Chapter 15: Not Like This!

Six months after the defeat of the Three Clan Alliance

'I'm now eight year old'

Currently Ritsu was training with Ena in the early morning

At a distance Takao was watching them train.

Takao admires and follows them all the time, well it's to be expected when no other child from the clan or the cursed servant wished to be near him.

We were training in the courtyard of the original Fuji Clanhead's house, the courtyard was spacious and was at least three times the space floor of Ritsu's original house.

'The house was even bigger, too big in fact so we just had servants take up quarters in the spare rooms.

The houses built in the Fuji Clan are truly merchant-like, always extravagant and spacious.

Though it didn't matter, this will be a temporary dwelling, our true home won't be finalized till a decade.

For now though, we simply need to increase our numbers, the quality of our shinobi, our financial problems, and finally we will need some subordinate clans.'

Lost in thoughts Ritsu was casually avoiding Ena's punches that she threw so she would get his attention.

However a punch landed on his chest prompting Ena to pull her following punches.

She saw her brother's head toward a direction.

Putting her concentration and chakra towards that direction she notices two figures coming in their direction.

"Ena you still have a lot to learn if you couldn't tell of their presence before me."

Ritsu admonished his sister after all what good is an S-rank sensor if you are the one who feels the enemies approaching first.

Ena pouted at the nagging of her brother, she simply had lost concentration of her surrounding for a while,

'It's not my fault you weren't paying any attention to me.'

Ritsu and Ena knew who was coming their way, Ena grumbled as she turned her head away refusing to meet the person.

Ritsu simply smiled and chuckled at his sister's reaction as he waited to greet the people coming to him.

It wasn't long before the two people came out of Clanhead's residence into the courtyard.

It was a beautifully shaped woman, clearly taller than Ritsu, her above average giving a motherly atmosphere to those who see her.

The shinobi besides her was her bodyguard. He had broad shoulders, black hair, black eyes, tanned skin, a slim but rather dense figure, his eyes brimming with satisfaction.

Taking a look at his second mother, and his uncle Ritsu smiled,

"Hello Second mother, Uncle I hope your day has been great. Now I wonder what brought you guys here?"

—------------------------

After Ritsu had teleported the Karatachi Clan members he gathered the cursed shinobi to fulfill his promise.

Ritsu was eyeing a group of people.

They were the cursed shinobi who had attacked the Toru and Fuji clan at the forefront.

For a good reason too, after all Ritsu promised for ten heads he would allow them a duel.

A chance to kill the owner of the cursed seals, thus freeing them, or free themselves or someone else of their choice.

Ritsu's eyes were particularly drawn to a shinobi as he had a big bag over his shoulder.

His bag was the biggest of all the shinobi amongst the crowd.

This shinobi was initially the shinobi who grasped at the straws of hope that by bringing ten enemy heads he could free himself or a family member.

Those who held a good majority or had surplus of heads gave them to other clan members after they negotiated.

Almost everyone who had gathered ten heads had all given their share to the strongest shinobi of their clan.

Ritsu could see the reasoning as to why they did such a thing after all most of the shinobi were knocked out by the toxin or were so intoxicated that they couldn't move.

Those shinobi were promptly captured or knocked out.

Ritsu fought each and everyone one of those fools who decided to exchange for a chance to duel him.

Ritsu fought them in one on one duels back to back with no breaks in between until they reached a point that after the seventh match people stopped using the exchange to fight Ritsu and instead asked to free a family member.

There was even one that asked for himself to be free which earned looks of disappointment from his clan members as he walked out from the compound.

The last of them was Jun, the shinobi with the most kills

Compared to the rest of the shinobi's he held the most with twelve heads and a captured shinobi.

He risked his life for every kill as evident by the many bandages throughout his body, in fact his left hand was missing the ring finger and pinky.

According to reports from a Karatachi Clan member he received an inch gut cut as he tried to forcefully capture the shinobi alive.

The man was evidently a sis-con as he doted on his sister a lot doing his chores and the chores his sister was supposed to do when she was still a servant.

As Ritsu was going to unseal her, she started to argue with her brother that he should be the one unsealed than her since he earned it.

Etcetera, and a couple minutes later Ritsu was annoyed by their arguing.

Although annoyed, Ritsu appreciated the love they had for each other as siblings.

Such a strong bond, which piqued Ritsu's, caused him to inspect her with his ability and although lacking, Ritsu recalled that genetics don't matter because they will cause a mutation somewhere in the future.

So Ritsu released his aura causing both siblings to shut their mouths as they felt the overbearing aura.

They felt suffocated, so much pressure was on them.

"I've had enough of your arguing," Ritsu grabbed his head as he massaged it.

The cursed servants watching were amused that a small child was acting like an elder.

"It's clear as day that you won't be able to decide which one will be freed. Blood is thick after all.

So I have this proposition for you madam. Marry my father, you'll be released and your brother will be released.

He will be made an honorary clan member till he marries a member from our clan."

Rie was stunned by such a proposal, she looked at her brother and was met with his frozen expression.

She moved him however she couldn't wake him from his stupor.

However seconds later blood started to drip from his nose as he started to make a goofy love face.

Embarrassed by her brother, she planned to smack him but held her hand.

She was saddened, her brother always wanted to get married and have a family.

He always wanted to have children, however, their situation in the clan wasn't great so no one was willing to marry their daughter to her brother.

