'In the long run conditioning my body with a slight focus on speed and stamina would most likely be for the best after all I've seen ninja running through the village faster than I could ever imagine running and that needs to change I need to be able to keep up with other ninjas,' I think to myself finally deciding how to spend my break.

'I don't have much else to do at the moment since both mother and father are gone so I may as well get started on training already,' I think as I finish my sandwich.

I activate my byakugan and get up and go to one of the less used Hyuga training grounds that was reserved only for the main branch on the outskirts of the compound.

I look around and see the familiar small grassy area with a few training dummies that each had three hundred and sixty-one dots on them exactly.

'The training dummies for the eight trigrams. I won't be using those today but maybe in the near future.'

"I should get warmed up before I start," I mutter to myself before going through several stretches that were taught at the academy to remove any muscle tension.

Once I'm done stretching I immediately start forming a plan on how I'm going to train my body.

'Thirty laps around the training ground one full sprint nothing held back every three laps. Five hundred push-ups, sit-ups and squats are followed by a one-hour swim through the clan's tiny lake on the other side of the compound. Doing that twice a day should be enough to increase my physicality by a bit before my break is over,' I think finalising my training plan.

With the aforementioned plan in mind, I get to work and begin on my thirty laps around the training field.

"Tetsuo," A familiar gruff voice calls out as I finish my final lap around the training ground which was a full sprint.

I turn my head to look at my father or his chakra system and an outline of his face that still had that regular frown from whenever he sees me and his body I should say.

"Yes, Father," I reply shortly and stoically, not a trace of emotion leaking into my voice.

"You most likely have been aware of this for a while but I thought it good to inform you in the unlikely case that you were unaware. Now that you are a genin you will be taught some of the main branches' techniques that are suitable for someone of your rank such as the revolving heavens and the eight trigrams thirty two palms technique, Your training begins the day after you meet your genin team," My father tells me before walking away without waiting as if he had just been speaking to air

I start to clench my fist in anger as I watched my father walk away.

'I swear the only reason for his existence is to irritate the life out of me. He acts like this every single time we speak just because I'm blind, He acts so dismissive of me because I'm his embarrassment, the blind son of the great Hyuga Tenzin.'

'Well you know what if he wants to be dismissive and rude to me than let him, I will rise way higher than he has and surpass him I swear i,' I swear to myself in anger at the way he brushed me off

I decide to just go back to training and to keep my father out of my mind after all he's not worth the thought power.

The one week break was honestly refreshing. If I had to describe it in one word.

'Training without needing to, actually being ahead of the curve, something about it was just so nice perhaps it was doing things at my own pace or perhaps it was the lack of expectations except but in the end that doesn't really matter, what matters is that I made progress, good progress.'

If anything had been improved by my training it was my speed, I was far faster than I had ever been before and I was most likely the fastest of my classmates in the academy now.

'The new genin teams are being revealed today in about ten minutes so I should probably get going,' I think to myself before leaving my house and beginning my walk to the academy, not bothering to say bye to either my mother or father.

Whilst walking towards the academy I see a familiar chakra pathway, not of a friend but one of my classmates who I'm kind of acquainted with.

'The dead last of my class Rock Lee huh, so he passed too. I guess us failures have a knack for surprising people.'

"Hello Tetsuo San! My fellow classmate we both became Genin and are continuing to fan our flames of youth," Rock Lee.

'I almost forgot he became so strange a few months ago, that was weirdly when his taijutsu scores went up too, also he was never able to use chakra, also how did he pass in the first place?'

"Hi Lee, if you don't mind me asking how did pass the genin exams? I know you did well on the taijutsu test but you can't use chakra so what happened?" I asked.

"I didn't do the ninjutsu ninjutsu exam, instead my Sensei Gai wanted to help me fan the flames of my youth and to truly enter the springtime of youth so he made me his apprentice in youth!

'What just happened? You know what I won't even bother thinking about the first part of his sentence. I'll just think about the end. How the hell did he get an apprenticeship from a Jonin I would've killed to get one.

Before I could give Lee a reply we were already at the gates of the academy

"All students coming to the academy for team placements please make it to your class as soon as possible so we can finish the team placements quicker and so that you have more time with your jonin Senseis.

After hearing that both me and Lee sped up slightly and make it to our academy classroom five-A.

When we enter the room the class is mostly there, the only empty seats my own and Lee's.

"Now that you two are here we can get started," Kota Sensei said, addressing both me and Lee.

I go and take a seat at the front row in the most outside seat.

"All of you who are seated here today are now genin of the leaf," Kota Sensei began, "Every single one of you should be proud of what you have achieved and how far you have come. I am proud of the Shinobi you have become and I wanted to let you all know that before I announced the genin teams. I will begin to announce them now."

"Team one Emiko Ikeda, Shinji and Tensei Yamaguchi, your jounin Sensei is Asuma Sarutobi."

"Team two Tetsuo Hyuga, Aya Yamanaka and Hitoshi Kurosaki Your jounin Sensei is Ichiro Hanto."

'So my teammates are Hitoshi and Aya huh, Hitoshi is one of my friends and he is good at ninjutsu so he's a decent teammate on the other hand Aya who I have barely interacted with but she seems to have some skill with Genjutsu and she is in the upper half of the class so she's not too bad. I suppose I'm happy with my team.'

"Team three Neji Hyuga, Rock Lee and Tenten Higurashi your jounin Sensei is Might Gai.

'That is a strong team. Neji is the rookie of the year and Tenten was the highest scoring kunoichi of this class, and while Lee may seem like a weak link he scores highly in taijutsu so he won't fall behind the rest.'

I didn't really care about the rest of the teams so I just zoned out until Kato Sensei said this.

"Some of your Sensei's are here already but some of you will have to wait a little longer," before opening the door.

The Sensei's walked in and called for their teams one at a time in the order that they came in eventually a very boring looking man called out.

"Team three you're with me," all three of us got up and went to our new Sensei, me and Hitoshi sharing a small look with each other as we walked over to him.

"You three follow me," He said before we left the academy and ended up at a pretty popular fried rice restaurant. The entire walk there was silent.

"You three can all take a seat, I'll order you all some food," Hanto our new Sensei said before going to the front desk.

"So Tetsuo, what do you think of our Sensei?" Hitoshi asked me once we had all sat down.

"He seems alright I guess, pretty quiet though," I reply.

"Yeah, he's only said about three sentences since we met him. Maybe he'll be more talkative once he comes back."

After that Hitoshi and I just started talking back and forth while Aya just remained quiet because neither of us spoke to her much before.

"Take what you like I got quite a lot of stuff since I didn't know your tastes when it comes to food," Hanto Sensei said once he had returned with a large tray filled with various different foods.

"Thank you Hanto Sensei, the food at this place looks good," I said being the first out of us to say anything to him.

"No problem, you are going to be my students for a while so it's good for us to start on a good note. Speaking of starts we may as well get introduced to to each other, you can say your name, your favourite food, your favourite thing to do and your dream for the future. You can start us off since you were the first to speak," Hanto Sensei said looking at me for the last sentence.

'What should I say for my introduction? This is my first time meeting my jounin Sensei and I don't want to leave a bad impression.'
