It has been 3 months since Kuro resurrected Yawara and 4 since he graduated from the Academy.
Anko had already informed him that the Chuunin Exams will be in 1 month, and that to participate, they are going to group him to a team that is missing a member.
Apparently, 1 of the 3 members did not want to participate and since Kuro is alone, he is perfect to complete the team.

In these 4 months he has made a lot of progress, either in his skills or the creation of different hiding places in different Lands.
His trip to the Land of Waves back then was quite fruitful as he managed to get the techniques from Haku, Zabuza, and Kakashi.
After that, Kuro continued to earn EXP from C-rank missions, becoming familiar with the combination of the elements, mastering the new Jutsu he learned, and creating hiding places.
In 4 months he completed 10 C rank missions, in which the average EXP was around 4500, earning a total of +45000 EXP.
(A/N: Killing a Shinobi will also give EXP, it's something I forgot to add when Yawara died. The amount is equal to the CP the Shinobi has, as well as an addition that will depend on how strong they were.)
