27 Volume III: Bonding Time Chapter 27: Will Of Fire

Within five days we returned to the village and reported the findings to the Hokage, after hearing our report he told Shisui, "Shisui, I need you to get me Fugaku and Itachi in my office within an hour."

"Hai Hokage-sama."

"Yugao, I need you to go and inform Kakashi and the ANBU Commander to meet me in an hour."

"Hai Hokage-sama."

"And Bokuto. Inform Shinobi Council members to come to my office for a meeting."

"Hai Hokage-sama."

After getting our orders we went to do what we were told to do.

First and foremost I went to find my uncle, because if I find him then the remaining two of the trio will be with him.

And just as I had guessed, I found my uncle with Inoichi-san and Choza-san, in the Yakinu Q.

Seeing me there Inoichi-san said "Look at this, the youngest Nara Jonin is here, Shikaku."

"Mmmm." Uncle just hummed and looked at me and said "You just got back right?"

"Hai."

"Then go to the house, Shika is missing you." He said.

"Uncle, Inoichi-san, Choza-san. Hokage-sama is calling for a meeting. You have to be there within an hour." I told them.

"The last time there was a meeting like this it was about him, I don't know what this is about.... Troublesome." Uncle said.

"Then I'll be leaving, I need to inform the other clan heads."

"Sure, go ahead."

Nodding at him I left the place and went to the Inuzuka compound. When I reached there I saw Kiba with Akamaru playing in the front and Hana with her triplets ninja dog's watching him.

As she saw me she stood up from her seat and ran towards me. Reaching me she asked "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to see your mom, not you." Saying that I walked into the compound and saw Inuzuka Tsume coming out of the house and asked me "What is it?"

"Hokage-sama has called for a meeting in an hour. All the Ninja Council members have to be there in an hour." I told her.

"Alright, I'll be there."

After giving her the message I went to the other members of the Ninja Council and within fifteen minutes I finished my mission and went back to the Hokage office, to see Hiruzen sitting on his chair.

As he saw me, he said "Bokuto Nara, I believe you have done as I have ordered."

"Hai Hokage-sama."

"Good. It's about time.... " He didn't finish his sentence and left it in the air.

As the time was nearing for the start of the meeting, Hiruzen got up from his seat and donned the Hokage hat and walked towards the meeting room while saying "Come with me."

So I obliged and followed him.

As we entered the meeting room, all the members of the Ninja Council stood up to see Hokage.

As Hokage sat down at the head of the table he motioned everyone to sit. Looking at all of them he said "I've decided to select a new Hokage."

Hearing this, all of the people inside the meeting room were surprised.

Looking at their faces he continued "The reason I have decided to step down is because of the looming danger that is on Konoha. My old bones can't handle everything well, so I'll be in the front lines to defend the village, you can be sure about that."

"What do you mean by the threat of Hokage-sama?" Uncle asked.

"Uchiha Madara." A single name and the room descended into silence.

The one who broke the silence was Fugaku, who said "But wasn't he killed by the First?"

"He was. Lord Second was the one who buried Madara with Lord First. But after several years, the body of Uchiha Madara was missing from his resting place." Hokage said.

"That doesn't make any sense." Hiashi Hyuga said.

"Clan Head Fugaku, if you please." Hokage asked Fugaku.

"I won't delve deep into this matter, but I will tell you all one thing." Taking a deep breath, Fugaku continued "We have the power to rewrite reality. That's all."

"Thank you." The Hokage thanked the Uchiha Head and looking at the rest spoke "Uchiha clan can rewrite reality, that also means they have the power to bring themselves back from the dead, if they wished for. But it has limitations that are unknown to us."

Hearing this, all the Clan heads looked at the Uchiha Clan Head with a bit of fear.

Sighing, Hokage continued "The person who released the Kyubi and the reason for the death of the Fourth and his wife is a masked man who has a single Sharingan. But don't worry, he was not a person from our village, for now at least.

Anyway, he called himself Madara Uchiha in front of the Lord Fourth and also right now, we're assuming that the same man that attacked Konoha nine years ago, is controlling the Fourth Mizukage."

