81 Chapter 80: Magma Fist

The dinner with his family was quite wholesome for Ken. Talking to his family and listening to their stories made him excited for the future of his future shinobi life.

One would expect him to be worried about the future with the Akatsuki threat on the horizon but it rather excited Ken. He knew that being a shinobi comes with dangers but in the few months he has been a shinobi, he realised that he liked the danger and it brought him excitement more than fear.

Sadly for Ken, his uncle Asuma was on a mission so he could not join the family dinner. Ken was quite sad about the fact that he would not be able to tease him about Kurenai.

Both his parents narrated how happy they were with a break from Anbu while Hiruzen complained that he had to do some of their paperwork due to their absence and they should finish their training quickly and get back to their duties.

Ken himself asked some of the questions about a Lava release jutsu that he wants to make.

And currently he was practicing for the same technique.

"I can't wait to upgrade my Ash fist to something like magma fist." Kun said as he sat on a rock which was surrounded by liquid lava.

"Damn, It's so hot!" Ken whipped his sweat for the Nth time.

Now you might be wondering why he was sitting in the middle of Lava?

The jutsu that he wanted to develop was magma fist which is basically liquid lava fists instead of covering his hands with Ash stone. It was kinda like Akainu's magma punches.

Ken had his hopes that he might be able to turn into a magma man like Akainu from One piece without eating the logia fruit. There were Hozuki clan members that could turn their bodies into water and then there was this clan that can turn into smoke so why can't he turn into lava and maybe even ice in future.

His hopes were squashed when Hiruzen told him that those abilities are a kind of Kekkei genkai and can only be inherited if you are born in that clan.

Hiruzen exact words were "If turning your body into water was a technique that did not require a Hozuki lineage, I would have already learned that technique. Turning into lava is absolutely impossible and if you even try it, the lava would melt you from inside out and killing you within seconds so don't even try to train this technique."

Since option A was not feasible, Ken went with the next best choice which was to cover his hands with liquid lava.

He wanted it to be kinda like chidori but instead of lightning, it was made up of magma where the speed of lightning would be traded with the power of magma.

So now what are the problems that Ken is facing while making this jutsu?

Ken thought that since Chidori does not hurt the user hand, it should be same for his magma fist but then he remembered that Naruto's rasenshurinken hurt him. So like a good kid, he asked his grandpa for advice before trying to do anything dangerous.

--Flashback---

Hiruzen got worried after Ken proposed his idea to him. He was not worried about the destruction that Ken would cause to his lawn while using his jutsu but was scared of Ken's curiosity. If Ken started acting on his curiosity then he feared that he might turn into another Orochimaru who was too busy with his research these days and was doing some suspicious activities which Hiruzen did not investigate because of his love for his student.

But he still had to give advice to his grandson. Otherwise, he might do something to harm himself if his curiosity was not satiated.

"The jutsu you are trying to make is like a partial chakra mode. Lava chakra mode to be precise. I have seen the four tails Jinchuriki, Roshi of Iwa use it. My advice would be to not bother trying to learn this technique. Not because it's dangerous but because it is practically imposiible to learn for you at your age. But I know you would not give up so you can try to learn this technique but you will give up soon enough after you realise how impossible to do so." Hiruzen said with a sigh and when Ken asked why it was impossible he gave ken an explaination.

"Roshi could do it because he had the help of his tailed beast which gave him extreme control over lava release. Not only that, he was a jinchuriki thus his physique was able to protect itself from the lava cloak. Even the Raikages had to have a powerful physique before they can learn the lightning cloak jutsu. You are a tiny kid. Do you think that you can learn something like that with your weak physique?"

"Its not like I am learning to cover my entire body with the Lava cloak. The Lava cloak would surely hinder my speed by a large margin and even with my level of chakra I wont be able to sustain it for long. There has to be some way that I can learn only to cover my fists with liquid lava." Ken looked at Hiruzen with pure confident in his eyes.

With no choice, Hiruzen tried to think of a way for Ken to learn this jutsu without injuring himself.

"You would have to do plenty of physical training especially for your arms and shoulders. Along with that, the jutsu would likely burn your arm. Kekkei genkai users have a certain resistance to their kekkei genkais but it's not a lot. So you have to train to survive when the temperature is extremely hot. Your chakra control is also inadequate. I will give you some exercises that would help in that regard. While you are doing it, I will try to find the perfect combination of handseals for the jutsu to make it easier for you."

And that's why Ken was sitting in a lava pond made by him.

Ken drank his twenty third bottle of water While simultaneously wiping his sweat.

"I am having ice cream after I am done with this shit."
