48 Chapter 48: Orochimaru's Plans

While Shikuro was thinking about how to train his students to make them legendary shinobis, a discussion was going on inside the Hokage office between Hiruzen and Jiraiya.

"Did I just see Ken use Rasengan?" Jiraiya asked shocked

"Yes" Hiruzen nodded not as shocked as his student since he knew that Ken had learned Rasengan but it still seemed unbelievable to him that a 6-year-old kid could learn Rasengan.

Hearing this Jiraiya asked "Did you teach him that? Wait even if you did teach him, how did a 6-year-old even manage to learn such a complicated jutsu that took Minato years to create? It's simply impossible."

"Believe it or not, He learned the jutsu on his own in less than 6 months. I just showed him the jutsu once and the principal behind it. I did not even teach him how to learn this jutsu." Hiruzen replied with a wry smile.

"Less than 6 months? At this point in time, I think that he might be the reincarnation of your dad Sensei, the one hailed as the most talented ninjutsu practitioner ever to exist, Sasuke Sarutobi." Jiraiya said remembering the tales and achievements that he had heard about the legendary man and comparing him with Ken.

"Ken has a long way to go for that. Still, he carries the same genes as my father." Hiruzen said remembering his father.

"With Ken's talent, he might even learn nature transformation of Rasengan in the future." Jiraiya said

Hiruzen smirked hearing that "Now, Do you regret not taking this team to teach?"

"I have no words for Ken. Itachi is as much as a genius as him. His shuriken skills, ninjutsu skills, thinking ability and ninjutsu are also unlike any other 7-year-old. He might already be at Chunin level just like Ken. Kabuto on the other hand is also quite talented despite being overshadowed by the other two. He did not have a chance to use his medical ninjutsu in this fight but in the future, it would be quite handy. According to you, he can already do the mystical palm jutsu which means he has incredible chakra control at the age of 8. With sufficient training, he will too become a strong Konoha shinobi." Jiraiya said happy that the future of Konoha looked bright.

"But I will still stand by my decision of not taking any other students other than Naruto. Besides my own personal reasons, I believe Shikuro would be a better sensei than me for them. The kids seemed to have developed a sense of respect for Shikuro too after the battle." Jiraiya said as Hiruzen nodded at that.

"Well. I will go collect some material for my book from Konoha bathhouses before I am off from the village. I will deliver you the information about the peace treaty between Suna and Kiri once I receive it." Jiraiya said as he disappeared with a pervy smile.

Back on the battlefield, Shikuro was talking with his students.

"Ah, I forgot to ask you all to introduce yourselves. It is a tradition for newly genin teams to introduce themselves. This is my first time with a genin team so forgive me for forgetting about it. Well, My name is Shikuro Aburame, I am an elite Jonin of Konoha. Unlike my other clan members, I like to talk a lot. And I have a newly born son whose name is Torune whom I like very much. I don't really hate anything."

Ken was the next to introduce himself as he listed quite a few likes and a lot of dislikes. Itachi told about his love for his brother and his dream to become strong enough to stop all fighting. Kabuto talked about taking care of children in orphanages and making his own orphanage in the future.

"Good. We will meet again tomorrow for your first mission. Sadly, you would have to do D-rank missions despite having such good teamwork due to the village policy for newly graduated genin. While I think that you are ready for the C rank missions, You would not be able to take such missions for a few months." Shikuro said

"You don't have to worry about that. I would convince Grandpa to give us C-rank missions straightaway." Ken said nonchalantly

"That's breaking the rules, Ken! You should not do it." Itachi berated Ken

"It's not wrong to take advantage of my grandpa being Hokage. Besides, He is probably listening to our conversation right now and he might have already seen our fight. So he should know that our skills are not meant to be used for domestic work." Ken said as Hiruzen who was listening to the conversation could only sigh.

All four of them departed to have lunch as Shikuro treated them to a meal.

What they did not know was someone was observing them this whole time. This person was watching the performance of the three genins unknown to even Hiruzen.

'Such brilliant performance. Incredible. He is not only blessed with two kekkei genkais but his body possesses quite a lot of talent. I can't wait for him to grow up so I can make him mine.' Orochimaru thought after seeing Ken's performance.

'I should also gift him that once I perfect it then I can leave the village. I need to perfect it before giving it to him. With the money that Danzo's Root has given me from our previous deal, I should be able to increase the speed of my research by buying better equipment.'

'I wonder why did Danzo need 100 white snakes that could stretch or elongate 100 meters in length. What is he planning now? Leave it, I should focus more on my research.' Orochimaru was suspicious of Danzo's actions but he could not focus on it as he had other priorities.
