34 Chapter 34: Kakashi Hatake

Ken was training near the training grounds which were near the Konoha forests. He was too bored training inside the Sarutobi compounds.

He wanted a change in scenery. Thus he decided to train there.

While he was practicing, Mukai came with an anbu with a dog mask who had spiky silverish hair.

Ken instantly knew who he was.

"Ken, I have somewhere to go. Hound, here is assigned to protect you till I come back." Mukai said

Ken just nodded and did not bother to ask where Mukai was going.

Mukai whispered something in Kakashi's ears "I will give you a tip as a senior. Don't anger him if you don't want to get burned. Also, don't take his death threats seriously, he most likely would not do so."

With that, Mukai disappeared.

'Why did I have to babysit such a troublesome kid?' Kakashi sighed

Ken looked at Kakashi and said, "So you are the Kakashi Hatake?"

Kakashi was surprised to know that the kid recognized him. He checked that if he was wearing the Anbu mask or not.

"How do you know who I am?" Kakashi asked

"Your hair is a dead give away you know. You are the only person in Konoha with that hair color and hairstyle. Besides I have seen and read about you in the bingo book."

"Kakashi Hatake, the son of the white fang, Kakashi of the Sharingan, the childhood prodigy, and Kakashi of the hundred jutsus. You have quite a good profile." Ken said as Kakashi now understood how the kid knew his name.

Ken ran up to him and began inspecting Kakashi by touching him weirdly.

'Kakashi is not as tall as he was at the start of canon yet. He is still a teen. That means he has a lot of potential to grow. If I remember correctly after losing his Sharingan, his chakra reserves got massive. He could also use all the jutsus that he had copied using his Sharingan.' Ken thought

'In the Kakashi hiden, it was even stated that Kakashi after the war was stronger than Kakashi in the fourth great shinobi war minus the time he had the double mangekyoū sharingan. He even developed the purple electricity to compensate for the Raikiri that he could no longer use due to losing his Sharingan.'

'To be very honest from my memories, Kakashi'd chakra problem was very bad as he was always in the hospital due to chakra exhaustion. Despite the many benefits that the Sharingan gave him, it was too chakra consuming for a non-uchiha like him. Since he is another of the iconic characters of Naruto and someone who would protect Konoha in the future, I should help him. Now the question is how can I help him without sounding suspicious.'

Ken thought of something to help Kakashi as he suddenly remembered something from what he read in Hiruzen's library. He made a plan in his mind and immediately acted on it.

Kakashi was not sure how he was feeling right now. He was being assaulted by a kid half his height. He could not do anything either since Ken was Lord Hokage's grandson.

"Hey silver guy. I heard that you became a genin at 5, chunin at 6 and jonin at 12. Is it true? You must be 15 right now?" Ken asked Kakashi

"Yes, What you heard is correct and yes I am 15 right now." Kakashi replied with a monotonous voice.

"Huh? According to my calculations, you should have become a Jonin with 8 or 9 if you had learned the white fang's sword techniques. So why the slow progress?" Ken asked

Kakashi was surprised to hear this. It hurt his ego that a kid was calling his progress slow and the worst part was that he knew that his progress was slow. He also knew the reason behind the slow progress. But he did not like to admit it.

The Sharingan consumed too much of his chakra not only when it was used but every time including when he does not even use it since it's always opened. Thus, he could not learn the techniques that his father entrusted him with.

He could get rid of the eye which has resulted in his slow progress. But he would rather die than do so.

His friend has given him the thing as a gift before his death and he would cherish it.

"No need to say it. My grandpa told me that using the dojutsu eye of any dojutsu clan without being a member of the clan is very chakra intensive which is likely the reason for your slow growth. I might have a solution for it. Follow me" Ken said before dashing away to the sarutobi compounds.

Kakashi could not even say that he did not need any help. He could only follow Ken reluctantly.

'What the hell is this kid up to and what did he mean that he might have a solution for it? I can't believe a five-year-old kid is giving me this much trouble in such a simple mission.' Kakashi thought but he would not lie that he was curious about what was the solution that the Kid was going to give him.

He wanted to learn and continue the legacy of his father but due to his lack of chakra, he could not do so.

As Ken reached the Sarutobi compound, he rushed to his grandpa's library. He went to the fuinjutsu scrolls section as he tossed one book or scroll away to find what he was looking for.

Finally, he found what he was looking for. He put everything back into their respective place so his grandpa would not notice the scroll missing.

Though, he believed that Kakashi as the loyal dog that he was would probably tell Hiruzen about it.

A/N: I am thinking about writing a pokemon fanfic. I just read Hard Enough on Royal Road and its so amazing. I just want to write something similar. It would not be exactly the same but will have a lot of similarities. I am thinking about a Larvitar as a starter. Of course it would not be given to mc just like that because of a God. It would have a backstory. What do you guys think? Oh, Yall should read Hard enough pokemon fic, its the best one I have read.
