3 Are seals my forte?

MC POV

"Well Kowai, here is the first thing you need to know for fuinjutsu. While we Uzumaki are naturally inclined towards it for some unknown reason even our ancestors didn't know, that is one of the factors why we are so good at them. The next reason why we are so good at seals is because of our obscenely large chakra pools, hahahaha." My dad said, his grin widening at his every word.

"Wow, dad, that's amazing. So, seals are like our speciality?" I asked, curious and excited.

"That's right, son. Seals are like our legacy, our pride, our gift. We can do things with seals that no other clan can. But we also have to be careful, because seals can be dangerous if not handled properly." He said, his tone becoming more serious.

"I understand, dad. I'll be careful, I promise." I said, nodding earnestly.

"Good, good. Now, let's start with the basics. Here is a pen." He continued and then he threw me a brush. "We will start with what is probably the easiest seal, the explosion tag. This seal just needs two inputs: store and release. This seal basically just stores chakra and then releases it all at once. You can infuse it with a particular nature type to form a particular explosion, but that wouldn't change the actual components of the seal." He explained, as he unrolled a scroll with a

blank space.

"So, come on, grab a sheet." My dad said, gesturing to the scrolls sprawled all around the floor. And so I did just that. I went to the nearest scroll, grabbed it, and placed it next to his.

"Ok, now just follow my movements." My dad said, as he dipped his brush in ink and started to write on his scroll. And so I did just that, trying to replicate every single one of his movements and strokes. It was harder than it looked, but I was determined to do it right.

As we both finished at roughly the same time, my dad turned his head and checked my own exploding seal. "Hmmm, very good. It seems you have a knack for this, just like your old man." My dad said, while stroking his beard.

"Really? Do you think so?" I asked, feeling proud and happy.

"Of course, I do. You have a good eye for detail, and a steady hand. You're a natural at this." He said, smiling warmly.

"Thanks, dad. That means a lot to me." I said, smiling back.

After that, we continued practicing our brushing techniques the entire afternoon. I learned a lot from him, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

As I woke up the next day, my mother was waiting with her head on her side, staring at my eyes.

"Aahhh!" I yelled, suddenly seeing two purple marbles staring at me just as I woke up.

"Oh, even when you are scared, you are so cute." My mother said, as she grabbed me by the collar and pulled me out of bed.

"Mom, what are you doing? Let me go!" I protested, trying to wriggle free.

"No, no, no. Today is my turn to teach you something. Yesterday, you were learning seals, something that was obviously part of our heritage. But something that isn't as known is the thing that I am going to teach you, which will be our Uzumaki Kenjutsu." She said, as she dragged me to the door.

"Uzumaki Kenjutsu? What's that?" I asked, curious and confused.

"You'll see, you'll see. Come on, hurry up." She said, as she opened the door and pushed me outside.

She led me to the forest behind our house, where a scroll lay on the ground. "And for that, we are going to use a TANTO!" She said, as she slapped her hand on the scroll and a medium long straight blade suddenly appeared in her right hand in a puff of smoke.

"A tanto? What's that?" I asked, as I looked at the sword in awe.

"It's a short sword, Kowai. It's the traditional weapon of the Uzumaki clan, and the basis of our kenjutsu style. Kenjutsu is the art of sword fighting, and it's very important for our family." She said, as she handed me another tanto that came out of the scroll.

"Why is it important, mom?" I asked, as I felt the weight and balance of the sword.

"Because it's one of the best way to defend yourself in this world aside from that part of our history, our culture, our identity. We Uzumaki are not only seal masters, but also sword masters. We have a unique style of kenjutsu that reflects our clan's spirit and values." She said, as she drew her tanto and pointed it at me.

"So, how exactly do we do it?" I asked, as I also drew my tanto.

"This style is based on our clan's very own spirit those being. In this kenjutsu style we use spins and twists like whirlpools to both produce devastating attacks and almost impossible to predict attacks even to those with doujutsu." She said, as she moved into a fighting stance.

"That's amazing, mom. I want to learn that." I said, as I tried to copy her posture.

"Good, good. Now, let's begin. I'm going to teach you some basic moves, and then we'll spar a little. Don't worry, I won't hurt you. Just try to keep up." She said, as she lunged at me.

And so, our lesson began. We then spent the rest of the day practicing and skating but I got hit so much that I wait to get back to doing seals.

On the next day after waking up and leaving my room, both my father and my mother were waiting at my door. "Dad, Mom you really need to give me a little space." "But it is finally time for the dual class, in this class we are going to teach you ninjutsu and chakra control." "I will teach you chakra control" my dad said "And I will teach you ninjutsu" my mom said.

"But first implement your chakra into this paper" my dad said before a piece of paper seemed to spawn out of thin air. "This paper is a chakra affinity paper meaning that depending on if it crumbles, soaks, turns to dust, burns or cuts it means you have a particular number off affinities."

"Ok dad, give it here." I said before my dad passed me the paper it first got soaked and then got cut into two pieces after that one piece instantly burned and after two second the other piece turned to dust. "So it seems you have four out of the five chakra natures, water being your best, which is also mine, then wind, then fire and finally earth." My mom said happily clapping her hands the bags under her eyes lessening for a few seconds.

"That's incredible, Kowai. You have a rare talent for chakra manipulation. Most people only have one or two affinities, but you have four. That means you can learn a variety of ninjutsu techniques." My dad said, looking impressed.

"Really? That's awesome. I can't wait to learn some cool jutsu." I said, feeling excited.

