If Mist exposed Hiruzen being under genjutsu for all his tenure, Konoha's reputation would plummet.

Mizuki knew the old man made his choice, he might not like this choice, but it was something the old man did by himself.

Betraying Mizuki now, had put him in a very critical state of mind, in which his will to save him was fighting against decades of genjutsu manipulation, Tsunade's outburst only served to magnify his inability to choose.

Mizuki kept quiet, as he watched Hokage breathe his last, this was the respect the old man deserved, he went out the way he wanted, he was no longer bound as he died.

He broke the shackles of his fate by sheer willpower, after all these years, he was finally free.

' You took a decision by yourself Hokage sama, and you did this for me, the least I could do is see you off. '

Getting up from the bed, Mizuki stood up, as he his eyes sharpened.

Mizuki's entire aura changed and his eyes took on a blue glow.

The glow was so intense that it felt as if peering into natural lightining, his hair began fluttering as his muscles pumped up.

Mizuki for the first time in his life, had went into super sage mode.

A concept he had created using the inspiration of fighting with Yagura, derived from tailed beast cloak.

' Overflowing my body with sage chakra, this is my strongest form. '

Mizuki was about the achive a miraculous feat, that had been done in the series only once.

He will copy Obito, and teleport to afterlife.

' If his Kamui could do it, so can my flying thunder god, barriers of life can't stand against a super sage. '

Kamui had Obito return from afterlife to Kakashi, and teleport back to afterlife after his job was done.

' I know Hiruzen's chakra signature, I can locate him anywhere, anytime, even after death. '

So, old man, I am coming, you must have a lot to talk about.

A/N

Hiruzen struggling to achieve freedom after a lifetime of imprisonment and forced concessions is the best ending he could have gotten, Neji would be proud.

And so, for his sake, today's chapter will be only his end, no further events will be shown.
