desired strength so that he can get his revenge and live life the way he want. He knew this world is kind of place where strong prey on weak, but knowing that is one thing and actually living in such world is another.

If it were his previous life he would be sad for these people but things are different now. He has the strength to do something about this situation now. He may not have the strength to go against the world right now, but he can crush Gato like a bug. He didn't care how his action affects future and his future knowledge become useless, he is going to help these people. Although he cannot stay here for long time to actually make a difference in the life of people here, but he can kill Gato and hope that their life becomes better.

He understood that killing Gato is not a perfect solution, it will just buy some time for these people until another Gato appears. But he do not have any better solution at the moment.

Next Sasuke investigated about Gato's residence near the village. He needed information of Gato's whereabouts and also his hideouts. He planned to sneak inside Gato's residence and kill him if he is there if not he will interrogate his men to find his location and hideouts. Next Sasuke go back and meet with Kushina, he told her his plan and ask if she wants to join him. She told him that she will just tag along and not going to help him in any of this.

Sasuke left his shadow clone with the team and went to investigate about everything related to Gato. It took him three days to know everything about Gato, all his business, property, assets, his illegal business etc. Sasuke's genjutsu was getting stronger by the day and getting information from people and then erasing their memory of encounter was very easy for him, he also find the hideout of Zabuza and Haku. Gato has a lot of men on his payroll but they were normal goons who didn't know how to use chakra. He also have few samurai as his guards but they were not a problem for Sasuke.

Sasuke waited till the midnight and then sneak into the Gato's hideout. Gato was sleeping in his room with two samurai standing guard near the gate. He knock out the guards and enter Gato's room. He put a sound cancelling seal in the room and made his way to Gato. He put Gato in genjutsu and extracted every information about his safe and assets from him. Next he unsheathed his sword to kill Gato but his hands were shaking. This was first time he was actually going to kill someone.

KUSHINA: "It is not so easy to kill someone is it?"

SASUKE: "He has done many evil deeds, lots of people died because of him and many are suffering. He should die for what he has done."

KUSHINA: "Yes he should die but it doesn't make it easier for you to become a murderer. You need a lot more resolve if you want to pursue your path of revenge. Even path of ninja requires you to become a cold blooded murderer."

SASUKE: "Does it become easier?"

KUSHINA: "No, you may lose your hesitation but it will not be easier. If you lose your humanity then may be."

Sasuke took a deep breathe, Gato was standing like a statue in front of him, he was under genjutsu. Sasuke hardened his resolve and swung his blade through Gato's neck. Gato's body fall in front of him while his head was some distance away. Sasuke stood there for few minutes and looked at what he has done. He finally become someone belonging to this world.

Sasuke was contemplating what to do about Gato's men. There were lots of criminal working under Gato, if he leave them like this, then they would just go back to their life of crime. They might become bandits or something like that, and many innocent people would suffer because of them. He decided to finish them off. Sasuke transform into Gato and ordered all his men to assemble. There were 20 goons and two samurais present. Gato has not hired men for killing Zabuza after he finishes off team-7 yet. Sasuke lose his transformation and attack these men. In less than 30 seconds 22 dead bodies were lying on the floor. Killing them in battle was much easier for Sasuke than executing Gato.

Sasuke clean the safe present there, took all the money and put them in storage scroll, and left. He decided to give this money to Tazuna to help the village's economy. Next he decided to visit Zabuza and Haku and deal with them. He was not sure whether to kill them or not. He knew Haku has a hard life but people of this village were also suffering. Bridge is the last hope of village and if they kill Tazuna then they will take this hope away. Although they lost the reason to kill Tazuna after Gato's death, but if they work as mercenary then they again will be hired by someone like Gato. He was not sure what to do with them but still decided to confront them.
