Chapter 4

Nara, Akimichi, and Yamanaka clans recently joined the newly formed Konoha village.

These three small clans maintain harmony between them for ages.

Any single one of them is a small clan but when combining three they can rival big clans and maintain a foothold in warring state period.

And most of the political and strategic decisions are made by Nara clan.

Some of Nara clan members look lethargic and weak, but these are the most elite among them. They look lethargic and weak due to the high activity of brain.

In the backyard a man in his late 30's or early 40's playing Shogi with his son Nara Shikato.

Nara Shikaho placed a black piece and said,

"Sometimes you have to make sacrifices to win."

Skikato rubbed his smooth chin, "tsk, but I don't want to sacrifice."

"Well, if you don't sacrifice at the right time then your whole army will be wiped out. So take your time, think carefully, without haste."

Skikato looks up from the board, seeing his father's leisurely demeanor, he clicks his tongue, "Tsk, pretentious "

"Well, do you think I am playing Shogi only with you?"

Skikato asks rhetorically," Then who else is there?"

"I mean, while playing with you, I'm playing simultaneously with myself."

"It helps in better utilizing our abilities in exercising the brain. For a Nara ninja, their brain must be primarily focused; physical and Ninjutsu are secondary."

Shikaho continues, " If anyone wants to survive in the world, then he must understand where his value lies."

"For us Nara clan our value lies in our brain and family like friendship with Yamanaka and Akimichi clan."

"One can't survive without the other two. It is like a balanced ecosystem."

"Just like in a wolf pack, the alpha wolf provides direction and leadership, guiding the pack's movements and decisions. The beta wolves protect the pack, ensuring its safety from external threats. Meanwhile, the omega wolf maintains social harmony within the pack, mediating conflicts and promoting cohesion. Together, these three roles ensure the survival and success of the wolf pack in its environment."

Shikaho picked up a water cup and took a sip, after moisturizing throat he said,

"Get ready, we'll meet someone in a little while."

Shikato asks while placing down a white piece and asks curiously, " Who?"

"Sarutobi Sasuke, current head of Sarutobi clan."

What he didn't tell his son is that he has a chance to become second Hokage.

A breeze blew away some sand and dust in a rolling motion in the street.

Sasuke retracted his gaze away from the window and saw that his guest had arrived.

Well, today he invited heads of Nara, Akimichi, and Yamanaka for a gathering.

As the door closed he saw,

A middle-aged man, Nara Shikaho, and his son who is 13 to 14-year-old Nara Shikato.

A man with blond hair with piercing emerald eyes in his late 20s, Yamanaka Togi.

A man with a hulking physique also in his late 20s, Akimichi Eto

Shikaho looks sharp and refreshed meanwhile Shikato looks like he just woken from sleep.

'It seems that not all intelligent Nara has to look lethargic, or it may be due to mastery over the brain.' Sasuke thought.

Sasuke filled up three cups of tea and said,

"Come, have a drink first."

Shikaho, Togi, and Eto sit down and Shikato stands beside him. Then after a sip of tea praise,

"Good Tea"

"Nice aroma"

"Hmmm."

Sasuke looked at the Hokage rock and said,

"Who could have thought that one day so many different ninja clans could live in harmony in the same place."

Shikaho follows Sasuke's sight and also looks at the Hokage monument, "Maybe one day there will be such a day."

Sasuke changing the subject said, "Well, it's now convenient to do business and buy necessary supplies easily."

Nowadays after the establishment of Konoha village various clans and individuals have started their shops and businesses in the village.

It makes the village more prosperous and attracts various businessmen and traders to flock toward Konoha.

In the warring state period, if you need products of a specific clan then you have to travel to their areas.

On which journey you may be attacked by rogue ninjas and bandits.

Compared to single rogue ninjas, bandits usually attack in groups and have considerable strength.

A small group composed of minimum 3 to 5 ninjas and trained civilian warriors.

Sasuke after a sip put down the cup and said, "Our clan has opened a weapon shop you can buy supplies from there at a discounted rate."

Sarutobi clan controls various metal mines and before Konoha, they supplied metal in bulk.

Now in Konoha's safe environment, they started to dabble in various areas.

Shikaho gave a small smile, "Of course, how can we miss such an offer."

After that, they talk about various trades in which the Nara clan provides medical supplies to the Sarutobi clan.
