It's been eight months since Rai learned the Body Flicker Technique. He can now execute the techniques with a single hand sign, significantly elevating his combat prowess.

In these eight months, Rai also mastered water walking. His chakra control and capacity have experienced significant growth; his chakra control is now at a high rank genin level and on the verge of reaching low rank chunin proficiency.

His taijutsu has also advanced to a mid rank genin level. His chakra capacity is above average for his age, reaching mid rank genin standards – a remarkable feat considering he's only in his second year at the academy.

With two more months until the academy resumes, Rai plans to focus on his lightning chakra training.

At the academy office -

Rai discussed his lightning training with Kyasychi Sensei, who provided Rai with a scroll for the initial stages of lightning training. Rai expressed his gratitude and quickly made his way back to the training grounds.

Inside the scroll, it was explained that one must learn to vibrate a small portion of their chakra and rotate it to gradually get accustomed to the voltage.

Rai sat down in the training field and began vibrating the chakra within his body repeatedly. To his surprise, a small coil of electricity formed in his body, which he started rotating through his tenketsu points.

The amount of lightning coursing through his body was around 0.255 milliamperes of electrical current. He gradually increased it to 1 milliampere, which is contextually considered a level where discomfort starts for a normal person. At 6 milliamperes, it becomes uncomfortable, while 10 milliamperes causes pain. Beyond 100 milliamperes can lead to nerve damage and skin peeling.

Two weeks later -

Rai's current capacity reached 25 milliamperes, and his goal was to withstand up to 50 milliamperes before the academy resumed.

One month later -

Rai successfully achieved his goal of reaching 50 milliamperes of lightning current. The only thing left for him to conquer were jutsu mastery and refinement.