"What???" Well, this was a surprise to each of them, not understanding what was going on. They were about to go around like a headless chicken.

Shikaku Nara, the one who started to put one and two together said "Hokage-sama, so you're afraid that the masked man might also try to control you. Right?"

"Right. I'm afraid that I might be controlled by that man. So I've decided to Name Fugaku Uchiha as the fifth Hokage. Shisui if you would."

"Hai Hokage-sama."

Then looking at the clan heads, Shisui told them about the Mangekyou Sharingan, and its basic uses. And hearing that then Clan Heads sweat dropped, they couldn't believe that the Uchiha have the ability to control the tailed beasts with just their eyes.

Seeing this, Hokage spoke "Because of this reason, I will be recommending Fugaku Uchiha as the one who is suitable and also the one who can stop the masked man."

"Hokage-sama! I oppose that notion." Kuruma Clan Head said.

"We will discuss the matter within a week. I just informed you about the person who I will be recommending. And the reason is that only a Mangekyo Sharingan User can defeat another." Hokage said.

"Didn't Lord Fourth defeat one?" Hiashi said.

"He did. But, that was thanks to the FTG Jutsu and his enemy was trying to kill him that day. That masked man didn't try to control the fourth using his Mangekyo, because of that we still have our village. Imagine, I'm being controlled by that masked man just as the Mizukage is." Looking at the faces of all the Ninja Council members, who are ashen thinking that Lord Third is turning enemy. Even though he's an old man, he fought in three war's and still lived to tell the tale. That's an achievement itself.

Hiashi Hyuga who has been silent till now, said "Hokage-sama, I agree with your reasoning. But, you have to remember that the Uchiha wanted to rebel." Hearing this Fugaku was about to interject, but uncle's next words stopped him from speaking "Manipulated or not, you were the spearhead for it. Unless my nephew asked for your help, which he clearly didn't need, you would have taken weapons against Konoha. So I can't agree with Fugaku being the new Hokage."

"I second that." Kurama Clan Head agreed with Hiayshi.

"And as Hokage-sama said, we need a Mangekyo Sharingan wielder as the Hokage to battle against this person who calls himself Madara Uchiha." Saying that, Hiayshi looked at Shisui and continued "As the Clan Head of Hyuga Clan of Konoha, I would like to recommend Shisui Uchiha as the next Hokage. He has the will of fire that was passed down to him by his grandfather Kagami Uchiha, the only Uchiha member Lord Second took in his team with Lord Third and others."

"I agree with that." Fugaku said, surprising all of the present clan heads, as they thought that he won't give up since he got a chance.

"We tried to do a rebellion against the higher ups of the Konoha, and I was also part of it because of the clan elders, and I don't want to dump all my responsibility on the elders of the clan." Taking a deep breath he looked at Shisui and Itachi and said "Shisui Uchiha, grandson of Kagami Uchiha and my son Itachi, wanted to have peace between the village and the clan." Then looking at my uncle he asked "Tell me Shikaku, if your nephew, Bokuto Nara didn't interfere when Danzo was about to attack Shisui what would have happened?"

Now all the attention was on my uncle, including mine, because I'm half expecting him to say what happened in the manga.

Seeing this, uncle sighed and said "Troublesome..... " Then taking a deep breath he spoke "If, Bokuto didn't interfere, Danzo would have gotten Shishi's eyes or one eye, but Shisui would be still alive or at death's door, and as his close friend and the only other one who wanted peace between the village and their clan, in his opinion, Shisui will meet up with Itachi and share what had happened. And not to start a war because of him, Shisui would have committed suicide and in turn would pass his desire to protect both village and clan in Itachis hands. But, as Danzo is a cunning man, he would make a deal with Itachi, that would be the elimination of the Uchiha clan by Itachi's hand so that his brother could live."

'Well, that's the longest I've seen him speak about something other than shogi, booze.'

After uncle finished, Fugaku said "Shisui Uchiha is a man who I would like to recommend to the position of Hokage."
