The battle between Yukan and Teshima continued for a while as Minato slowly got ready for the ultimate move.

'Fu*k! I didn't think something like this could happen. This is our last chance. Either this move works out otherwise, we both die. I am getting tired, my body is full of injuries. Minato is also running low on chakra.'

Yukan thought in his mind as he tanked all the damage and protected Minato from all the attacks.

"Oi, I'm ready," Minato shouted at the top of his lungs.

Yukan did not look back but just nodded in response. He then used a lot of strength to push Teshima back a little as Yukan himself went back to Minato.

Two large circles of wind were spinning around Minato's hands as Yukan stood in front of him.

"Get ready to see the might of our [Heavenly wind and Black fire deadly combination stage 2] skill," Minato said as he looked at Teshima.

"Haha, sure. Show it to me. Let me see what some inferior ones can do." Teshima said as resolved not to move again.

'Yeah, when we make it out, I'm going to change the name.' Yukan thought as he made a light jump in the air.

The moment Yukan's feet left the ground, Minato hit Yukan's back with those large wind spirals, making him fly forward at high speed.

As Yukan flew towards Teshima, he put his katana in front of him, aiming to stab Teshima.

"Go for his heart," Minato yelled from the back as he sat down after exhausting a lot of chakra.

Teshima heard Minato and laughed at the two's immaturity to yell out this information. Teshima quickly channelled a lot of his chakra in front of his chest.

'I'll use [Steel Strength] too.'

The moment he saw that Yukan was about to make contact in a second, he started to speak," That is why I said you are-"

As Teshima was saying, he felt something cold and hard in his mouth, but before he opened his eyes, he lost all his senses from the size of the thing.

Yukan, instead of stabbing Teshima's chest, cut through his mouth as he was talking.

The sword entered his mouth and exited through the top of his pink-haired skull, confirming him dead in moments.

"He dead?" Minato asked loudly.

Yukan did not say anything but just raised his thumb.

"You good?" Minato asked again.

Yukan once again said nothing but kept his thumb up.

In a few moments, Yukan fell to the ground from exhaustion. He was tired after this fight and a few uses of [Steel Strength].

When Minato saw that Yukan was fine, he also fell to the ground and closed his eyes.

After a few hours when the two opened their eyes and looked around.

They quickly disposed of the dead body of Teshima and made their way out of the Ayoko clan's area.

When the two left, a green-cactus-like figure emerged from the ground. The cactus opened as a man with a half-black and half-white body appeared.

"...Hmm." The man hmmed as he looked at the place where Minato and Yukan disposed the body of Teshima.

-At Konoha's gate-

Sakumo was getting ready to leave and search for his students.

He was worried since the mission should not have taken such a long time unless there were some complications.

Even if there were complications, the two should have sent an S.O.S. signal, but there was no signal either. This only meant that the two were in big trouble and were not even able to send an S.O.S.

Worried that something would happen to his students, Sakumo hurriedly got ready to leave Konoha to check on them.

As he was about to leave, he saw Minato and Yukan finally making an appearance at the gate with their injured bodies.

"Are you guys alright?" Sakumo asked as he rushed towards them and quickly supported them in standing.

"Sensei, the mission was a success," Yukan replied with a smile on his face.

"That's brilliant but are you two fine? No, leave that. I'll take you to the hospital." Sakumo said as he held his two students and disappeared from the gate.

-One day later, at the hospital-

Yukan and Minato were a lot better now.

Although the two were still injured, the injuries were not serious at all and the hospital would have to discharge the two in a day at most.

Yukan only had cuts and bruises all over his upper body but they were still light and Minato was only exhausted.

Right now, Minato and Yukan were lying in their beds while Sakumo was standing in front of them.

"I know you both wouldn't be injured so much after fighting a bunch of ordinary chuunin. Did you meet a jonin or something?" Sakumo asked. He was really confused as to how his students managed to get in this state.

"No, sensei. We met a beauty." Yukan answered.

Sakumo looked at Yukan for a second and then spoke," So, you both met a beauty and then fought with each other over her?"

"No sensei, Yukan is joking. We met a boy and then-" Minato said to solve a misunderstanding Sakumo had.

But instead of solving it, he worsened the misunderstanding.

"...So you guys fought over a boy. Don't misunderstand, I have no problem if you like boys, but I would prefer that you both don't fight with-" Sakumo was interrupted.

"Stop it, Sensei. You are the one having misunderstandings. Minato, shut up. What happened was…" Yukan explained everything that happened to Sakumo.

Sakumo took a seat and thought about what his students did.

Killing a clan's person was not a small thing. What if Yukan and Minato killed an important person's son?

"Did the boy you killed have White hair with a touch of pink colour and pink eyes?" Sakumo asked his students in a serious tone.

All the people from the Main branch of the Ayoko clan had Light Pink hair and pink eyes.

"No, the boy had prominent pink hair and blue eyes," Yukan answered.

"Hmm, no need for the two of you to worry. I'll manage things from here. Rest now. Ah, by the way, we leave in 3 days now, Yukan. Be prepared." Sakumo said as he exited the room.

The next day, Yukan and Minato were discharged from the hospital since they were fine and did not need to stay in the hospital anymore.

While walking back to their homes, Minato asked, "Hey, do you think you'll get any ribbon roses?"

Any shinobi, usually males, going on the battlefield were given a rose made out of ribbon by any female (Regardless of the relation) to wish a safe and healthy return.

"I don't know. My mother will give me one for sure. Maybe I'll get one from Tomato..." Yukan put both his hands on the back of his head as he talked and walked toward his home.

-At Yukan's House-

As soon as Yukan entered the house, he received a hug from his mother.

"Why didn't you remind me you will leave the day after tomorrow?" Aayu asked. She had bitter memories of the war. She had already lost her husband to it and did not want to lose her son, too.

"Don't worry mom, nothing will happen to me. I will be the strongest shinobi and then protect you." Yukan said as he did a thumbs up with a bright smile on his face.

Aayu got up, held her son's hand, and walked with him to the kitchen.

"I specially made all your favourites today. Taste them and tell me, how are they?" Aayu said as she pointed to bowls full of food.

"... It is good. Although these beans have a bit more… salt." Yukan said. He could feel a chill run down his spine as he talked about the taste.

The feeling he got just now was worse than what he got fighting Teshima or getting beaten by Sakumo.

He looked up and saw his friendly mother with a WARM smile on her face.

"If it is like that, I'll pick up these dishes, you can make some on your own," Aayu said.

"I never said, anything, mom. These dishes are the best. I am afraid that from now on, I cannot eat food made by anyone other than you." Yukan said as he tried his best to praise his mother.