Losing both parents at a young age caused them to be ostracized among the people from the same age.

There was no unity in their clan; they learned to support one another and care for another, she had to do odd jobs from a young age so she and her brother could eat.

Things were slightly better after Jun reached adulthood.

The reason she argued with her brother was that she wanted him to go and get settled at a random town away from all the fighting and settle down with a civilian woman, accomplishing his dream of having a family.

But her brother was stubborn, a fool, he was naive, she knew better that bringing ten heads in exchange for freedom was a lie.

After all who would let there enemies roam free.

But if by some chance, the boy was serious or her brother managed to escape then he could at least.. At least carry hope.

But now the child gave her a deal.

She would have to sacrifice her body in exchange for having her and her brother 'free' and still be together.

However, they would be in the palm of this child, they would be in the home of their attackers.

Dispersing Rie from her thoughts Ritsu continued to tempt her, "Both of you will be free from the seal all if you marry my father, from that point on as long as you stay loyal to the clan you are my family, both of you.

And no one lays a hand on my family.

You and your brother will be together; there will be no seal that the other clan member can use on you.

He and his family won't have to worry about others insulting them; after all his sister is the second wife of the Clan head."

Rie face was solemn but quickly replaced a determine faced,

'Do I even have a choice?'

"Very well–ugh"

"Just call me son or Ryu whichever you find more comfortable. As for you I will call you my second mother."

—---------------------------

"Ritsu, can't I just visit my children?"replied Rie as she hugged Takao, squishing him like a teddy bear.

Ritsu looked as his brother was squished against the melons of his second mother as he struggled to get free.

Which prompted Ena to free her younger sibling who was suffocating.

"Let him go, Demoness!" gritted Ena

"Ena, that's not what you should call your mother." pouted Rie as she and Ena playfully tugged Takao back and forth between them.

Seeing such a scene Ritsu was glad that the initial tension between his family and the two new wives of his father was no longer present.

The third woman his father married was a rather plump lady who had yet to marry and was in her mid twenties, it took Nao a while to convince her to marry him.

The reason she was chosen was because of Ritsu's insistence, although Nao was slightly reluctant as her appearance wasn't the most charming.

Though over time Nao grew to admire her character and dedication.

Although the third mother, Nana, was not the best in chakra reserves, her ability of management, and elemental affinities should hopefully pass on.

Now with Tamami knowing what is going on within the clan through the housewives,

Rie easing the tension between the servants and the Karatachi clan,

And Nana helping Nao with the management of the businesses in Torogawa.

The Clan was growing prosperous.

Conflicts were dealt with before they escalated.

It was awkward at first but over time his mother and sister opened up to the new wives.

His father was shy however, prompted to lead the clan by example he courted them, flirted, and spent time with the new wives where the clan members could see.

At first the rumors spread through the clan that Nao had let the success of wiping the three clan alliance get to his head.

Luckily Tamami, Ritsu's mother, shot down any nasty rumors.

'Now that the clan is prospering we are too few in numbers, as the clan head it's his job to grow the clan.

We lost many through the battles, its time for prosperity.'

Ritsu, recalling her words, worried for his future.

His eyes trailed his body and his sisters.

There was a year and some months between them however, it seemed his sister was going to pass him in height.

'How was he going to do his job as a clan head?'

But those thought were shot down as he recalled his objective,

'I won't be leading the clan in the future.'

He dodged to the left as he felt a hand going towards his cheeks.

However just as he thought he dodged the hand, it quickly changed direction as it pinched his left cheek.

"No matter how times I see you and those cheeks filled with baby fat I can't help but pinch them."

Hearing the voice, Ritsu had a shiver go down his spine as he dreaded getting pinched by Nana as she had a strong vice grip.

Along with the fact that he can't sense her or dodge, he felt helpless.

'He was a trained shinobi, had excellent talent, yet he can't sense her or dodge her hands.

She wasn't even trained!'

He held the hand of Nana attempting to pry them off, "Nana what are you doing here?

I thought you were helping father manage the businesses?" muffled Ritsu, though Nana heard him clearly.

"I was, however, there was something, that Nao wanted to discuss with you so I decided to take a little break as I went to find you."

"Nonsense, you just wanted to pinch my cheeks!!"

"You're right Ritsu, oh how I love having you as my son, come here," said Nana as she dragged Ritsu towards her for a hug.

As Ritsu was dragged by his cheek towards Nana bosom, felt fear as he recalled the first time he met Nana.

It was her iconic bear hug, he swore that day he heard his back crack.

Although just a few moments earlier he wished to suffer the fate as Takao, he didn't want it to be done by Nana.

'Not like this!'

Dear Readers,

I need your help to answer the following:

How much should a town make? I just assumed the town closer to the Land of Fire to be more prosperous. Small, Medium, and Large make, 1 million, 4-5 million, 10+million, respectively, this is the base, and it will increase or decrease because of it's location.

For example if the town is outside the border of Land of Fire, and has a commodity not found anywhere else, then it will easily be a trading hub raking 5-7 million more on top of the Base salary. Yes or no?

Another topic I want to breach is regarding Clan size, I wasn't explicit with the Three Clans.

But just how big is a Small, Medium, and Large clan, I like to believe that it should be 500, 1000, and 2000+. Also how much should the population of a town be should their size determine the same amount of people as the clan.

For example if they are in a small town then their population would only be 500?

Sincerely,

OhMyGod
