Massacre...

Sitting cross legged in a tent with closed eyes, concentrating on something was Yokuma. He was currently in meditation, something which he devoted time to everyday. His progression from it had skyrocketed his time to unlock the two tomoe, even his thinking speed was abnormal.

Maybe this was why he made such a good decision in a short span of time. Meditation played a huge part in his daily life, allowing him to envision different scenarios and things that had happened. This included the dire experience he had just gone through.

Still, there were things in his mind that clouded him. It made him think about the people behind such a scheme, but he knew there was no point in thinking about such things. The person or people were definitely more powerful than him, it was expected after all and there was nothing he could do.

They simply had a goal: wanting the scroll, so Yokuma had no sort of feud with them. It was a simple plunder of war to get an advantage. Especially since that scroll most likely had information in there classified, but not too important to have experts guarding them.

Three chunins came after him, and there were most likely other people looking for them, because they were missing. So, on the path back, Yokuma knew there was a chance of enemies lurking.

This was why he decided to stay in this camp for more than two days, to avoid any risks. Right now, he has stayed overnight ever since he completed the mission yesterday.

Because he had nothing to do; he decided to go to the battlefield, honing his skills and earning merits. Yokuma had enough safety measures to ensure his survival in battle, just like he had shown in the forest. If there was no sensor in that team, Yokuma could have easily ran away without any distance gained on him. Speed was his specialty, and his senses were unique.

This time, as he arrived, he noticed the enemies were using puppets. Immediately, Yokuma recognised this was where the sand village was fighting. He had only fought the mist villages and stone villages shinobi in the other post. To him this was good since he could adapt to other fighting styles. Whether they used puppets, ninjutsu or genjutsu– countering every single style was necessary.

Quickly, he flickered toward a fighting group consisting of seven people. There were four on the enemy team and three for the others. Without them seeing, Yokuma slit two of their necks before the other two jumped back.

His allies, noticing this, flickered toward the others and finished one of them off. This left them with one, who immediately tried retreating, although, despairing as he got caught in Yokumas threads.

"Thank you," one of them said after he slit his neck.

He didn't reply and nodded before moving on to kill his next prey.

Meanwhile, somewhere near the Konoha border, two people stood near a couple of dead bodies. They consisted of leaf, iwa and sand shinobi. One of them held a shinobi up, snapping his neck as he threw him away.

"I'm sure the dog said that the guy's scent is somewhere near here," Sazike grimaced, it had been a full day and nothing.

For a whole day, they had been searching but for some reason, the dog was coming up short. It was only until recently, did the dog pick up the scent where they neared the battlefield. Except, there had to be hindrances in their path which they easily took care of.

"Mere chunin dare to group up on us," Sazike kicked a corpse out of anger. Then, he slapped the dog which went flying toward the tree, whimpering. This wasn't the first time he had done this more than ever because of this confusing loss of their team.

They expected to easily get the scroll delivered, meeting the team at a specific time. Because they were late, the pair had thought it was a minor setback. That was until the fishy scent situation came across.

Two scents couldn't just disappear out of nowhere, not unless they had died or covered their tracks extremely well. Which the two thought was obviously the latter. But now their intuition told them, there was a chance, it was something dire.

More time passed, and they both slaughtered their way through chunin and genin like butter. Right now they were even surrounded by a couple of chunin.

Sazike did hand seals and strangely, lightning was forming between his fingertips. Slowly, the sparks and electricity were forming into an arrow. All this happened in a matter of a second before the final result was formed. In each fingertip were kunais purely made of lightning, and beside him calmly stood Sauko with his arms folded.

The seven chunin weren't too fazed by this, and pushed forward. That was before Sazike flicked his hand, releasing all four kunai at once.

Fast!

Is what one of the chunin thought, hardly dodging it. But after he did, the kunai landed in a tree behind him.

-Boom!

Although not all were lucky enough to dodge it.

A large explosion consecutively sounded out four times, destroying the forest. The shinobi who dodged widened their eyes.

What kind of Jutsu was this?! Most trees in the vicinity had disappeared.

From this, they immediately knew…. They were no match.

Three of them were taken down easily, and the trees around them had been demolished. Sazike just stood there unfazed, instead this time Sauko released a jutsu.

[Water Release: Water Body Flicker Technique]

He disappeared!

-Thud

-Thud

-Thud

In the next second, three of them, each had a kunai stuck in their heads as they fell to the ground. Sauko could only be seen with a flicker when he did this, not even giving the enemy time to think.

All except one was alive, but he just fell to the floor, trembling at the sight of these two monsters.

"P-ple-"

Before he could speak, Sauko had slit his neck.

"Tch!" Sazike grunted.

"I knew we should have done the mission instead of leaving it to them idiots."

Seven chunin were destroyed in under a minute. The strength of these two were not to be underestimated, and seemingly from their appearance, they wore no headband. So, they were affiliated with no village.

They hadn't even broken a sweat from using jutsus, it seemed this was a cake walk for them.

-Bark!

In front of them, the dog just led them toward the direction of Yokumas scent. They immediately followed after shamelessly robbing the corpses.

Closer and closer they were toward the scent….
