Yukan lept in the air and charged at Sakumo as he swung his katana using all his strength.

In Yukan's opinion, Sakumo had to be extra careful of Yukan's katana since Sakumo was using a wooden sword.

But that was not at all correct. Sakumo just stepped a little to the left and avoided Yukan's katana.

"Hmm, try again," Sakumo said.

Yukan looked at Sakumo's wooden sword and said in his mind, 'I'll use steel strength to break his wooden sword at least.'

He had decided to use his skill [Steel Strength].

The skill [Steel Strength] would, as the name suggests, would increase Yukan's strength by a lot but for the Yukan now, using the skill was taxing on his body. Since the part of inheriting the [Kijin Physique] was still in process, this skill would put stress on Yukan's body. He could not use it more than a few times right now though the number of uses will increase as he inherits more of the [Kijin Physique].

Yukan now activated [Steel Strength] and hit Sakumo on his sword.

While a crack appeared on Sakumo's wooden sword, he still managed to guide Yukan's katana away from him before the sword could break.

'That's...some nice raw power at this age' Sakumo said in his mind.

"Let's stop now," Sakumo said as he looked at Yukan after he had used his skill. From what Sakumo could see, Yukan was a little tired already.

"Now come here. I'll tell you how to judge your enemy's target and we also need to..." Sakumo started by teaching Yukan about using his katana better.

After the whole day went by, Sakumo taught Yukan a lot about using weapons. After Yukan, Sakumo taught Minato about the jutsus he got for him. Minato also made good progress in learning ninjutsu.

"I'll be leaving now, kids. You guys should go too." Sakumo walked away after saying that to both his students.

-At Sakumo's house-

"Hey, darling, I'm home," Sakumo said as he entered his house.

"Shh, be quiet, I just got Kakashi to sleep, he has been crying the whole day." Myu scolded Sakumo for being loud.

Sakumo did not listen much about it, pulled Myu into his arms and kissed her.

"...Enough, let me breathe." Myu released herself from Sakumo's arms after kissing for a long time and went inside the house.

"Wash up and come to eat. The food is hot, I just made the food," Myu said while going inside the kitchen.

Sakumo changed his clothes, washed his face, and went to the dining area.

While the two were eating, Myu asked Sakumo," Hey Sakumo, you have been here for a little more than two months, is Lord Hokage asking you to go back soon?"

"Yes, I need to go back in a while. Though I am not sure when it will be. I am also thinking of taking Yukan to the war with me. Minato needs a little while before he is ready to get in the field." Sakumo said while taking a sip of the alcohol in front of him.

"That kid… Is Yukan ready to go with you?" Myu was worried. She didn't want her husband to make a mistake and take an innocent kid to the battlefield after making a wrong decision.

"He may not look like it, but he is pretty strong for his age. He is very good at using his katana. The best way to improve your skills in a sharp, closed-ranged cold weapon is not to train but to rather fight more." Sakumo said as he hurried to gulp down his food since he also had to have some dessert if possible.

-At Yukan's house-

Yukan had already washed up and went into the kitchen to eat dinner with his mother.

Aayu, Yukan's mother had always kept an extra plate on the table for Fuduka as a memory of him.

*Cough**Cough*

Aayu had been coughing a lot that day and Yukan was not too late to notice it.

"Mom, are you alright? You have been coughing ever since I came home." Yukan was worried about his mother's health.

Yukan loved his mother a lot, she was his only remaining family. Yukan was ready to use the [All-Healing Pill] to save her, without even a little bit of hesitation.

"I am alright cutie pie, it is just some normal cough," Aayu said as she tried her best to reassure Yukan that nothing was wrong with her.

"Hmm, alright, I'll believe that. By the way, mom, you know today…"

Yukan started to tell Aayu about his training during the day and Aayu listened to him patiently. She kept on smiling happily while looking at her precious son, Yukan sitting in front of her and telling about his day.

-At Minato's house-

"Ha, if I don't speak for some time, I just feel as if I will forget how to speak in this silent room I call my house," Minato said in a clear voice as if hoping someone would hear him and give him a reply for it.

"Well, what should I make today? Mr Shelf, do you have any suggestions?" Minato looked at the shelf near the kitchen stove and said. The shelf had two eyes and a smile below.

Minato treated the shelf as a friend of his for the time whenever he would feel alone.

Minato opened the shelf and a packet of instant noodles and rice fell.

"So, we have rice for today. Not bad, Not bad at all." Minato said as he picked up the packet of rice.

"Hmm, it's alright to eat," Minato said after he checked the expiry date for the rice.

Minato took a pan from another shelf and put some water in it. He lit the stove and put the pan on it after adding some water and rice to it.

"What spices should I add today?... Do we have any spices left, Mr Shelf?..."

-20 days later, at the training grounds-

"You both have improved a lot in the last twenty days. I am going to leave for the front line in five days. Yukan, you will be leaving with me for the front line. Minato, you will stay in the village and train for some more time. Now, I will give you guys a mission that you will do together before Yukan leaves with me. Here you go." Sakumo said as he handed Minato and Yukan a paper.

Minato and Yukan looked at it and were utterly confused.

"Sensei, what is this?" Minato asked as he took a step back and looked at Sakumo.

"Hmm?" Sakumo was confused too. He had given his students the mission sheet. It should not be that his students cannot read. So, there is only one possible case.

"Sensei, do we get another treat to keep this a secret? Because thi-" As Yukan was saying, Sakumo quickly snatched the sheet.

Sakumo then gave his students an explanation," Th-This is just my favourite actress, nothing else."

"Ahh, I've been wanting to eat some chicken these days..." Yukan said.

"...Alright. I'll get it for you. Just stop it. She is just my favourite actress, nothing more, but whatever." Sakumo said as he then took out another sheet from his pocket and gave it to Yukan.

Minato got back to where he originally was and read the mission with Yukan.

"Sensei, did you make a mistake again and gave us your mission this time?" Yukan asked as he was quite shocked after reading the mission.

"Sensei, this is a B-Rank mission. Do we have to complete this alone?" Minato asked in continuation to Yukan's question.

"No and Yes. No, this isn't mine, this is your mission and yes, you guys have to do this one with only you two. I believe that you guys are strong enough to do this." Sakumo said.

The B-Rank mission was somewhat like this:-

-Description: A total of 6 chunin are wandering in the area near the land of other clans near Konoha after defecting from the spring village.

Objective: Capture the chuunin or kill all six chuunin.

Reward: 100,000 Ryo-

The mission itself wasn't too hard for Yukan and Minato. The main problem was the special warning given at the end.

-Special Warning: A high chance of a jonin to exist out of the six chuunin-

"Sensei, although I am sure that we both can kill six chunin if there is a jonin, there might be some difficulties," Minato spoke as Yukan nodded in agreement.

Sakumo saw their reactions and understood their fear and said," Don't worry, even if there is a jonin, you both can at least hold out long enough to send me or another jonin an S.O.S signalAnyways, leave for the mission immediately, it is an emergency."

Sakumo was not at all worried about the two meeting a jonin since he had already gone ahead of his way and checked the level of the six targets. He was sure enough that the two won't have any problems dealing with them.

Yukan and Minato nodded and left quickly with the emergency bags they had prepared a few days ago.

A while ago, Sakumo had already told them to keep an emergency bag always prepared. The bag should have all the necessities a ninja may require to survive for the next 5-6 days.

Yukan and Minato met at Konoha's main gate after getting their bags from their homes. After getting their names written in the register at Konoha's main gate, the two proceeded in the west direction, towards the woods.
