46 Chapter 46: Genin Test (4)

Ken thought of various methods to prevent Shikuro from flying away but he understood that none of them would work. They were clearly outmatched against him in a taijutsu fight.

He not only had much more physical strength but was also much more skilled and experienced than them. Itachi's Genjutsu would also be useless against him.

All their ninjutsu attacks and other attacks were either blocked by him or successfully dodged.

Ken, Kabuto and Itachi regrouped.

"He is not even trying. He has not used a single offensive jutsu in our battle. He could have taken us out already when he fought us with taijutsu." Itachi said irritated at being so much outclassed.

Kabuto though was shocked to see Itachi and Ken being so good despite both of them being younger than him. They had so much better skill sets than him. He could not even help them beyond throwing some kunais. His medical ninjutsu could not even be used in the middle of the fight.

[A/N:Kabuto would be the Sakura of the team but much more useful than her and less annoying. Sakura haters give me a thumbs up.

"You kids are quite good. Now, As your sensei, I should also show you some of my skills. I am pretty sure that you can handle it. But still try not to die or get injured heavily. " Shikuro said while hiding his smirk with his turtleneck coat.

'Fire Style: Great Fireball jutsu'

A fireball was heading towards the three genins but Shikuro wanted to show his students that he was not weak with ninjutsu and he was confident that the three kids would survive with their abilities.

Still, for their safety, he has two insect clones unknown to the genins on standby to rescue them in case of danger.

He weaved hand signs again as he exhaled a large amount of wind at a high pressure.

'Wind Style: Great Breakthrough Jutsu'

The wind amplified the flames and a huge flaming tornado was formed which was heading towards the genins.

"You gotta be kidding me? He must have definitely supercharged his jutsu to make it this much stronger and bigger. Is he trying to kill us?" Ken asked no one in particular but he was quite shocked.

"Stop complaining and do something. You are the only one who could do something about it." Itachi said

Ken grumbled as he quickly formed hand signs while supercharging his jutsu.

'Earth Style: Earth Dome Jutsu'

Itachi and Kabuto were standing just behind them so it was easy for him to cover all three of them in the earth dome.

He had used 15 percent of his remaining chakra reserves to supercharge the earth dome jutsu. As a result, Earth dome jutsu was much more stronger.

But Ken underestimated Shikuro's combined jutsu, the earth dome started crumbling from the intense fire but Ken was quick to use even more chakra to repair the dome.

"Damn, that was insane." Kabuto said after Shikuro's jutsu died down.

'My chakra amount is now at dangerous levels. I can at most do two more jutsus. The strength of an elite Jonin is no joke. Though Shikuro sensei might be an S-rank ninja with his nano-sized insects. I thought that I was at the Jonin level with my lava release and my B-rank jutsus but I am clearly mistaken. I might be a chunin level at best. There is clearly much more to being a shinobi than ninjutsu.'

'Now I understand why Grandpa wanted me to focus on other skills. Sensei could dodge all my ninjutsu attacks. If I had better skills in fuinjutsu, kenjutsu or taijutsu maybe I would be able to trouble sensei. I also need more experience as a shinobi since combat experience plays a huge part in the combat power of a shinobi.' Ken thought as he realized his shortcomings.

He then looked at Shikuro who only had some mud on his clothes to show that he was in a fight. Otherwise, he looked completely fine and uninjured despite their relentless assault.

"Kabuto, Ken I might have a plan to stop him from dodging. But both you and Kabuto have to engage him in a close fight for a minute or two. Also Ken, do you have a jutsu that you can use in close range to take out sensei and enough chakra to use it?" Itachi asked with determination in his red eyes.

"I can do another two jutsus at max." Kwn said to which Itachi nodded and told them his plan.

Shikuro just watched them plan. He wanted to see what all his students were capable of.

The three genins quickly moved out in three different directions as Kabuto and Ken engaged him in another Taijutsu battle.

'I wonder what the kids have in store for me now?' Shikuro thought curious

Both Ken and Kabuto exchanged punches with him but they were clearly being overpowered.

A kunai was headed towards Shikuro who dodged it. Shikuro saw Itachi who had disappeared before targeting him with Kunais.

'So this is their plan.' Shikuro thought as he saw wires all around him. The trees were also connected with them. They were in such a way to prevent him from flying away.

Itachi weaved hand signs.

'Fire Style: Dragon Flame Net'

All the wires were now covered in flames preventing him from slicing the wires in half.

'But to take me out, Ken would still need to make hand signs for his jutsu which I can prevent him from doing as he is very close to me. He surely would not be able to beat me in Taijutsu and Kabuto does not have any ninjutsu to use.' Shikuro thought

Ken smirked seeing Itachi succeed in his part of the plan. Now it was his turn.

He rushed towards Shikuro while concentrating chakra in his right hand which was hidden behind his back as Kabuto separated from Shikuro.

"RASENGAN!!"
