Chapter-67

"Young Bakugo!" All Might jumped up from his seat, muscles bulging. But it was too late to interfere. Midnight and Cementoss reacted too slowly. They were the closest to the shinobi among the students, and their anxiety grew.

A powerful explosion rocked the stadium's foundations, sending debris flying in every direction. Luckily, Cementoss quickly raised concrete walls that barely managed to block the flying projectiles. Over half of the platform disintegrated, and Bakugo was flung back due to the sheer force of the explosion.

Struggling to hold on to the platform's edge, Katsuki could barely move his arms. He had pushed himself to the limit, risking his ability to use his arms after that fall. But he believed it was worth it. With a smug grin, he managed to get to his feet and relished the destruction he had caused.

"Is that it?" This question echoed in Bakugo's mind as he saw the shinobi approach through the lingering dust. The shinobi was injured but undeterred, displaying no signs of pain as he advanced.

"Damned!" In despair, Katsuki tried to move his arms, but they remained unresponsive and trembling uncontrollably. Looking up again, he froze when he saw the Uzumaki standing before him.

"Ahg!" Growling, he watched as his opponent's hand reached for his neck, lifting him off the ground, suspending him in the air. "How can he still stand? Just go down already!"

Naruto, unfazed by Katsuki's biting and drawing blood, asked, "Do you want to keep fighting that badly?" He released the boy, only to seize one of his ankles and ruthlessly slam him into the ground repeatedly. Each brutal strike resulted in cracked bones and countless bruises. Naruto stopped his attack, lifting the battered Bakugo, who was barely conscious.

"Is it enough?" With a dark smile, the blonde held him aloft.

"No-o!" The boy growled, despite the pain coursing through his body and the struggle to catch his breath. Midnight, observing, refrained from intervening. It felt unjust to halt the Uzumaki after Bakugo's relentless attacks.

"A will of steel?" Naruto questioned, releasing his opponent, who collapsed to the ground. Nonetheless, Bakugo persevered in his effort to stand. A swift kick to the stomach sent him sliding painfully through the debris. Naruto then approached and placed his foot on Bakugo's head. The crowd, now horrified, cried out for them to stop.

"Stop him!"

"He's going to kill him!"

"They have to halt this brutality!"

The spectators' screams echoed around them. They understood that the shinobi was relentless, but this had turned into something torturous, fueling anger among the students witnessing Bakugo's torment.

"Ahhhhh!" Bakugo's anguished cry filled the air as he endured the pressure of Naruto's foot on his head.

"Midoriya told me about you. Everyone hailed you as a genius with a bright future. But look at you now," Naruto taunted, increasing the pressure with his foot, intensifying Bakugo's suffering. "You boasted that you wouldn't lose, but here you are..."

Naruto eased off Bakugo's head, watching as the boy fought to stand.

"Shut your damn mouth," Bakugo, blood streaming down from his head, refused to surrender. He remained determined to win, and with a laborious breath, he raised his arms to once again point them at Naruto. The spectators watched, horrified by the brutality unfolding before their eyes.

"You think you're the best, from the moment you wake up you feel like a winner, don't you?" That question only earned the ire of the explosive blonde who was forcing his quirk to work, but without any success, "What good is natural talent? Being a genius? If you don't work hard every day of your damn life to improve…you will only achieve failure..." giving a heavy sigh the shinobi looked around, everyone was insulting him or encouraging Bakugo so that he would win.

"…" Katsuki, who could barely stand, saw how the shinobi was turning his back on him to leave.

"I quit" that simple word shocked everyone present, but without a doubt the most affected was Bakugo.

"That?!" He asked angrily, How could she just give up? Was he feeling sorry for her? Him? gritting his teeth in fury, he watched as the Uzumaki left the platform, his back turned to him as he was leaving, "How do you give up?! Why are you running away?!" He shouted furiously, looking at the back of the Uzumaki who had stopped.

"I'm not running away, I'm just giving up a pointless battle, the only reason I didn't give up sooner was because I wanted to see how much competition they could give me, but I was wrong, this was just a waste of time," he sighed. Uzumaki saw the looks that everyone was giving them, although others seemed happy at this result, how hypocritical, "If I defeat you now, people will be outraged that someone like 'Me' wins first place, that a murderer, a madman and a monster like me to win a tournament that is to see who is the best 'hero', it would be counterproductive for the most renowned academy for heroes to allow this, don't you think?" He asked calmly as he turned around to continue walking at the exit of the stadium, "Congratulations Bakugo, you won only because the system and way of thinking of society wants it that way..." the Uzumaki's footsteps were the only sound that could be heard throughout. the stadium as he left the stadium.
