Chapter 12: Encounter with Uchiha Shisui
Konoha is known for its lush greenery, with plants covering a significant portion of the village, making it a city built within a forest. Tetsuya strolled through the forest on the edge of Konoha, a handful of kunai in hand, his eyes darting around in search of any signs of wildlife.
Just yesterday, a thought struck him: while healing humans granted attribute points, what about healing animals? He first experimented with fish from the market, but the system did not respond. Perhaps, he reasoned, fish were too weak to provide attribute points. Determined to test his hypothesis further, Tetsuya ventured into the forest to find more substantial subjects.
Konoha's surrounding forests are home to various beasts, often kept in check by ninjas to maintain ecological balance and provide combat training for Genin and Chūnin during peacetime.
A roar broke the forest's silence, drawing Tetsuya's attention to a giant bear. He smiled, impressed by his luck. The bear, seeing Tetsuya, roared and charged, its massive paw aimed to crush him. Without flinching, Tetsuya activated the Body Flicker Technique, disappearing just as the bear's paw descended.
"Stupid bear, I'm behind you," Tetsuya's lazy voice taunted. He delivered a swift kick to the bear, sending it crashing into a tree. The giant bear struggled to rise, but Tetsuya ended its resistance with two powerful punches, knocking it out.
Tetsuya quickly inflicted two shallow wounds on the bear and activated his healing technique. The green glow of his Chakra enveloped the bear, and the wounds disappeared.
"Heal a beast and gain +1.3 constitution."
Tetsuya beamed with satisfaction. His guess was correct; healing non-humans could also grant attribute points, particularly the much-needed constitution. With the forest's beasts at his disposal, he could significantly boost his physical strength.
Leaving the unconscious bear, Tetsuya continued his search, healing three more bears and two wild boars by the afternoon. Just as he was about to head home, he sensed a presence and instinctively threw a kunai towards a nearby tree.
A figure appeared, effortlessly deflecting the kunai. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to spy on your training. I was just worried about a young child like you encountering danger," the man said sincerely.
Tetsuya recognized him immediately—the renowned Uchiha Shisui, famed for his mastery of illusion and exceptional speed.
"Senior, there's no need for apologies. This is just ordinary training," Tetsuya replied calmly, not wanting to provoke Shisui.
Shisui relaxed, appreciating Tetsuya's understanding. It was indeed impolite to observe another ninja's training without permission. He used the Body Flicker Technique, appearing directly in front of Tetsuya, who barely registered his movement.
"Hello, my name is Uchiha Shisui," he said, extending a hand.
"Hello, my name is Kamiyo Tetsuya," Tetsuya responded, shaking Shisui's hand.
Shisui smiled warmly. "I know you—Konoha's little genius doctor. Some say you might even surpass Tsunade-sama one day."
Tetsuya modestly shook his head. "That's too much. Tsunade-sama is my idol; surpassing her is a distant dream."
Shisui's respect for Tetsuya grew. Seeing the bandage around Shisui's waist, Tetsuya's eyes gleamed with an idea.
"Shisui-senpai, you seem injured. If you don't mind, I can treat you," Tetsuya offered with a cute smile, looking up at Shisui expectantly.
Shisui considered for a moment before nodding. "Alright, let's see your skills."
Tetsuya's green healing glow enveloped Shisui's wound. As the injury closed, a notification appeared in Tetsuya's mind.
"Heal Uchiha Shisui, gain Chakra +3, Sharingan experience +2, Points +5."
Tetsuya's heart raced with excitement. Healing a powerful ninja like Shisui provided extraordinary rewards. This encounter not only boosted his abilities but also solidified a potential ally in Shisui.
"Thank you, Tetsuya. Your skills are remarkable," Shisui said, genuinely impressed.
"It's my pleasure, Shisui-senpai. If you ever need assistance, please don't hesitate to find me," Tetsuya replied, bowing slightly.
As Shisui disappeared into the forest, Tetsuya felt a surge of determination. With the support of strong allies and the power of his system, he was well on his way to becoming a formidable force in the ninja world.