"Well, you'll have to wait a little longer, because before you can learn any jutsu, you need to master the basics of chakra control. And that's what I'm going to teach you today." My dad said, as he took back the paper and put it away.

"Let's start already! I said pumped up throwing a punch into the air.

"Woah, slow down there buddy but you first need to learn how to improve your chakra control." He explained, as he led me to the backyard.

"I see. So, how do I improve my chakra control?" I asked, as I followed him outside.

"There are many ways to train your chakra control, but the most common ones are the tree climbing practice and the water surface walking practice. These exercises require you to balance your chakra output with the external forces of gravity and water. They are simple, but not easy. You'll need a lot of concentration and patience." He said, as he pointed to a large tree and a pond.

"Tree climbing and water walking? That sounds fun. Which one should I try first?" I asked, eager to start.

"Let's start with the tree climbing. It's easier than the water walking, and it will help you get a feel for your chakra. Here's what you need to do. You need to channel a small amount of chakra to the soles of your feet, and use it to stick to the tree. You need to find the right balance of chakra, not too much, not too little. If you use too much, you'll break the tree. If you use too little, you'll fall off. Do you understand?" He said, as he demonstrated by climbing up the tree with ease.

"I think so. It sounds simple enough." I said, as I watched him.

"It sounds simple, but it's not. It takes a lot of practice and trial and error. Don't be discouraged if you fail at first. Just keep trying until you get it right. And don't worry, I'll be here to catch you if you fall." He said, as he jumped down from the tree and landed next to me.

"Okay, dad. I'll do my best." I said, as I nodded.

"Good, good. Now, go ahead and try it. Remember, start with a small amount of chakra, and increase it gradually." He said, as he stepped back and gave me some space.

I took a deep breath and focused on my chakra. I felt it flowing through my body, like a warm current. I tried to direct it to my feet, and felt a slight tingling sensation. I hoped that was enough, and walked towards the tree. I placed my foot on the bark, and to my surprise, it stuck. I felt a surge of joy, and lifted my other foot. It also stuck. I smiled, and started to climb.

I made it a few feet up the tree, feeling confident and proud. I thought this was easy, and wondered what the fuss was about. But then, I felt a sudden pull, and the tree bark exploded sending me flying. I gasped, and started to fall. I flailed my arms, trying to grab something, but it was too late. I was about to hit the ground, when I felt a pair of strong arms catch me.

"Whoa, there. Are you okay, Kowai?" My dad asked, as he held me in his arms.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Thanks, dad." I said, as I looked at him.

"You're welcome, son. That was a good try. You did well for your first time. But you made a mistake. Do you know what it was?" He asked, as he set me down.

"I used too much chakra, right?" I guessed.

"That's right. You used too much chakra, and broke the tree bark it is the same principle as the exploding tag seal. It is the bad thing of having so much chakra it is difficult for us to actually do it, but it is something we all have to do, now try again" He said, as he pointed to the tree.

"Ok, dad. I'll try to do better next time." I said, as I nodded.

"That's the spirit, Kowai. You have a lot of potential, son. You just need to keep practicing and learning." He said, as he encouraged me.

"Okay, dad. Let's try again." I said, as I smiled.

And so, we tried again. And again. And again. It was hard, and frustrating, and exhausting. But it was also fun, and rewarding, and exhilarating. I learned a lot from my dad, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

After a few hours of training, where I finally learnt both tree and water walking, we took a break and had some lunch. My mom joined us, and she praised me for my progress.

"You're doing great, Kowai. You're a fast learner, just like your father. I'm proud of you, son." She said, as she hugged me.

"Thanks, mom. I couldn't have done it without dad's help. He's a great teacher." I said, as I hugged her back.

"He is, isn't he? He taught me a lot, too. But now, it's my turn to teach you something. And that's ninjutsu." She said, as she let go of me and looked at me with a mischievous smile.

"Ninjutsu? Really? What kind of ninjutsu?" I asked, curious and excited.

"Well, since you have a strong affinity for water, I thought I'd teach you some water jutsu. They're my specialty, after all. And they're very useful and versatile." She said, as she winked at me.

"Water jutsu? That sounds awesome. What can they do?" I asked, eager to learn.

"They can do a lot of things, Kowai. They can create, manipulate, and transform water in various ways. They can be used for offense, defense, or support. They can be used to attack, protect, heal, or trap. They can be used to create weapons, shields, clones, or barriers. They can be used to shape water into different forms, such as waves, bullets, dragons, or sharks. They can be used to control the water around you, or even inside you. They can be used to enhance your physical abilities, or to weaken your enemies. They can be used to adapt to any situation, or to change the situation to your advantage. They can be used to do anything you can imagine, as long as you have enough chakra and skill. I would in fact say that water style is the strongest of the five basic chakra ." She said, as she listed some of the possibilities.

"Wow, mom. That's amazing." I exclaimed, amazed.

"Yes, they are, Kowai. And I'm going to teach you how to do some of them. But before we start, there's something you need to know. Water jutsu are not easy to master. They require a lot of chakra control, concentration, and creativity. They also require a lot of practice and experimentation. You can't just copy what I do, you don't have the sharingan after all, you have to understand how it works, and how to make it work for you. You have to find your own style, your own way of using water jutsu. Do you understand?" She said, as she looked at me with a smirking gaze.

"Ok, mom I will try and create my own way of using water style." I said.

"Now, come and follow me to the river so we can start with you practicing some simple water juts." my mom said as she turned around and gestured me to follow her.

And so, the full training had finally begun.
