Chapter 2: Elemental Nations

Everything around me was extremely dark and I seemed to be standing inside of an infinite expanse of void.

In the distance, some small other fragments of lights could be seen.

A voice resounded inside of my head.

I wasn't surprised since the Federation did take all of our data to input into the VR gear from Rangers Tech.

[Please begin your character creation. You only have 4 things to select. Everything else will be randomly generated.]

I nodded at that, and the screen then changed once again.

[Will you be playing as a Male or Female?]

I selected the Male option. Not to be rude or anything, but in the Naruto world, only Kaguya was strong, and even that was due to her inherent race's strength. Even Tsunade should be considered below average for a Hokage.

[Which Shinobi-Village would you like to begin in? There is a random option]

This was where I realized the first generation of the players would have to play due to luck. They had no knowledge of the game after all. The second generation onwards would know which village to join in.

"I would like to join the Village Hidden in the Leaves." I said out loud, as the games system registered my answer.

The reason I had picked it was fairly simple. While depending on the timeline, Danzo and the root did exist, I still knew the most about this village. I also knew major characters and ways to get stronger inside of this specific place. Any other player picking this location would be risky.

[Which clan would you like to be a part of?]

At this part, I didn't really have an answer. Since it really depended. I didn't know which timeline I was playing in. What if I picked the Uchiha clan and the game starts right before the massacre?

What if I pick the Uzamaki clan and then am hunted down by Orochimaru and the entire world.

I needed to be safe, and having a strong bloodline was not the only way to survive inside of the Naruto world.

And thus any decent bloodline like the Uchiha, Uzamaki or Senju is off limits, unless I wanted a massive target on my back.

I only had 2 real options this way.

Do I want the Byakugan and a potential cursed seal, or an extremely high Iq in the game…

I didn't know how the game would convert Iq for players who picked the Nara clan, but I guess I was going to find out.

I did not want to risk gaining a cursed seal in the game.

Neither did I need my powers to depend on a dog.

While mind reading was fun, it didn't have extremely high offensive capabilities against groups of people. It was more for interrogation.

"I would like to be a part of the Nara clan." I said.

If I wasn't wrong, the IQ inside of the game could help me a lot with the path of power I had in mind. Something unexplored a lot in Naruto's generation, yet probably having the most potential, right next to Senjutsu and tailed beasts modes.

[Lastly, if you're able to answer 1 question about the Naruto world, depending on the difficulty of the question, a special Jutsu may be purchased from the games shop.

I stared at the list for a little bit.

Other than the game designers, I knew the most inside of this entire game. Heck, according to the designers, more than half of the game was automatedly designed by an AI, so other than a computer, I knew the most about this world.

Everything had been going just like the Naruto world. The Village Hidden in the leaves, the Nara clan, Madara's existence in the 4th great ninja war…

While knowing this…I didn't want to risk getting the question wrong.

"I select the S-rank difficulty."

As I said that, the screen changed, showing me a question I was all too familiar with. To be honest, I could write a 100 mark essay on this very question.

[As the first batch of gamers are entering the game, we wish to inform the world that the next batch cannot join for the next 3 months into the Elemental Nations. Additionally, if someone does die in the game, they will have to wait till the next generation joins and get a completely random character.]
