Chapter 5: Shinobi Academy

1 month later,

The newly opened Shinobi Academy begins today. Rei who is wearing wearing black short high-collared sleeve shirt with Uchiha clan logo printed at the back of it and bandages wrapped around his arms can be seen entering the newly opened Shinobi academy. When he reached the classroom, it was very noisy with discussions which can be heard even from the outside.

When he enters the class, he noticed people from lots of different clans. He ignores them and moves to the a designated seat with the Uchiha emblem on it and sat down. He has no interest in communicating with the children here so he folded his hands and closed his eyes waiting for the arrival of the Hokage. As this is the first day, he is very sure that the Hokage will definitely come to do a introduction.

From what his father told him the purpose of the ninja academy is to train elite ninjas from young age and integrate them to the new ninja ranking system of the village (Genin, Chunin , Special Jonin and Jonin) where the ninja rank will be given according to the merit to the village like completed missions and the strength of the ninja.

But from his years of experience, he can see this matter is not as simple at seems on the surface. The true purpose from what he can conclude seems to be to change the shinobi in this village from clan based hierarchy to village based hierarchy . Although the results can't be seen at the early stage, if this system is successfully implemented in the near future the ninjas will be loyal to the village and die for the village as how they would die for their clan.

Although he can see this, but he has no reason to intervene in it. His purpose of coming to shinobi academy is to learn more about chakra and ninjutsu to get stronger and also because he is interested in the mysteries of chakra which is totally different from magic from his previous world. To ninjas in this world chakra is the energy that is used to perform their techniques.

Hand seals are an important factor that are used to perform many Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and other secret arts in this world. These hand seals helps in summoning, guiding and molding chakra necessary to perform their techniques. There are twelve different hand seals (Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig) which are named the same as the zodiac signs in his previous world. Each technique has a different sequence of hand seals that needs to be performed to be used. The more complex and stronger the ninjutsu is the more seals are required to be performed.

During the past two years, Madara-sama has helped him in building a very strong foundation focusing on body strength and speed, reaction speed, Taijutsu and most importantly hand seals. This is due to the fact that the faster a ninja can form his hand seal, the faster he can release his techniques making it one of the important factors for a ninja in battle. After two years of constant practice, he can perform one seals per second similar to the elites in his clan.

Currently the Ninjutsu he has mastered are Transformation technique, Clone Technique, Body Substitution Technique, Body Flicker technique, Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu and Fire Style: Fire Dragon Bomb Jutsu. The Genjutsu he has mastered are Death Mirage Jutsu and Sly mind affect technique. He finds that Genjutsu techniques has huge potential so he decided to develop it more in the future especially with his huge spiritual energy but now he is more focused on Taijutsu and Ninjutsu.

While he was thinking by himself he sensed someone approaching in his direction. He opens his eyes and sees a fair-skinned man with short, black, tousled hair which fell over around his forehead framing his face, wearing a high-collared dark blue shirt . The boy saw me looking at him then walked to me and said smilingly "Hello nice to meet you, my name is Kagami Uchiha, what is yours?" while extending his hand towards Rei.

"Rei Uchiha" he responded shaking the boys hands

"Do you know what are we going to do today?" asked Kagami while took his seat beside him

"Probably testing our abilities" Rei responded casually then turned his head towards the door where he sensed two massive chakra signatures coming in the direction of the classroom.
