Academy surprise test part 1

I strained against the bindings that held me in place, trying to get a better look around. My hands and feet were both tied, with thick ropes connecting to each other, resulting in a tight situation. I had a gag in my mouth and a blindfold in my eyes, but those were a little bit looser.

Five seconds ago, I had been in class with the other kids, and suddenly the teacher said it was time for a survival test, was the academy like this for Naruto.

I could sense other people, and they were probably bound just like I was, others were moving freely, so I came to the conclusion that those were the teachers, after a few minutes, someone takes off my blindfold, eyes adjusting to the light, I notice my entire class was here.

We were in two lines that faced each other, we were in a car that was moving, though I had no idea where we were going, or where we were, but by the smell it and the slighter wetter sensation, I dare say a forest, I just hope is not the forest of death.

A man in with chunin attire walked down towards us, he had scars on his arms and was missing an eye, once he is close enough for all of us to see, he clears his throat coughing and stops just in front of me, which allowed me a good look at him.

'I don't remember this body doing this shit,' I thought as I watched the man.

"You are the future of Konoha, and we can't allow weaklings to survive, but we believe in ideals though, in strength through adversity, righteousness through struggle, If you survive this test, you will be stronger for it, make it back to the academy, and you will pass this test, fail, and you will die, just one will and the rest will die regardless if they get to the academy or not," With that, he walked away.

I had questions, but I had a feeling he was going to ignore me. None of what he'd said sounded like the will of fire and stuff the series advertized. I'd already been struggling with being in a new world, with insecurities and confusion, but now fear had finally added itself to the mix, I was afraid to die.

A girl across from me was shaking her head from side to side. It seems she'd been doing it for a while, but I failed to notice until now, but once she heard the man said what he said, she started speeding up, not that I blame her, the option of dying is terrifying.

Some ninjas started to release us from our bindings, I'm not sure what is the real goal of this, but I'm not gonna die today.

"We're allowed to cooperate," The girl shouted. "We stand a better chance of survival if we team up together, we can --"

She was drowned seconds later by her own blood by a katana opening up her belly; I struggled with a ton of emotions seeing the now motionless girl in the ground, one of our teachers had killed her, in cold bold.

"Be this a reminder; you can't cooperate," The ninja that had killed her said, with his katana dripping blood.

After they released us, I started to run with no real destination, thanks to my new agility I was able to run in the trees, jumping from one to another, the wind rushed past me my stomach lurched at the thought of what happened to the poor girl, how could academy students survive fully trained soldiers, this test made no fucking sense, it didn't make any sense.

I was going to die, just like all the other students, and there was nothing that I could do to stop it.

Wait a second; this shit makes no sense, Konoha is not the bloody mist, there must be a hidden meaning inside this test, something smells fishy here.

The only logical explanation is that they want to see how you guys problem-solve against enemies that clearly outmatch you.

The girl might have been an illusion or a ninja faking; after all, today was the first day you have seen her in your life, the part where the main instructor said.

It all made sense now, I let my fear cloud my logical thinking and ignored the obvious signs, this was a test to prove our resolve to survive,

I looked to the others that were following me for what I sensed two kids were following me, so turning around, hoping that one of them had figured it out so we could team up and beat the test, Instead of that, I saw them fighting.

A boy with a dull pink hair was trying to kill a girl, the boy was someone I recognized Kizashi Haruno; He was struggling against the girl, holding onto her with one hand and trying to stab her with the other.

Jumping in front of them, I pushed them apart, kicking Kizashi and the mysterious girl apart, disarming both of them in the process, gotta love this body, they were getting ready to start a battle royale with me, but ain't nobody got time for that.

"Are you two stupid," I said, holding the kunai Kizashi had on my hands, "This test, the information we have is all fake... they are trying to make us fight each other, and so far they are succeeding if you ask me."

Kizashi stared at me for a second, and with a shaky voice said, "Didn't you see what they did to that girl back there? out here is kill or be killed!"

I knew what he meant; I was confused at first.

"Y-eah, but I don't want to kill my friends," The girl said shaking, she had a short blonde hair and a dress that reminded me of Sakura.

With a long sigh, I took a step forward, saying, "A girl that didn't exist before today's exams, or did any of you knew her?"

It seemed that the fact that they didn't know the girl made them see, this was all a charade.

"Then what do we do?" Kizashi asked still shaking, maybe now at the fact he almost killed a teammate, though I was pretty sure some hidden instructor would jump to intervene, I don't think they will actually put us in danger,

"We go back to the academy as a group," I said with a faint smile as I turned to the girl, "and by the way, what's your name? I always see you in class, but I never got to talk to you..."

The girl visibly relaxing thanks to the fact that no one was going to kill her, said. "Mebuki Hashima,"

Mebuki and Kizashi, now I wonder do Kizashi and Sakura are related? I mean, the Haruno last name is not common.

I can't believe just two days ago I was playing ninjas with Mikoto, laughing and enjoying life, and today I have to pass the most over the top test I have ever done in my life, life can be hard sometimes, and something tells me It will only get harder from this point.
