More and more praise and congratulations could be heard.
They came from the crowd outside the Academy, made up of children wearing a shiny headband and their parents.
Today was the day all the students graduated. Or well, almost all of them.
On Hokage Mountain, standing on the head of the Yondaime, invisible to all, was a young man who was wearing a black kimono and hair of the same color, tied in a ponytail.
Despite the distance, the young man could clearly see a blond boy sitting on a swing, looking quite depressed.
He could also see a man with shoulder-length white hair approaching the boy.
They talk for a few moments, until the blonde gets quite cheerful and runs off.
The young man took his eyes off the boy and gazed at the village for a moment, before disappearing in the blink of an eye.

- (POV - Kuro) -
I am sitting on the sofa in my house, contemplating the object that I received for having graduated from the Academy as number 1.
[Shinkoku
An indestructible and extremely sharp katana.
It can teleport back to its scabbard, regardless of distance.]
(A/N: This will be the only item that the System will give the MC.)
The scabbard is completely black, with the Sageo being a shade darker.
The sword was also black, except that the Mono-uchi is silver.

After receiving the katana, along with the scabbard, I went to buy another identical scabbard.
I stored the original in my inventory, so that I could get the katana back in case I lost it.
If someone asks where I got the sword, I will say it was at home or some other simple excuse, but difficult to confirm.
Also, I doubt anyone would delve too deep into it, after all, it looks like a normal katana.
Suddenly, I received information from one of my clones.
I stored the sword in inventory and created 3 more clones.
One of the clones went to sleep, while the other two and I transformed into birds, activated stealth, and flew out the window.
My plan is simple;
Follow Naruto, who will have the Scroll of Seals with him and learn the techniques it contains.
I will use my clones to conceal me, since the Hokage will be watching Naruto in his crystal ball.
Although I thought about doing it on my own, I only need to touch the scroll for a moment and voila, however, a bird that pauses on top of the scroll for an instant and flies again might attract a second glance.
That is why I will use my clones to simulate a game between birds, this is benefited because the type of bird we transform into is quite known for being playful.
So to a viewer it would look like a bird that stops for an instant and flies again due to the chase of 2 other birds.
I may be being overly cautious, however, I don't know if Hiruzen can distinguish a Henge through the crystal ball or not, or if he needs to pay close attention to do so, in case he can.
Anyway, it won't hurt to do so.

My clones and I are hiding among the leaves of a tree, staring at an excited Naruto as he sat down and opened the oversized scroll.
'It's time…' With that thought, I took off and after a moment, my clones followed me.
I flew over the Uzumaki's shoulder and landed on top of the scroll, which was upright.
[A skill has been detected. Do you want to learn it? Y/N.]
I accepted and not a second later, my clones arrived and I took flight again.

At this moment a meeting was taking place in which some Jounin and the Hokage were participating.
"Well? What do you think?" Hiruzen asked, after the Jounin finished reading the papers he gave them.
The Jounin who had a cigarette in his mouth was the first to speak: "I have no problem, however, I have a question."
"Oh? What is it?" Hiruzen leaned back in the chair and asked.
Asuma exhaled some smoke and spoke, "Well, it's been a custom to group the best student in the Academy together with the worst and the best Kunoichi. Why will it be different this time?"
Some Jounin nodded as well and looked at the Hokage curiously.
Hiruzen thought for a moment and opened his mouth, "The capabilities of the best student this time are far superior to his peers. Putting together a team with them would be counterproductive, as he would be too far ahead and they would not be able to form a good teamwork."
So who will he go with?" Asuma asked curiously.
'I would like to accept him as a student, but–' "With his abilities he would be a good fit in ANBU" Hiruzen's thoughts were interrupted by the opinion of a Jounin.
The Hokage shook his head and spoke, "His Sensei has already been chosen, however we can talk about that later. For now, let's focus on his own teams."
