Naruto Online: The Strongest Shinobi

Michael, living in a dystopian world devastated by nuclear warfare, discovers a new VRMMORPG game called 'Elemental Nations.' Excited by the opportunity to escape his harsh reality, he purchases the Tier 1 headset and prepares to embark on an adventure. In his cramped living space, surrounded by the remnants of his previous life, Michael contemplates the hardships he and his family endure. The scarcity of resources and the confined conditions serve as constant reminders of the post-apocalyptic world they inhabit. As Michael watches the game's trailer, he recognizes familiar elements from the anime series Naruto. His passion for the show in his previous world fuels his excitement to explore this virtual rendition of the Naruto universe. However, in this new world, anime is not as popular, with people favoring slice-of-life stories over war-torn narratives. Equipped with the VR gear, Michael eagerly enters the game, expecting to unleash his knowledge of the Naruto world to become a powerful shinobi. The game's mechanics limit the number of players who can join as shinobi from the five great villages, adding a sense of exclusivity and competition to the experience. With the promise of potentially earning money through the game, Michael sees an opportunity to contribute to his family's welfare. Unemployment and limited opportunities in the real world have left him longing for a chance to make a difference. As the game servers go online, Michael finds himself transported to a new location, ready to embark on an extraordinary journey within the virtual world of Elemental Nations. Little does he know that this adventure will hold secrets, challenges, and the potential for him to become the hero he aspires to be.

Chapter 5: Beaten to a Pulp

Chapter 5: Beaten to a Pulp

"Let's see how good your Taijutsu is!" He said, as he appeared in front of me.

My instant reaction was to throw a punch right at his face, and my hand had instinctively moved toward him.

Our bodies in the game were already superhuman, however that had nothing on a Jounin.

*Boom*

Instantly, I felt as if a truck had hit my stomach and flew away from him.

"So even that is bad." He said.

As he said that, the other 2 had run out of the smoke and tried to hit him.

I had already told them before, to coordinate well.

And while we were getting punched around, we didn't feel the pain much, since our pain receptors were set to 10% by the game for safety reasons.

We could still just stand through it. At most, we felt like a light slap on us. While the force used on us would feel the same, the feeling of the pain would decrease.

I told the 2 of them to always focus on teamwork and just stand through till the end.

So even while we didn't know any ways to fight, we threw punches around at him until we could eventually hit him.

Which we weren't able to.

Eventually, he began to laugh like crazy as he saw us fall to the floor due to exhaustion.

[Your character in the game has fainted. You will receive a notification when your character is awake and you can resume playing.]

As I looked out of the headset, I could see only 15 minutes had passed.

So it was real, the time in the game moves 4 times faster. This way, people could live normal lives and also have frequent breaks when their in game character had to sleep.

I didn't know if we had passed the test or not, but I knew that we had tried whatever we could.

After that, I moved to my computer to see an explanation about the current situation of the game and how people couldn't make accounts for 3 months which meant the first generation had a year over the others.

I also saw one more notice.

[Only those of the first generation have the potential to become a Sage. No other generation has this chance.]

As I saw this, I had an idea of what they were talking about.

I could learn sage mode!

This was amazing, an advantage I had over others. The company didn't release any more information, probably since the AI that was making the game didn't give them any more information.

The internet was also going crazy.

[Kidslayer69: Apparently there are 5 main villages and a Samurai land…]

[Thefuckisthatusername: Yes, and there are also concrete rankings in the villages for Ninjas strengths. But man about your username…]

[Randomnoob12: Apparently it starts with Chunin and goes to Kage]

???

There was so much false information and some true ones that people would definitely be lost over it.

I decided to not think too much about it since it was not a me problem.

I also decided to revise all of the Naruto knowledge I know in my head.

I couldn't write it down since paper was not something everyone had here. I didn't have any markers or pens and typing anything into the computer with a super AI out there was asking for the game makers to meet me.

"Sir, Apollo just sent us the report for the current players." A worker said to his boss.

"What is it? Anything important."

"Yes sir…we don't know who, but someone got an S-Rank Legacy." The worker said.

"WHAT? In the first-generation?! APOLLO!" The man shouted to the screen in front of him, for a playful young blond figure to show up in front of him.

"Yes fat man?" He asked in a childish voice.

"I am not fat, you stupid AI!" The man refuted.

"Sure, you look fit." He said, before continuing," So Fit fat man, what do you want?"

The man regained his temper before asking, "To the CEO, you mentioned that in the First Generation no one would gain a legacy, yet for it to be balanced they would gain something called Sage powers. That was fine, but in this report it says someone got an S-Rank Legacy!"

"Ah that. Unfortunately that was not something I had predicted." Apollo said.

The man knew he wouldn't get any answers from the AI and thus just stopped his line of questioning.

"Fine, then you finish the report. How many people have gotten into these Jounin Squads? You mentioned it would change the plot of the world a lot." The man asked.

"Ah, that is for me to know. But overall, it is less than I had expected. Anyways, I have work to do Fat-Fit man so goodbye for now." Apollo said as he left the screen and left a raging fat man.
