Painful defeat

" Mizuki kun- "

Mizuki's response to Hiruzen was vanishing in place.

Not expecting the sudden assault Hiruzen had time to only widen his eyes as a teleporting Mizuki appeared behind the third, not wasting another second, he slashed the spinning fuma cleanly, in a matter of seconds it ripped through the third Hokage, sending blood splashing as his body stumbled down with a thud.

Eyes widened The Third Hokage looked at Mizuki with shock, but Mizuki paid him no heed at all, he still looked on with a smile and curiousity on his face.

A curiousity that most would find morbid in such a situation, and the academy students indeed did as they started going into hysteria, Anko pursed her mouth and jumped within the crowd of genins as she quickly and efficiently knocked the most scared ones out.

" What are you doing?! Are you out of your mind! Go help Hokage sama! Don't take your petty revenge now of all times! "

Yelled Ino as she was trying to work her brain hard to think of a way to get themselves and Mizuki sensei out of trouble, and now this piece of shit woman comes to take revenge out of nowhere, why now of all times!

* Bam *

" Aah! "

Ino panicked as Anko knocked her head with a punch.

" Settle down fangirl. Your Mizuki sensei and Hokage sama are just fine, look. "

Many murmers were happening, but only three people were keeping their wits, one was Shikamaru who was in his thinking mode, one was Sasuke who tagged along to see a Jonin's strength, he was closing his fist very tightly acting as if he is too far behind his goal or something, and surprisingly the last one was Naruto, who was grinning widely, he had developed his battle sense with Mizuki for a while now, seeing through things like this was easy for him.

Suddenly the ground burst apart.

Out of the ground, two hands dug themselves out and grabbed onto Mizuki's legs, who before he could react was pulled directly into the ground.

Turning his head, Mizuki was still smiling at the Hokage, who was currently coming out of the ground as the earth itself was melting beneath him, he then looked back at the supposed dead Hiruzen.

* Poof *

All the blood and body of Hiruzen simply vanished in a puff of smoke as it turned into a piece of wood, cut from the middle.

" Mizuki kun, you shouldn't let yourself be caught like that, if you can only do so much I am afraid I can't give you the Jonin promotion "

Mizuki didn't look offended in the slightest.

Giving Hokage a big smile, he whispered softly.

" Kai. "

* Shsssh *

As soon as he heard the slight sound, Hokage's eyes narrowed, he quickly went through a series of handsigns in a few seconds.

" Earth style mud wall- "

Mizuki went up in flames with a loud booming noise, last thing Anko had seen was the silently burning exploding tags stuck behind Mizuki's flack jacket.

As the smoke cleared the wall of earth slowly crumbled, having taken heavy damage from Mizuki blowing up so close.

' That was way too close and well timed, a slower reaction time than this would be fatal. '

Hokage was sweating slightly,

as he came out from behind the wall, he saw the damage done to the surroundings, which caused his lips to twitch into smile.

" When? "

Asked Hokage as Mizuki came out from behind the tree Anko was sitting on, greatly thrilling her and surprising Hiruzen.

Hiruzen smiled approvingly, he knew Mizuki's feats of grabbing the speeding fuma shuriken was even more impressive if he did that just as a shadow clone.

Mizuki was getting a feeling he was onto something, a big mystery of the Naruto series was the third Hokage's actions, they never made much sense without considering the Thrid was a corrupt politician. So Mizuki had too went with that route of thinking before, but that was obviously not the case here.

Out of the blue, Mizuki quietly remembered a name.

' Yagura '

Shaking his head, Mizuki decided to end his battle with the third Hokage.

He had just shown his only other Justu besides the academy three and body flicker.

' Shadow clone, I must thank you Tanzo san...! '

Mizuki smiled remembering the free ninjutsu the distributor had given out to placate him.

That was the shadow clone, the regular one, not the multiple one was that was a forbidden technique.

Besides sage mode this was the only other thing Mizuki had researched throroughly.

Hiruzen smirked as he saw Mizuki coming back towards him.

He was fighting mostly Taijutsu until now because as he could see, Mizuki was a Taijutsu oriented Ninja.

But he was known as the ninjutsu professor, not Taijutsu.

Hokage decided to attack on his own accord now, with his Sarutobi clan's speciality.

" Fire style - "

Mizuki simply tuned him out as he knew his time to gracefully lose has come, now that the Hokage has seen enough and started using his speciality ninjutsu.

' Can I defeat him, ofcourse I can, one sage mode enhancement and I am good to go, but will I defeat him like this? '

Mizuki hid behind his giant spinning fuma shuriken as the sea of fire rushed towards him and was subsequently getting scattered all around him, as his shuriken blade stood like a wall, it's spinning blades cutting through the justu heading straight for Mizuki. As he himself was safe and sound behind it.

' I am about to lose.. heh. '

Mizuki could easily sense a staff extending through the cover of the sea of fire towards him. The monkey King was summoned as he hid behind his cover.

Mizuki was hit hard through his defence, as if it didn't even matter.

He spit out blood as he was dragged through the ground on top of the staff.

* Crash *

* Aak *

He was stopped as he crashed into a tree full force, the adamantine staff carrying him while pushing his stomach before, now dug into it even more thoroughly. Now that all that power had nowhere to go, his back being blocked by a tree.

* Crack *

Anko didn't know if that sickening crack was from the tree or Mizuki's bones. Maybe both. Well she will just have to nurse him back to health it would seem! Yes, she will nurse him back to health nicely. Hehehe.

As Anko was again having one of her creepy internal moments, Mizuki finally slid down as monkey King Enma became shorter and then vanished with a poof.

" Aah that hurts..."

Mizuki had to praise the Hokage, The adamantine staff had extended smoothly through his spinning fuma shuriken defence, not because it had destroyed it, but because Hiruzen had aimed it perfectly, instead to hitting the bladed spinning wall, it instead went right through the hole in the middle! The one used to hold onto the shuriken as it spins.

Did Mizuki know this obviously glaring hole in the very centre of his defence? Of course he did, but normally ninjutsu won't ever reach him as his blades will cut right through it, as it did to the sea of flames. And Taijutsu won't have the chance to reach him because he was just that damn fast.

That's what should have happened if not for one thing, Hokage created the sea of fire for this very reason, to surround Mizuki in fames so he can't use his speed to get away and is forced to sit in the only safe place, behind his shield. After all, all around are flames! How can he attempt to flicker away!

' Then he simply compromised my only defence, my shield. How clever. '

Mizuki definitely could still do something about it even without going into sage mode, but simply didn't, this was a good way to lose, painful but good. He has shown enough and he will qualify for Jonin. That is all that matters. He will leave showing off to the system users.

"... Well, it seems like the assessment is over. "

Hokage lightly commented, Mizuki while contemplating his defeat, he was outwardly attempting to get up and was struggling to do so, Hokage had let him give it a shot, but decided to call it quits as he could see Mizuki was hurt pretty bad.

" Mizuki san! Are you okay?? Come on I'll bring you to the hospital! "

Anko swiftly jumped down as soon as the Hokage gave his order to stop, she was about to take Mizuki and get him fixed, all on her own!

Giving Mizuki's fanbase attempting to rescue him as well a mocking laugh, Anko quickly chased after Mizuki who meanwhile was walking away on his own. She wasn't about to let this golden opportunity go to waste!
