| 6 | The Yellow Flash!!!

A couple of minutes earlier, at the headquarters of the Alliance, Shikaku and Inoichi just finished their last words to their children and waited for their demise.

And just as they have thought, the Bijūdama exploded decimating an area of radius ten kilometres. But to their surprise, nothing happened to them. So looking at Ao, Shikaku asked "Ao! What just happened?"

"I don't know. Some unknown chakra has diverted the Bijūdama away from our location." Ao replied.

"What do you mean by unknown chakra?" Inoichi asked Ao.

"It's mine." The reply to his question was answered by someone else, and the man was standing in the middle of the HQ. Seeing him, all the Shinobi present were surprised, because this man is someone that they thought had died seventeen years ago.

Looking at Minato, Shikaku asked, "Are you Minato?"

"I'm. But questions can be asked later. I want all of you to stay in this location. Don't go running around. If another Bijūdama comes this way, I will just move it out of the way." Minato told him.

Sighing, Shikaku said "If you're alive then there is a chance that we can turn the tables. And for that, I'll be needing you on the battlefield."

"Don't worry about that. I'm a shadow clone, the real one is heading straight to the battlefield." The clone of Minato said.

"Good to hear." Shikaku said.

"Shikaku, can you inform her that I'll be there in a minute?" Minato asked him sheepishly.

Smiling at his old friend, who hasn't aged a bit from seventeen years ago, Shikaku said "Sure, the Red-Hot Habanero needs to know that her Yellow Flash is back in the world of the living."

Then with the help of Inoichi, Shikaku relayed the message, the first one was to inform Kushina about Minato being alive and the second one was the information to all the Shinobi on the battlefield about the return of the Fourth Hokage.

On the battlefield, after hearing the message from Shikaku, Chōza looked at Minato who was standing behind Kushina with a smile and said out loud "Minato is back."

The same reaction was happening all around the battlefield and I was surprised by the turn of events. And at the top of Jūbi, Obito muttered "So he wasn't dead? Then where was he when Nagato attacked Konoha?"

Looking at Minato, Madara said, "He's your sensei right?"

"Yes. And it seems like the HQ was saved by him." Obito replied calmly.

Madara just smiled at that and said "We can always send more to that place."

As he said that the Jūbi launched another Bijūdama towards the HQ. Seeing that, Naruto said "Dad! The Bijūdama!"

Hearing him Minato just smiled at him and embraced Kushina from the back and placed his jaw on her shoulder and said "You don't have to worry about that."

Then turning Kushina to face home he said "I'm back."

Instead of a warm embrace that he expected he was met with a fist to his guts, and then she hugged him tightly like if she didn't then he will go away from her life again.

As this was going on the Bijūdama that was sent towards the HQ vanished into thin air and there were no explosions or anything from the area surrounding that area.

Looking at it, Madara had an amused smile and said "Looks like the Fourth is a resourceful guy."

Minato patted Kushina and said, "Let's help our son, shall we."

She nodded at him while rubbing away the tears in her eyes.

Just then the Jūbi prepared another Bijūdama but was interfered by Bee, the Jinchurki of Hachibi.

In that instant, Naruto turned into his Kurama form and started to give out a chakra connection to all of the Shinobi and as he reached Minato, Minato just shook his head and turned into the Yin Kurama form.

Seeing this Naruto said in his mind 'Hey Kurama!, You see that? That's my dad! Isn't he a genius!'

Snorting at his words Kurama said 'Who do you think sealed me you, kit? The only thing I'm surprised about here is that he's still alive.'

'Oh yeah! You're right. How is he alive in the first place? Jiji told me that he died protecting mom and me from you.' Naruto said.

'I don't know, kid.' Kurama replied to him.

Then with everyone together they served the connection of Obito and Madara with the Jūbi, and right after that, the whole alliance started to fight with everything they got, including Kushina who used her Adamantine Sealing Chains to restrict the limbs of the Jūbi.

Minato teleported around the battlefield, saving as many Shinobi as possible from the wrath of the Jūbi.

As this was going on, all the Shinobi stopped in their tracks as the Jūbi started to change again.

Using this chance, Obito appeared behind Naruto to take him out. But he was met with a tri-pronged kunai and then a rasengan right to his chest.

Thanks to his Kamui, he let it pass through him and he heard Minato say "I won't allow you to get my son again right under my nose."

"Well, it was worth a shot. After all you're the fastest Shinobi, Yellow Flash." Saying that he was about to attack Minato but sensing that Kakshi is about to use Kamui on the Jūbi so he teleported away from Minato and went towards Kakashi and said "You may think you're slick... But I can read you like an open book, Kakashi."

After saying that both of them were teleported into the Kamui dimension, and unknown to both of them, Minato had sent a kunai with the Flying Raijin seal. As they disappeared Naruto shouted "Kakashi-sensei!!"

"Naruto! Concentrate on the battle here. Kakashi will be alright." Minato told him, believing in his student.

"Sure dad!" Naruto replied and got ready to save as many Shinobi from their death along with Minato.

As the Jūbi reached its third form, the terrain was changing due to its every single move. Madara believed that would cause the demise of most of the Shinobi, but to his surprise all of them were safe due to Minato and Naruto.

But the chakra cloak on everyone started to dissipate as the chakra of Kurama started to dwindle inside of Naruto.

As he was on his knees, Minato arrived near him and said "Give me your hand."

Naruto did as Minato asked and both of them appeared inside their mindscape with the Yin and Yang Kurama.

Looking at Yin Kurama, Minato said "Hey Kurama! Lend some chakra to your other half."

"Gladly." Saying that Yin Kurama started to give some of its chakra to Yang Kurama.

Seeing this happening Naruto asked Minato "Hey will we win this war?"

Smiling at him Minato said "I'm sure that you sensed when you were in the Kurama Cloak form, three powerful chakra signatures from Konoha."

"I did." Naruto replied to Minato, still not understanding what his dad is about.

"Don't worry, they are allies that can be counted upon and also, your friend will be coming with them." Minato said.

"You don't mean.... " Naruto couldn't finish it'' as Minato replied to his unasked question "Yes, it's Sasuke Uchiha."
