19 Volume III: Bonding Time Chapter 19: Jonin

A week have passed since the execution of Danzo Shimura, along with that the Hokage relived the elders from the council and put them under observation, as the clan heads were suspicious about them collaborating with Danzo to do all of this.

The Root was disbanded and their members were appointed in to the ANBU under the direct command of Hiruzen. Some of the clans members returned to their clans after being free from Root and decided to live a normal life as a Ninja.

While Root was disbanded more information was got from their bases. Several missions taken by the Senju clam members and the Uchiha clan members has been leaked by Danzo to other villages, and also in some cases he even sent some Root agents to kill Konohas Ninjas. The missing children from the orphanages in Konoha and nearby villages has been proven to be done by Danzo, so that he could get free Root agents.

Two days after the execution of Danzo, Fugaku called me to his house and there I was met with Itachi and Shisui who wanted some explanation. So I told them how I met Fugaku and made deal with him. The deal was simple, if I could remove the suppression from the higher ups of the Village, Fugaku would convince the Uchiha clan as a whole and make peace with it. And it was a success, because after Danzo's execution the Hokage arranged a meeting with the Uchiha clan and first he apologized to them for their suppression, then he congratulated Fugaku and the other Konoha Police officers for helping in finding the evidence and arresting a traitor of the village. The ones who came with Fugaku when Shisui was attacked was the clan members who didn't want to rebel against the village. Thanks to this the Uchiha clan started to go back to the way they were, but still there were some extremist who wanted to rebel. But those clam members were taken care by Shisui, who convinced them with his Dojutsu.

When I went to Fugaku's home, I met Sasuke and Mikoto. Sasuke looked cute to be honest and Mikoto was a good mother and wife, I could see that from their family dynamics. Also, now I'm some kind of honorary member of their clan, as it was thanks to me that their oppression was removed.

Right now I'm standing in front of the Shinobi Council again. All of the Clan Heads are present here, and Tsunade who I thought left the village after finding out about the things done by Danzo was sitting right besides Hiruzen.

As the last member of the council, my uncle, who is the laziest Nara now entered, Hiruzen started to speak.

"Bokuto Nara, you stared an investigation on your own and found a traitor in our midst. I congratulate you on that." The clan heads nodded at that, seemingly agreeing with Hiruzen.

"But, you acted alone, without consulting with me the Hokage, who you directly serve as the ANBU member. Because of that, you will be removed from the ANBU effectively." Hearing this the clan heads looked at Hiruzen in surprise.

Hiashi who have known that it was me who saved Hinata from being kidnapped asked "Hokage-sama, isn't it best to let him be in ANBU, so that he could.."

"I know what you're trying to say. But this is my final decision." Them looking at me he said "So Bokuto, hand over your mask and uniform to your captain."

As he said that Kakashi came out of the shadow, so I handed him over my uniform and mask. While taking it from me he spoke to me "Thank you for finding out the cause of my father's suicide."

I nodded at him.

After that was done Hiruzen spoke again "As you have shown stellar performance in the ANBU, and also based on your recent finding of the traitor in our midst, I nominate you to be promoted as a Jonin of Konoha."

When he said that the Clan heads had smile on their face. Looking at them Hiruzen asked "Is there anyone who think that he's not suitable to be Jonin of Konoha?"

"No Hokage-sama." They replied in unison.

"Good. Then this is it for the meeting, everyone can leave. And Bokuto stay."

As he ordered, the clan heads left the meeting room, after congratulating me. Inoichi, Choza patted on my shoulder with a smile that said 'You need to treat us.'

As everyone left the room, there was only Hiruzen, Tsunade, uncle and me in the room. Confused about this situation I looked at uncle.

Seeing my look he spoke "You have been asking about your mother and father for the past several years, and I promised you that I will tell you when you became a Jonin."

'Well that's a surprise, I didn't think that he will tell me in from the of the Hokage and Tsunade.'

But before my thought process could go wild uncle spoke "Your mother, as I have said is my elder sister. Her name is Mayumi Nara, she was known to the other villages as Shadow Sword of Konoha. She was not famous like Sakumo-san, but her name was enough to instil fear in some of the enemy ninjas. The sword you're using. It's a gift from your mother, I think that I have told you about that. Anyway, as you know she died during childbirth. The doctors told her that she won't survive of she gave birth to you, but she just said that if they tried to take away her baby from her, she will cut them in to pieces." With a sad smile he continued "The last thing she asked me to do before she died was to take care of you and to let you do what you wish to do."

Then he gave me some time to understand what he have told me till now. Sighing at that I prayed 'I hope she has a good second life now, and to be happy wherever she is.'

"Are you okay, Bokuto?" Uncle asked me.

"Yes, quite all right." I replied.

"Then, about your father, it's confidential. Only me and the Hokage knows about him." As he said that the Hokage gave signal to the ANBU to leave the room and he activated the privacy seals in the room so that no one will know what is going on here.

Seeing all this I thought 'All of this to say about my father?'

After that was done Hiruzen was the one to speak first "You're father's name was Itama."

"Was? So he's also dead?" I asked. I had hoped that he will be alive.

Suddenly Tsunade spoke "Who are you saying his father is again?"

So I looked at her, 'So she knows about my father?'

Looking at her Hiruzen said "The same one you're thinking about." Then looking at me he continued "Bokuto, is the son of Itama Senju, and grandson of Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage. He is the last living male Senju in this world."

"What???!!!" I asked in surprise and shock, not at the fact that I am a Senju, but at the case were Tobirama had a son.
