47 Chapter 47: End Of Genin Test

As Ken was hiding his hand, Shikuro was expecting just a punch or a kick or at max a hidden blade.

But his eyes widened as Ken's hand came into view.

'This is Lord Fourth's jutsu?!!'

"RASENGAN"

Before Shikuro could take any defensive measures, Ken slammed the Rasengan into the middle of Shikuro's chest.

"Try not to die sensei!"

The concentrated ball of chakra created a large shockwave that sent Shikuro flying as he broke through several trees before colliding with a rock. The chakra was still spinning at his chest as Shikuro fell over on his stomach.

Ken huffed as he took deep breaths as he was really exhausted both physically as well as from depleting his chakra.

"What was that jutsu?" Kabuto asked awed at the power of the jutsu.

Itachi too was awed as he approached his teammates.

"I did not see you use hand signs. Was it a jutsu without hand signs? And did you kill him?" He asked

"Yes, It was a jutsu without hand signs. I don't think that he would die just from that. He would probably spend a month in hospital." Ken said confidently.

"Should we take him to the hospital then?" Itachi asked

Before Ken could answer him, a voice spoke up from behind them.

"No need for that. Thanks for your concern. But I did not expect you to use the fourth Hokage's signature A-rank jutsu."

"YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME?!" Ken shouted shocked.

They saw Shikuro getting up as he dusted the dirt from his clothes. He did not seem to have taken any damage.

It seemed like he was not even hit by the Rasengan if not for a big hole in his coat where the Rasengan had impacted him.

Ken saw something black falling from the hole.

"Are those beetles?" Kabuto asked

"Armoured carapace beetles to be specific. They are beetles that have a very strong shell. Their breeding rate is pretty slow and they are quite rare so not many Aburame shinobi have them. Your jutsu was quite strong since it killed quite a lot of these precious beetles." Shikuro said as he buried the bodies of the dead beetles.

"So you are saying that you have your inner layer of clothing covered by these beetles and they act as your hidden armor," Ken said with blank eyes.

"Pretty much" Shikuro replied

"What does it take to learn Aburame techniques? What's the procedure for changing my clan?" Ken asked after seeing the diverse ways that Shikuro used his insects. He used them for defense as well as flying. Who knows what other ways he could use them?

Shikuro did not know how to answer that. Thankfully, Itachi came to his rescue as he asked "Is the test over? Did we pass?"

"Of course, We passed. Do you think even genins at the age of 12 could do what we did? If not for his annoying insects, I would have already burned him." Ken took out all of his frustration from the fight with his words as Shikuro started sweating.

'When Lord Hokage said that his grandson had a short temper, he did not mention that he had sharp words too.' Shikuro thought

"But we still need his approval right?" Kabuto asked

"If he rejects us then I will have Grandpa have his salary reduced. Let's see if he dares to do it. Hmph!" Ken snorted and

"You know that I am standing right here right?" Shikuro said but Ken just ignored him.

Shikuro sighed "Anyways, You have surpassed all my expectations and you clearly have shown that you all have what it takes to be a Leaf shinobi. You showed your grit, passion, teamwork, analytical ability, and your hard work. Congratulations you are now officially part of Team Shikuro."

'Well, they have shown much more than what was required. Itachi is quite talented and he quickly thought of a battle strategy in such a crucial situation. He would have been more lethal with his genjutsu but sadly for him, Aburame are quite resistant to Genjutsu. Kabuto on the other hand while not as impactful as the other two, fills the gaps of the other two. His kunai strikes were at the right time and at the right place coordinated with the other two. Once he learns some ninjutsu, he will become quite strong too. As for him....' Shikuro looked at Ken.

'A ninjutsu prodigy. He was using B-rank jutsus like it was child's play. Well, he is a child. He can also use three forms of Lava release. That rubber ball was quite ingenious. The Fourth's jutsu was truly unexpected. He is using A-rank jutsu at the age of 6 truly incredible. And he still has ice style to learn. It is truly a well-balanced team, already capable for C-rank missions and maybe even B-rank jutsus.'

'So what should I train each of them in? I will have to first find Kabuto's chakra affinity and train him in that. Itachi on the other hand would need to learn some defensive jutsu. He would also excel in Kenjutsu with his Sharingan. Ken should also learn Kenjutsu to solidify his close combat skills. I should also get his water nature chakra and Wind chakra nature training started. With that started, he would also be able to start his ice style training.' Shikuro thought about the training roadmaps for his students.

His job as their sensei has already begun and he was going to do his best to make his students legendary shinobis of the leaf in the future.
