Chapter 28: Team Naido with 2 extras
Naruto said he had to move off with Jiraiya that night itself, so after dinner he bid us farewell and left for his mission.
I gave some private time to Shikamaru so he could talk to his mother.
I had to remember, while being trained from a young age for this, every single of the genin here were children who had semi-normal lives.
"I found you!" I heard a familiar voice as he landed right before me.
Before me, was a young teen around my age with Bushy brows and a bright smile on his face while he was wearing a green spandex.
To be fair, I also wore the Spandex, but I just covered it with normal clothes so it was barely visible.
The buff was too good to let go.
"What's up Lee?"
"I just wanted to let you know I will be gone for a few months for a mission in the Hidden Rain and wanted to bid you farewell."
It was pretty normal for Lee to find me whenever he went for some long term missions to tell me that training with him wouldn't be possible.
"Right, so you're not coming to the defense against the Hidden Cloud with us."
"Yes, but fear not. I am sure that even without me you will do amazing."
I doubt that, having to defeat an Elite-Jounin in combat is going to be near impossible. Surviving in a war without being a Jonin rank shinobi might as well be a death sentence.
"Ah, Guy sensei also has a message. He said to not slack on your training since that is not how Youth should behave! Anyways, see you soon Shikomu." Lee said as he gave me a thumbs up and left.
It seems like everyone of the main characters were getting ready for their missions.
I wonder when my own sens-
"You're coming with me." I heard Naido-sensei's voice, as the Earth underneath me suddenly shot up and I was tossed into the air as he caught me.
"Yo." He greeted me as I was still confused about what was going on.
"Where are you taking me sensei?"
"To meet your new squad for a mission."
"New Squad?"
"Yes, we have 2 new people joining us.'
"And who are they?"
"Well they are people you are familiar with."
While we conversed, I was confused as to how he was able to stay in the air for so long but I didn't bother asking since I knew he wouldn't have replied to me anyways.
It didn't take long for us to be able to reach our normal training ground, where 4 people were already waiting for me.
Ayumi and Yuki were already there and were conversing with a pink haired kunoichi.
"Goddammit."I muttered out loud as both landed onto the ground.
I could also see the emo boy from the corner of my eyes as he was patiently waiting for us.
"Now that everyone is here I will begin the introduction to your new mission." Naido sensei instructed me as I joined the rest of the group.
"Wait a minute." Emo boy said as he walked in front of all of us and went up to Naido-sensei.
"Where is Kakashi? He asked us to come here but didn't show up."
"And Naruto is running late so we should probably wait for him." Sakura added.
"Naruto won't be joining us, he is going on his own mission." I told her to which Sasuke looked at me with annoyance. Probably at the thought of Naruto going for another mission.
"If you let me explain everything you will understand." Naido sensei said with patience in his voice.
He then pulled out a scroll from his Ninja bag and read outloud.
"We are tasked with going to the borders of the Land of Fire and blocking the initial assault of Shinobi from the Hidden Cloud." He read, to which Sasuke and Sakura's eyes shot up.
Yuki and Ayumi already knew about the war from the system, and thus were not surprised but it was obvious that Sakura and Sasuke had no idea.
"We need to reach there within 2 weeks. The estimated time of arrival of the Scouting party is 3 weeks. We need to set up a defensive formation and annihilate the scouting party. 28 other Jonin squads will be following us and Kakashi is the one commanding the first defensive formation."
"What do you mean Shinobi of the Hidden Cloud are approaching us?" Sakura asked, her voice shaking a little.
"Use your head idiot." Sasuke muttered, but even his voice was shaking.
"We are at war." Yuki said casually, with his head resting on his hands as he had a relaxed posture.
The players didn't really care at all.
"How are you so calm?" Sakura shot back.
She realized what it meant when Naido sensei mentioned the Cloud shinobi but her brain didn't want to accept the fact.
Naido sensei however, ignoring the conversation simply continued giving his instructions.
"Shikomu, in the chance that I am absent you will be the next in command of the squad, there is no guarantee I will be around you most of the time. I need you all to perform whatever you have trained for. This is the real world and not the academy anymore.
I know Sakura and Sasuke have had their first proper mission equivalent to an A-rank already, this will be as difficult or even more."
Sasuke seemed agitated at the fact that I was designated team leader if Naido-sensei was not present but he didn't really have a chance to say anything.
Ayumi and Yuki were the only ones here who didn't leave the Fire country for a proper mission yet so they didn't understand the standard of the true elite shinobi.
To be fair, of the 10 million coming towards us, most of them should be comprised of players, and it is time for me to see the level of normal players.
Did people actually grind their Jutsu's, or have they just rushed all the EXP they earn into their chakra and physique?
It was a good way for me to gauge where I am at in the world right about now.
"We move at dawn, prepare your tools and necessities as you deem fit. Sleeping quarters will be built by 100 of the Genin corps who have already moved out a while ago."
It made sense that Shinobi are already being deployed to set up tents and what not.
"You are all dismissed. Be back here at Dawn." Naido sensei said, and in his typical fashion flickered to the side of the training field and summoned a Buddha statue.
Now that I think about it, Yuki was also wearing a set of Buddha orbs around his neck, so Sensei really did convert someone.
Yuki then moved towards Sensei, who had a massive smile on his face as he stuck his nose up in pride, probably at the fact he got someone to become a Buddisht.
Ayumi for some reason decided to console Sakura who was on the verge of tears.
"Just because you are the team leader doesn't mean that I will listen to you." Sasuke said as he approached me with his hands in his pockets.
"That is totally up to you, deadweight is useless in my team anyway." The only way to talk to the emo lord was to act like you didn't want to talk to the emo lord.
"What is that supposed to mean, you bastard?"
"I mean what I said. I would rather have Naruto on my team than you."
"Tch," Sasuke scoffed, and decided to walk away from taunting me.
"Sensei." I called out as I approached him and Yuki.
"The Buddha is supreme because he is ever forgi-what is Shikomu?" He asked, seeming annoyed that I stopped his preaching session.

The main changes I had in the past 5 weeks were the 8 Gates. With it, I am capable of defeating a Jonin combatant.
With the 3rd Gate my physique takes a qualitative leap, and while I have a time limit, I can definitely beat an average Jonin with Guys Taijutsu.
Now I need a slight more variety in my Jutsu.
Summoning Jutsu for now is out of the window, I do not have the chakra to summon a beast that can help me in this war.
The Rasengan is an A-rank Jutsu, so even if I do unlock it, I might only be able to use it a handful of times before I can actually use it.
That being said, if the Rasengan hit someone, unless they were a Kage level Shinobi, it spelled death.
But for now, I decided against it. Mainly because I didn't know how to justify using the Rasengan. I will just wait till Naruto learns it and make him 'teach' it to me.
For now, there was a different way I could train.
"Is there a smarter way to use Ninja-wires?"
